It's pretty good keep it up
Simple but well executed concept! I like how you balanced the values, it is a very calm but interesting pace. I wonder if the game could improve from having more differentiated choices, after a while I felt like picking the same decisions over and over. Great job!
Pretty nice game. Could be made into a super addictive phone game. nice work.
Interesting concept! Kind of reminds me of Tiny Tower (a mobile game) which I used to spend unreasonable amounts of time playing. The graphics are also simple, yet fun nevertheless.
Cool game. I would play it on my phone. I love these games.
I really like this type of game.. and the theme too.. It's friggin hard to keep a business alive. I realy wanted to play more, and it really is not as easy as it seems!
Good work, this was a really nice game experience.
I like beer so I like this game ^^ As a feedback I can say that I really liked the music and overall vibe. It is really chill game and as someone mentioned before I would play it on phone. Solid entry ;)
It's tough to make a game with this many layers understandable, especially in a game jam, but after playing and losing once I generally go the hang of it. You were able to create quite a bit of content in a short time. The vertical layout was cool, though it was just a bit too tall for my browser window so I had to scroll the window up and down and I can't seem to fullscreen it. The character animations were also cute.
The game is very fun, I liked the music and simple visual style. The gameplay is not complicated, but it is addictive. I would play this game on my phone
I think this game was well executed and fun to play, but the pacing felt a bit slow to me
@superpatch yeah, I tried to keep at least a minimum to have some options, to be honest I almost didn't have the time to create 2 of each item, but for a post-LD I'll definitely add several extra options of everything
@kiln yeah, I thought about that game during the development, and for the art, this is the first time I tried to draw all the art for a game, so, I tried to keep simple, but also, having some nice animations.
@d1str4kt0r I tried to balance some of the stuff, I have a google spreadsheet with a whole bunch of numbers, one tip maybe would be for you to try either hire more expensive staff, they improve the speed and amount of money you make
Сlassic time management is a time killer. Made with a very good balance. Make good graphics and can be released in the App Store
I will play again with this insight then! I started off with the higher purchases.. but i bankrupt because i tried to make the 2th floor very fast... much like my bankruptcy on real life
This a nice idea. Beer Tycoon :)
I'm a sucker for resource management games and drinking games which is why I own 3 failed bars.
The highlight of this game was watching a little meeple come in and get toasty for the first time. I'm not patient enough to play out whether or not there is a viable path to multiple-story brewhouses, but the ones that I did have shutdown within 3 months or less were a regular "brewhaha" while we were open. I thought the soundtrack was gonna mess me up but I have to say - it fits, and it gets inside after a bit, but it still felt a bit loud, just like a real bar..
On the negatives, the text is a bit small and dense (but you had a great hierarchy of info in the purchase menu which totally makes up for that!). The purchase menu itself could have been a bit bigger. The theme connection is a bit too loose.
Raising my glass to the only alcoholic business venture game I've come across this jam!
Great idea, but the game is too complicated for me. I was never able to play for longer than the 1st game month
@scott-steffes thanks for the feedback, and actually I didn't really think about having the fullscreen button, it's a nice extra. My idea is to always go for a mobile layout because if the game goes well I can just keep working on the mobile version, and the resolution for the resolution I use, I still have some extra space. @greebs the idea of the background sound is to have something not that loud like a bar, more like something to cheer you up, I'm terrible in checking sound volumes =/. And for the texts, on one side I would like to have more time to improve the layout and content, I feel that everything is still a little confusing, there is a lot extra stuff going on and I'm not really passing all that information. I just kind of got with the first layout I created. Thank you for all the helpful feedback guys =)
Hahaha this is funny game. Could be some cold Ale as reward though... Seriously love the mood in this one :)
It's cuteeee. Its fun to play even tho I'm not one for tycoon type games. I enjoyed it.
really fun to play. would love to see this on mobile
Really good game. I would love to have a sell button or something like that. I had a lot of fun playing the game. Good Job!
@nachodlv thanks for the feedback, but what do you mean by the sell button? to sell the equipment you built (like, be able to upgrade to better stuff)? I never thought about having a sell button
Fun little thing, lots of promise. It was hard to estimate how much income you get from things, so it's very hard to make informed calls about what would be a good purchase.
Everything that I tried seem to lead to monthly loss. A little help, perhaps? I can't tell what those yellow boxes mean. "Brewery System Small" and "Brewery Equipment Small" seem to have the exact same attributes but the former made the beer twice as expensive for some reason xD
@gimblll thank for the feedback, and now that you mentioned, it makes totally sense for me as well, but for the LD I just thought about having something like small, medium and large. @spiralhalo the attributes depending on the amount and the color. yellow = 1, green = 2, but also, the name (which of a later implementation), so, System is better than Equipment, but I didn't have time to tell that anywhere.
The idea, music and visual style is all really good. But it is really difficult to get the business running so you earn enough to not go bankruptcy at the end of the month. Overall is this a good jam game. Well done.
Good game! It gets a bit addictive. It would be perfect as a mobile game, since it's funny to play it while doing other things. Otherwise, I would fasten it a bit. Well done
Great soundtrack and cool gameplay, had fun!
the balance of the game seems really complicated to understand
Great gane
