Very cool. Have much trouble getting the spherical planet working? Last time I tried I had a nightmare. Good work!

Very cool. Have much trouble getting the spherical planet working? Last time I tried I had a nightmare. Good work!
Fortunately i didn't encountered any difficulties to do that, i simply set every frame the rotation to have the same forward but to use the position for the up, apply a custom gravity force toward the planet center and the physics do the rest ;)
I liked the game and the graphics were awsome but the player isnt intresting and it can include the theme better, overall it is a nice little fun game.
Good work!Love the graphics ;)
Interesting concept, the graphics and animations were superb! The player character was however a bit bland. I liked how you could stack the same objects, felt funny. Congarts on finishing the game.
Controls very smoothly, and it looks great! I could not get past the second level though. I'm not great at time-management
Wow, that's really advanced for a compo game. It took some time to figure out the mechanics but the game is amazing. Really felt like playing astroneer. Only difference is that game took years developing with a team and 2 days for this :P
Restarted the game three times because I thought I ran out of fuel for the crafting stations. It seems like they need one fuel, one wood and one that green thing. But then figured out that means fuel OR the green thing etc.
Miscrafted tons of things. Collecting resources was a pain. Picking up and dropping felt satisfying but one of the most important things is mining I think. It needs some polish but you probably just made it to the deadline :P
Btw I build the rocket, it launched and boom, nothing. Game freeze and I had to quit. Really want to play the rest of the game and please make post-compo version for this. Would like to play it :)

Thanks a bunch everyone !
The character controller is indeed very slippery, didn't had time to get back on it as the rest took so much time, but i am improving it
@ytaha long feedback ! nice ! :D 44h of work to be precise, i barely slept and ate but it was worth it apparently :D I really appreciate the comparison, although Astroneer has much more content than my game ^^
I wondered if it was going to be confusing to let the numbers on the icons and it was, it is indeed a lsit of all accepted items, it should be clearer.
I guess miscrafting is part of the learning curve of the game, not sure how i could improve it
For some reasons i thought that adding a cooldown to the hit on the object that was being hit rather than on the player was a good idea, resulted in a super weird feeling, plus as there is no feedback on what's happening when mining it's even more confusing. I changed it to make the player unable to interact with anything after hitting a rock or else, which works a lot better, i also rebalanced the number of hit points the deposits have, and reduced the hit cooldown, mining is faster and less confusing now
I finished about 10 minutes before the deadline, transition between planets wasn't a thing up until an hour and a half before that, it was a tight schedule at least xD
Uh, i had some issues with the scene managing but i thought i solved the issues, it happens the first time you take the rocket, when you're still in the menu (where there are info bubbles everywhere) ? D:
I'll definitely make a post-compo version, i don't have that much time as i'm working on another game for school meanwhile but i really want to continue making it, i'll probably post the post-compo version on itch
woah!! is very nice game , i liked the concept!!
Lovely take on the theme, super advanced game for a compo! Took a while to figure out, but it was really fun to play.
I totally had issues with time management, but this really works well! The infinite item stacking is pretty funny xD
SUPER DOPE GRAPHICS ++ GOOD JOB! FUN GAME
I must be very dense, but I cannot figure out how to put ingredients in the factories. I've tried dropping them on and around the factory in a multitude of configurations. What am I missing?
@bmacintosh you have to drop the correct ingredients on the top of the factories, there's a yellow text saying "Drop Here", you can see what are the ingredients needed by looking above the factory, there's a bubble with icons, and a text to describe what you need, for example when launching the game the factory needs 2 rocks to produce 1 ingot, just to your left there are some rocks lying around, pick them up and drop them onto the factory (PS: you have a jetpack, just hold space, in case that's what you missed ?) (PPS: there are two drop zones on a factory, one is for the fuel, the other for the ingredients, the highest and largest one is for the ingredients)
Hey, that's a really cool concept! I liked the controls and the mechanics are really well made. The graphics are cute as well!
However, I did get stuck... twice. The first time was trying to understand how to get ingots, since neither of the two crafting machines made them. It took me a very long time to realize I could change the recipe of the machines by using E... The second time I got stuck was when I was about to make the last gas tank for the rocket and then my gas making machine ran out of fuel and I got softlocked, since there was no wood/green rock thing anywhere. I also didn't get the monster... it kinda just sat there doing nothing and the only food available was the single tree.
But still, you did a great job, specially in such a little time. I'd totally play a postmortem version!
A very involved game, I enjoyed the complexity of the recipes vs. the resource gathering. It seems like I softlocked myself twice though, I'm not quite sure what happened though other than the fact that I was unable to create a rocket module despite having the required fuel and materials. Overall though I'm looking forward to seeing a more fleshed out version of this game should you choose to do that :)
Yep, it was the jetpack I missed. Couldn't reach the top of the factory without it. Really cool game, the hard work definitely shows. The art is great and there is obviously a lot of gameplay. I had a lot of trouble finding my way around on the spherical planets and lost the first real planet because I forgot about the monster and couldn't find it. Some beams of light shooting off at the locations of the monster and the buildings would help. I also could not build the Rocket Module - it looked like the factory wanted gas canisters, but it wouldn't accept them. I was only able to build it because I discovered the green rock thing altered the recipe (also a fun idea there).
@henrycgs thanks ! There is an info bubble on the starting planet though, but there is a ton of them, didn't had the time to make a tutorial script to make them appear and disappear when needed unfortunately.

