This game feels really polished and is a lot of fun. I hope this gets expanded upon.

not bad! really liked the ship and bubbles!
Like previous commenters said, excellent polish and visuals, particularly on the particles. The controls also felt smooth and comfortable. It did get samey after a while, and I eventually stopped after I started seeing the same levels again. It might have helped to hold back one of the enemy types for a bit and introduce it later, or to include a hard ending or goal. I also noticed there was an overheat mechanic for the gun, but I never came anywhere close to filling the bar, so its capacity probably could have been reduced.
Very satisfying controls, and nice graphics. I reached the bottom of the map and it wouldn't let me go any further, which seemed a bit strange. Felt tight and responsive.
@bmacintosh thank you so much for the feedback! Good observations as well
@manan it is strange! The levels are randomly generated, so going sideways would eventually give you a way down, it must have bugged out
Pros: - Graphics, I have a very popular Pixelart this year. Especially Start Screen looks very nice. - Control I have nothing to criticize, a small shift back at every shot adds a lot to realistic - a good idea with a limited amount of shots in a row - the bubbles looks cool too
Cons: - Sometimes UI covers a piece of map where I need to see :eyeglasses:
It was honored to play and rate the game.
I didn't really get a feeling of being underwater, controls felt a bit too tight? Some adjustment to physics could do it. Intro was a nice touch.
On one screen I just spawned inside the wall and couldn't move.
Graphics are in general pretty nice, it lacks consistency, although i am a big fan of the particles.
I thought the choice of player movement was a bit odd, i was expecting something like a car, but it ended up being more like a top-down game. Inclusion of the crystals is kind of arbitrary, i understand it's to keep the player from just speeding through everything, but i would've liked it if they were more significant.
My run was cut short at 800m when i entered a black room and got softlocked. That aside, the game itself is decently fun
Nice work! The controls were tight and gameplay was juicy. Audio was good too and I liked the particle effects. I wish there was more variety in the gameplay or levels but I understand this is a jam game. Good job!
This was really relaxing once I figured out that I was meant to avoid hitting the walls. The art and audio were really nice and the gameplay, while simple, was well built. I would have liked to have seen some more variety in the enemies or maybe had the number of enemies slowly increase, but it was still fun as-is. Nice work!
The graphics are good, could be more details to represent the character under water, I didn't had that feeling, the movement felt like a topdown instead of being underwater, maybe some physics could do the trick. Gameplay in general feels good, felt like a casual a game, had some little bugs but its understandable, we are in a jam afterall. Overall: Medium-rated game, thanks and good luck!
Love the graphics. You can't go wrong with some decent pixel art! Audio was great. Plus it was procgen, always a tricky thing to implement, but this worked really well. Great LD entry
Fun! The game has a bad case of mismatched artstyles, but it's made up for by the wonderful animations and squash&stretch. The core loop is pretty decent, though it sometimes feels like it's missing something.
Nice atmosphere, largely thanks to the music and the movement of the sea creatures. Good pixelart feel as well, although different sizes of pixels is slightly jarring. Some nice effects.
The health meters sometimes cover enemies and geometry, making me lose health undeservedly! Gun overheating is a good mechanic, but made me think, shouldn't cooling be more easy underwater?
My run ended when I spawned inside a wall, with no way out, that was kinda sad.
Fun, smooth gameplay! Controls are fluid and easy to use, which makes for minimal "getting to know" the game. Well done!
