Liked the idea and the story of it, but there are some cons, like the music (where some melodies were off-beat), and the walkspeed that was way too high. Also you get sometimes stuck on the walls.

I found this game to be quite glitchy and teleport me into nothingness but I see some potential in this and with a bit of work it could turn out to be a pretty nice game
Hey great job, I actually liked the audio and the art a bunch for this. The walkspeed and jumping were a little fast, and yeah easy to get stuck, also the UI buttons could have matched the rest of the game a little better. Enjoyed the vibe though!
I found it very funny xD same issues as above but eh. Loved finishing the game without entering the well (don't know if that was intended??). Also when I went back up after talking to the fish slushy maker, I was blocked in a bouncy black screen. Oh and you forgot to remove anti-aliasing from some tiles. capture2.png
The game was super glitchy but somehow that just made it more charming for me. Really good story/theme idea too. One issue though: When I got to the very end, I fed the octopus god my fishes, but then nothing happened. I waited around for a while, and explored other tunnels, but it seems like they just took my fishes without giving me the tools back.
@the-martijn. Thanks for the feedback! We didn't cut the music properly, it was fine in the program but additional sound appeared once exported that I noticed too late.
@giordas Thanks for the feedback! The teleportation part is essentially the end of the game.
@thisismatt Thanks for the feedback! Thank you so much :) It's my second attempt at 2D graphics and music and I would like to believe I'm getting better :D
@alyd-asmar Thanks for the feedback! Are you talking about the key? The black screen is essentially the end of the game. I somehow noticed and fixed the earth tiles but not the rock tiles, thanks for pointing that out. We're glad you liked our game:)
@labete keep at it!
@boxedmeatrevolution Thanks for the feedback! After feeding the fishes you go back to the bucket and go up. The game ends with you teleported into a black screen of nothingness.
This game is so on point with this LD's theme. I loved playing it even though it was a little glitchy at times xD
@zype Thanks for the feedback! We're glad you liked our game :)
Pretty fun game, although found some small bugs, like getting teleported into abyss at some point after leaving the deepest floor
@matif100 Thanks for the feedback! After you go up the game ends and since we didn't make any notable thing there, you end up in the abyss. Glad that you found it fun :)
@labete Yup, I was talking about the key ^^
I feel like the movement needs a little bit of work. Sometimes my character went really fast but sometimes slow. I thought the last part when everything went black was a bug until I read the previous comments. The games fits the theme well and I like the change of ambient sound at the last level
You may be able to address the movement speed by accelerating up to the max speed instead of instantly; maybe just a quarter of second or so (not too long) to get to max speed. I had some trouble with the wall sliding, it could have been better by only slowing the player down when their velocity is negative.
Now at the bottom, that music kicked in and I was ready beat up that boss!
The movement was a bit frustrating, I was getting stuck on walls a lot, and the bucket elevator animations were a bit too slow. Still, pretty cool game, I enjoyed the exploration (although there were a lot of dead ends?)
@nachodlv Thanks for the feedback! The movement speed depends on the ceiling :D As @bloodycoin explained (he did the programming part) where the ceiling is lower it collides with the player and slows them down.
@alchemic Thanks for the feedback! Fish was supposed to be at the ends of the tunnels, but due to movement issues and sticking to walls we decided to move them a lot closer, and therefore the dead ends happened.
This was a cool game. I do echo what others have said about the movement. Getting those issues fixed would make the game much easier to control. Overall, well done!
Cool game but a little glitchy. The ending screen is rather confusing, a simple message that you won would make it a lot better.
I found the player would stick a little to walls, perhaps reducing the friction or changing the collider would help? Some little glitches here and there that I'm sure with more time you would've ironed out. That being said I did finish it, that is give all the fish and go back up and the screen goes black. Maybe a "you win" text? Thats what I done as I ran out of time in mine. Your game is packed with charm, from the artwork to the story to the funky music, would like to see this with more polished movement, and just to see if that octopus actually sticks to its word. I'll be happy to give it another go if you take it further
Im not sure what happened, but i think theres a row of blocks missing colliders, so i fell into a pit, and falling into the pit for some reason increased my movement speed by x5 haha :D
Hey I really liked the idea of the game ^^' The graphics looked pretty stylish and the music was quite funky. You could improve on the movement though. I think both the jump and the walking were a bit too fast. I couldn't even read the signs since I rushed past them ^^' If you could improve on that the platforming part would feel nicer ^^ The level design was still quite nice and I was really surprised by the octopus part so good job :)
I like the whimsical style! The writing, art, and music fit together nicely. I think a good game should have either a challenge or interesting choices, but this game felt pretty straightforward. That's probably what I would focus on next time.
Hey I just finished your game - your art style is cute, and worked particularly well for the final punchline at the bottom of the well. The story is also quite nice and cute, and I think you nailed it there. As others have said, some physics cleanup will go a long way in your future games, but that's exactly what game jams are for. Way to go, and congrats on finishing and submitting.
nice Game, but the music is a bit annoying.
I got stuck in a hole and was never able to jump out of it. However, I liked the storytelling aspect and the cute graphics. The music was crazy. Made me laugh at first, but then drove me crazy! Good work!
Music gets repetitive after a while, there was some bugs that didn't let me continue, good work afterall!