I checked and noticed one of the recipes shows the wrong items indeed, it doesn't use 4 gaz tanks but 6 ingots to make, it's due to an issue of how i create the icons, sorry about that ^^" Yeah there's no respawn of objects, so if you run out of fuel on the planet its game over basically, but this is by design though, but not having a monster is really weird
@mirck782 thanks mate ! i should write it on the page, same issue as above, didn't catch the bug before i had to send the game. I'm still working on it so a post compo version should arrive at some point :P
@bmacintosh Glad you enjoyed :D Beam of lights is actually a very good idea ! I think i'll add that to the game ! ;) And also for the rocket part, well, indeed placing the uranium artefact (it's supposed to be some kind of uranium even though its name is never shown) will update the icons, but it's effect is to give infinite fuel to a factory, the recipe always was 6 ingots i just had an issue in my function to change the icon contents :/
This is really good, graphics are amazing! very fun concept. I like the physicality of it because it gets so much more immersive when you have to physically put the items in the machines instead of boring menus. That being said, The controls are a little awkward like when you try to mine something and the focus keeps changing between everything near the player and also the character feels a bit slippery. It also got a bit tedious putting the items in the machine cause getting on top of them was long and the controls weren't that precise. Then i realise you can stack as many rocks as you want on your head and that made it better. But you got a crazy amount of content for a jam game! Just when i thought i finished it, it turns out it was all just a tutorial level and theres another level. Second level i couldn't finish because even when i fed the monster he kept eating the steaks but the food bar never went up. Anyway great job super cool game :p
@ownedstuff thank you ! I'm still working on the game, controls and interaction were the first thing to get reworked ^^ and technically there's an infinite amount of level since except the first one the planet's props are procedurally generated, plus once you finished the tutorial you don't have to redo it to play the game ;)
It seems i had an issue with inventory management, them monster could eat an item forever if it's inventory had 0 of it, just because a slot for that item was registered, and vegetables are stored before the meat in the invenotry so once you give it some vegetables it basically becomes vegetarian xDD
Was a bit confused at first but managed to work out what to do. Although i forgot about the monster in the end and lost
@ytaha @henrycgs @mirck782 I've created an itch.io page and uploaded the first updated version ! I also created a Trello to track the state of the game. There's not much that changed for now, mainly bugfix and some QoL, but i'll post devlogs and newer version every now and then on itch :
