I love this little game! What an awesome first effort! I really enjoyed playing, though I found that the drill moved a little slower than I wanted it to go. I think if it had moved a little faster I would have played for longer, but I really enjoyed what you've made! (Gotta watch out of those tomatoes! They're everywhere underground!)
Interesting game, the drill moved way too slow for me though, it was very frustrating just waiting to make it to the hole. Enjoyed the art and overall theme though!

Cool idea and realization. Gl and mu congratulations <3
I like the game idea. Fits well within the theme. For me, the player itseld and the enemies could be a bit faster which could give a little bit more vibrance to the feel. Overall well done!

I liked the menu and tutorial. The drill moves a little too slow is probably my only complaint. Nice work!

First of all, I was pleasantly surprised to see that this game has a menu - complete with a shop and tutorial.
Once I got going I noticed that this game has a sort of rogue-like feel to it, which is right my up alley! I like how you can keep the coins after you die, and upgrade your stuff for your next run. Really fun and engaging gameplay loop right there. And the speed boost is an absolute MUST.
The art is a bit simple, as is the music. But they both sort of work well together in a way that makes it feel intentional. The music, however, did get a little repetitive, and the sine wave tones cut through the mix a little too harshly at times.
Fun game with a nice use of the theme. Thanks for making this!
This was a fun game and looks like you guys had a fun time making it! Im really impressed you guys made this in Scratch, since I suck at Scratch and could never grasp how to use it properly. I also never seen it done before for Ludum Dare, so fantastic job on that! My only suggestion is maybe make the drill a bit faster. Also, whoever made the music kudos to them, they clearly know what they are doing and it was just great.

stupid game but really funny !!! :smirk:
The MS-Paint art is cute! I think overall the game is a bit too easy. The character moves so slow but most of the threats are either stationary or way too far away to be concerned about.
Also, since the turning is pivoted on the front of the character (the "drill" part) turning moves your hitbox. This means if you move towards an obstacle and then turn around, you might hit the obstacle simply by turning around which feels a bit unfair.

Very nice! Great to see a fellow Scratch user!
Loved the theme. Definitely felt like the drill was overly slow and dragged your game's speed but besides that, I really like the design. Great job
Hey, I played your game for a while and got some feedback to give :)
- The letters in the menu were barely visible (this might be my bad, I'm colorblind) - Like many people pointed out, the drill speed is too slow. Speeding it up a bit would make it more fun. - You need to place a pivot on the center of the drill so the rotation works correctly. - I think this game would work better with hand crafted levels, as the randomly generated enemies can just spawn in non-dangerous positions - or on top of the player, happened to me in my last life :( - I didn't see any incentive in collecting the coins. Maybe having a highscore would be good enough, although it would be cool to have an upgrade system (but I understand there's only so much time in a jam)
Keep it up!

Congratulations on your first game of Ludum Dare! Creating a game in such a short time is not an easy task, so well done!
To add to the previous feedback. Making the player a square shape instead of a rectangular shape would make it more controllable for the player, as then accidentally hitting an enemy while turning would not happen. I also think this game would benefit from turning it into an arcade game by reducing the player size but also making it much faster and adding more but smaller obstacles and moving enemies so the player has to play on reflex. Also, perhaps if the player could not advance to the next level without collecting coins, that would add some interesting opportunities to the game mechanics.
Overall, nice job on the game!
Congratulations on your first entry, and thanks for submitting the game to my stream :)
Congrats on your first jam. I liked the well laid out instructions you added, it's usually very hard to get that in a jam, especially your first. I was wishing to have like a little boost ability to speed up the drill, perhaps a feature to add? The rock enemy looks too friendly to be an enemy and he spawned directly on me a couple of times, sop perhaps tweaking how the enemies are laid out? Overall well done on getting a complete game experience on your first go, I like the enemy ideas too. As the others have mentioned I think it would play a lot better with more speed. Keep it up
