Fun game. It never forces the player to move up or down to avoid obstacles though which would add a bit of extra depth. Enjoyed it a lot.

Holy crap those explosions are dramatic hahha
Fun and explodey! Did you disable the graphics rating category because you're sure it'll be 5 stars? Well you're right!
I had fun! Nice fluid controls and action!
Cool game, well done ! I think the difficulty must be more progressive. At the beginning, doors can be more open for example.
@wet-band-aid I totally agree, that was the idea to begin with, but found it made the game pretty difficult when you can fly up and down in those narrow halls so I was forced to scratch that idea. I should include that in the hard setting though. Thanks for reviewing it.
@peterfiftyfour I thought they were not dramatic enough. Haha I’m kidding. Hope you enjoyed the game.
@moffkalast yup, VERY explody. I really love the graphics I chose, but sadly I’m not nearly talented enough to make those. They are from the Unity asset store, that’s why I disabled the category.
@nsadie thanks, glad you enjoyed it.
@nurk great point, I had hoped to add movement to the doors and even power ups but I ran out of time. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Cool game! Good choice for the assets, good music! I feel like the beginning should be easier (even on easy mode) and it should be slightly getting more difficult
Ok a couple tips when jamming xD
- Post your games on itch.io, that way your entries can be on one game-related place. - If possible, include a WebGL build. This will increase your plays by a lot. - Rate and comment a lot of other games. This is the only stable way to make your game gather enough ratings. - Try to keep your comments constructive.
This is a good looking game! I didn't get that far into it (I'm a bit of a spazz so I always overshoot the orientation), but does the up/down control ever come into play?
Unfortunately 440MB is too big for me :(
This feels like a much better version of a game i tried to make several years ago when i was just learning unity. https://masterkrepta.itch.io/bit-shifter. You did a much better job on it than I did for sure :) The difficulty could definitely ramp up over time a bit better, i crashed my ship the first 3 times at the very first doorway.
@kaeveris Thanks, I liked the assets as well. Looks like the difficulty issue is a common trend so I'll definitely look into it. Thanks for the feedback.
@lyrcaxis I appreciate the help on this. I hope I'm not breaking any rules by providing the WebGL build this late but I finally figured out how to do it. Thanks for the suggestion.
@cottontshirtz Up and down doesn't come into play. We planned on having power ups you had to pick up or doors that open or close but ran out of time. Thanks for the suggestion though.
@cristi-mihai I've uploaded a WebGL build, that may be easier on your system?? (Not sure)
@masterkrepta Thanks for the comment. I'll be sure to check your game out. If I get back to messing with this game I'll definitely make the beginner easier and will make it get progressively harder.
I like the game!!! I miss a tutorial in-game to explain the mechanics but it's a great entry, congratulations!
Few fun stuff I noticed on myself: After a while I got slight motionsickness from turning around and around. :) Also there was a special kind of additional frustration to lose: because the music was so good I wanted to listen it more. My highscore is 41 or 42 so I usually died before the drop which was really cruel. Also what is happening at 40? Everything starts shaking, which is cool, but does it effect the ships position too? It seemed like I couldn't do the same gate twice in a row although I stayed in the same angle, but I'm not sure, I only got there like 3 times.
Overall: really fun game, great music, liked the visuals as well, my favourite so far.
Went back to play some more, and noticed I can change difficulty. I expected the speed to be lower but instead you found better way to make an easy mode, the player can see further, nice. It helped a lot. I couldn't figure out what's the difference between medium and hard tho. Also I found yet an other feature in your game: the light ond the next gate is visible even in hard. At first it wasn't easy but after a run I could predict the next gate solely by the light, it felt great. This way I could beat my highscore: now it's 67. :) I'm still not sure if the shaking does any effect on the ship or not, it feels like it's not just visual disturbance.
@laura-del-pino you're right, I should have had a mini-tutorial showing the controls. Thanks for reviewing my entry.
@halflemonstudios Yeah, spinning around can cause motion sickness, my sister complained of the same. Hope it wasn't too bad. Since "the planetary core is unstable" I thought I'd introduce some earthquakes, the tunnels shake, but since the ship is not connected to the tunnels it doesn't affect the ship, but it does make it harder to go through the gates. The difference between easy, medium and hard is the amount of environment light so you can see further. You're hereby challenged to get to 100 gates! :) Thanks for the review.
Lots of fun!
Good game. Fun to play. Like the graphics and music. Quite difficult at the beginning. Also there may be some hit points to lose instead of sudden death and explosion. Explosion is good but I think it's quite big/masive, filling the whole screen area. Good entry. Congrats...
I've got addicted to the game!!Really nice !
Dang, that was a legitimately fun game! A Small concept in a way, but executed pretty good. Great first submission!
pretty cool game with great mood. Move on!
