I scored a 172. There are a lot of killer miners! I just wanted the gems for myself! Nice game. Everything worked the way I expected. Pretty awesome that it's with your own game engine. Good work!

This is a cool game. At first, I thought it's impossible to outrun the enemy miners, but it seems that there are ways to temporarily trap them in a hole to buy some time. The graphics and sound are good, but there should be sound effects when collecting gems! Also nice to see that you are using your own game engine. I'm also building my own engine but it wasn't ready for this jam.
great idea! also it's java so it can run on any platform :)
nice to see someone alse is using his own engine, I know that recuires a lot of work and can get you into trouble when jam starts and you find out some inner bugs) Cool little game, nice touch with players clones who also dig. Maybe I would recomend adding more obsticles to the player to make it more challenging.

Woah, that got scary real fast! 😅 Started out digging by myself and thinking it was a bit easy, and then people started coming after me, more and more hacking in the distance. They got me in the end! Some intense music could really have elevated this, I think. I think what the game is missing (unless it does have it and I just didn't find it) is some way to heal, to introduce a bit of strategy (go for the heal or fight or keep running?) and give you some agency. Neat!
Hey, nice game you got there! Even more impressive to have a game in your own engine, so good job on that part! The game works as expected and I like the different materials and gems. Some improvements I'd like would be if the gems would fall down when you destroy the block beneath them and some kind of visual clue how much points each gem awards you. Nonetheless, good job!
Nice, classic game here. Heavy screen flickering when I ran in it fullscreen mode, but fine when in a window. Graphics are bright and cheery, pity there was no sound (could just imagine it with a happy little chiptune :notes:). Gameplay was good, controls responsive and clear instructions given at the beginning. I don't know if it's a bug, but enemies would stop digging at a tile if I was standing on it; might be a bit more fun if the enemies could ambush you by dropping you down :grin: Good work!
@digital-bacon thank you for playing! actually there should be sound of digging. Probably there is some problems with audio in my engine, since I don't understand deeply how audio in java works (I had some problems during development, and I assumed that there is little probability that sound will not work in some cases which I don't understand) Enemies aren't so smart, so they dig only when player is below than enemy..
It's an interesting take on the subject, I've only seen one game kinda similar in this LD, but it was more tower defense game and this is more reflex based. Good job!
