The art style is really good on this! The submarine is also the right amount of "floaty", you have to be careful to make sure you won't crash into anything but it can still be controlled easily.
Nice variety of enemies blocking your way. I did have a issue where two Jellyfish blocked the way forward but they fixed themselves after a while. If you could add some indication of where they'd dash to that would be useful.
Applying the art style to the in-game UI would help to round out the experience even more.
Good job on the entry, I had some fun playing it. The sneaky eel was my favourite :joy:

For a compo game this has a really high production value. The professional music and sounds together with very good graphics makes this expereience very enjoyable. The gameplay is something we have seen before but the implementation is so good I found myself wanting to go on and explore deeper. Very nice entry. Good job!

Really great! Reminds me a lot of one of my favourite games/levels.. https://youtu.be/4zQupclPDIU?t=117 Loved it!
Really liked the art, very well polished for 48h. Just took me a while to use better the controls but I think this is mostly my fault hahaha. Very well done =D
Nice atmospheric music, the sprites were nice and the lighting created a really nice mood. The cracking glass was a nice touch. The controls were a little difficult and that combined with the hitboxes of the walls made it a little difficult, but it's a really nice game, well done.
This was very well done! The art was solid and internally consistent. The audio was really nice. I liked the controls.
The art is beautifull ! But because of The various form of the asset the collision are not very clear, and for your type of game this is very important, i would like more inertie when i push a force in a direction, but maybe that can make the game more difficult. You have made great work on this entry.(PS:music is a bit loud).
Loved it! Got killed by the fish with the light on his head. But yeah, so well polished! Thanks for the game!

Very nice presentation and atmosphere! The controls and obstacle patterns takes some getting used to, but you get the hang of it after a while.

@kernon Thanks for the feedback ! You are absolutely right, I had this level in mind while making the game (I first started the gameplay of the ship without thinking much of external references, and thought "Oh wow, that looks a lot like this level from Earthworm Jim, might as well base a part of the design of the game on it"). It can be seen especially for the rounded form of the player's submarine and the controls allowing the player to go smoothly in any direction, which I thought were quite nice.

@robowarrior1982 Thanks for the feedback. I quite agree for the collision problem, I initially wanted to make the hitboxes fit their graphic models, but since the blocs are quite detailed, the hitboxes had too many sides which made the browser version of the game lag quite a lot, so I had to simplify them a lot eventhough they weren't as clear as they could have been. But thanks again for the feedback, I will certainly take this into consideration for my future productions ! (and concerning the inertie part, I tried making the ship more slippery which was a nightmare to steer through the more narrow gaps, so I settled for these parameters, eventhough they can't be perfect)

As someone who's been watching a lot of deep sea documentaries lately, this one appeals to me.
I really like the hand drawn aesthetic it has going on, the coral in particular looks pleasant to me. The collisions on them felt just slightly inconsistent at times, with some areas giving you some leeway when touching the terrain and others damaging you for the slightest nudge, but it was absolutely a minor problem.
The variety of ocean life was great, from the giant angler fish to the ninja eel. I think they felt pretty good overall, if a little punishing. Maybe making it a little easier to bait the eel into attacking and giving them a slightly longer cooldown, or giving the jellyfish a subtle indicator of what way they will go next with a glow or a stray tentacle or something, just as a way to make it feel more like it's on the player when they do get hit.
Controlling the sub takes some getting used to, but I rather like that versus just having traditional controls and I found myself getting much better with it after a couple attempts. I also think it was a great idea to have both damage and oxygen as game mechanics, so the game is pushing you for speed but you need to be careful at the same time, it works out quite well.
Overall a very solid compo game, great work!

The art looks amazing !
I noticed your game because one part of my game is also capsule submarine, and your game is really compelling! It's quite polished during such a short time, with those little details including the glass broken and various of effects. The music is quite high quality too :)

I really like the visuals and that you managed to make such a details (rider looking in move direction), broken glass etc. The atmosphere is great and all the sound fx and music complement the experience. Great job! I did not manage to get back tho :D the corridors were maybe too much narrow.
Really like the game controls are tricky to master but soon got the hang of it. A few more enemy types would have been nice but the graphics a really good and the theme fit well. Nice.
The graphics and color palette are very effective and the controls are tricky and floaty but just right for deep sea exploration. My one quibble is that the terrain hit boxes seemed a little inconsistent -- sometimes the slightest bush would do damage and sometimes I could float through them. The music was great, too!
i am really impressed by this game. the attention to detail, like when you are going up the player looks up is fantastic. the controls were a little difficult to figure out at first but i got used to them. a perfect ld jam game. thanks for making it.

Pfiou, just got back with 5% oxygen and 5% at my second try, nice balancing ! Enjoyed the soundtrack, it was matching very well.

Nice game, love the graphics and the distortion shader(?) over the background.

Good gfx, nice audio - music is not annoying surprisingly. The only thing to point out is the collision with walls. Can't tell where I will hit them exactly. Otherwise it's a solid entry.

Brilliant graphics, sounds and mood. I just couldnt playing too much because of the controls. The arrows were too hard for me to move the oxygen, bucause, its going down and top, but we only have right and left to move it. Thats confuses me a lot. Great game, I wwish i could play more! congrats

This game feels pretty polished! The atmosphere is beautiful! I liked a lot the idea of controlling the propeller with the arrows instead of the whole ship! This and the gameplay somehow reminded me of *Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime*, if you don't know it already, you might wanna check it~ In the end, I died because I got stuck at one shark.. and none of us could move haha  Good job!

@virimine Thanks for the feedback ! I initially had in mind the Tube level from Earthworm Jim when designing the gameplay, but now that you are saying it, I can definitely see the similarity with Lovers In A Dangerous Spacetime (except for the co-op aspect of course, although my game can also be played cooperatively with one person controlling the direction and the other activating the propeller if you are brave enough !).

I really like the detail of the pilot looking in the direction you're going. Congratulation on your game!
The art and music created a really nice mood! However, all the decorations and vegetation on the walls made it really difficult to judge where the hitboxes were.
