Quite a nice simple game! I love the art style! Nice job
Nice and simple, love the art style! Could do with a couple more enemy types to mix things up
Very nice idea. The game may be a bit repetitive (however, this is already very nice for something done in such a short time).
Great job on the game. I loved the art and western aesthetic of the game. The track sound and sound of the cannon were very satisfying. Enemies need some kind of death feedback rather than just disappearing. That would really up the satisfaction of shooting them. And I wasn't sure what the different colored enemies represent other than the red ones that seemed to run around in circles towards the track.
Nice game, but I think it would be more engaging if the difficulty increased faster.
Pretty fun, but gets repetitive quickly and the difficulty definitely needs to be ramped up. I feel like increasing the damage vandals do to the tracks would be a good start, and maybe you could do the game in waves and in-between waves use points to purchase upgrades for the cart.
I think that would help make the game more engaging and enticing for players to spend more time shooting up vandals to spend their hard-earned points on becoming a superior wagon defense system. :joy:
So there I was, going round my track loop, couple of fellows here and there trying their luck, no biggie. After a few waves I was starting to think it was going to be quite a pleasant and chill day AND THEN SUDDENLY MY TRACK STARTED GETTING ATTACKED BY HUMONGOUS HENCH GUYS AND CRAZY ASS RED GUYS COMING AT ME IN CIRCLES AND THEN FIRES, FIRES EVERYWHERE.
This was really fun and I'm glad you shared it with me! Here's my highest score yet!

Honestly i think this is what games on ludum dare should look like! Its fun and has cool audio, however It should be a little bit harder IMO, and some sort of retro filter on top would also be cool. Great job.
Pretty fun, looks great and sounds great too, I would've like to have a more zoomed out camera though since it's hard to see enemies from the top and bottom.
It was all going so well and then suddenly I got overwhelmed

I had fun playing this game. My first attempt I got a score of 2341. I was doing good until I forgot to watch for the fires.
Very fun game. The ramp up of the difficulty over time is well paced. One thing that I would probably add is some indicator of the rails damage outside the repair view. E.g. make rails blink red for 2-ish seconds before they actually start burning so the player can prepare to jump over them or repair them quickly.
A fun take on the endless shooter. The game could do with a death animation for the enemies and an explosion for the dynamite. The repair aspect could also do with some improvements. The numbers were hard to read, a damage bar would serve better and give the player immediate feedback on where to prioritise repairs. Some way to communicate damage outside of repair mode would be helpful too.
Hey pretty cool :D I have to same the same what @super-hadoken mentioned above. Missed some animations on explosions, falling enemies, some better indicator of you health bar. Also there could be some sort of a main character on the cart. Overall it's fun and catchy concept, I enjoyed my time playing!
The core game loop works so well you can keep playing and playing! It´s one of the best I tried this jam! I´d like to keep notified if you follow this after the jam, with some minor tweaks this could be a fun mobile or even steam game.
Simple little game. I liked the power-ups. The difficulty curve is nice as well, although it ramps up very quickly after a while -- but I think you did a better job than I did with my entry :D I would recommend either making the loop smaller relative to the window or using a square aspect ratio so the enemies spawning at the top and bottom aren't so much more difficult.
