Cool concept, didn't realize until the final penguin that you were supposed to kill them XD. The camera zooms were very random for me, and the window size was a bit small

I really like the concept here. Building your character from pixels and having to use the same pixels to attack was cool.

I kept hitting what I think was a glitch where the camera would stay stuck zoomed way in sometimes, and I'd have a hard time seeing where I needed to go. Also I reached the end, and killed the huge penguin, but it didn't seem like anything else would happen.

Incredibly creative concept! I loved shooting pixels at those poor little penguins. Is there a way to make the game fullscreen?

changemewtf 2019-10-08 01:00 ♥ 1

I couldn't beat the invulnerable final giant penguin! This was fun, and an adorable take on "start with nothing".

rosebucket 2019-10-08 01:05 ♥ 1

cute

I really like the shooting/life mechanic with the pixels! Very original! The zooming is a little weird though, it started zooming me out so far I couldn't see what was going on, and in so far I couldn't see anything around me.

10/10 sugoi

Loved the concept. Darn penguins man haha.

I like penguins, you monster! Good job!

emmatw 2019-10-08 18:51 ♥ 1

Very nice, I really liked the idea of starting as a pixel, and using pieces of yourself in order to beat your enemies allowed for very interesting gameplay. Cute pixel art!

Nooooo ! Not the penguins ! Btw I love it !

ds-nahogara 2019-10-08 23:10 ♥ 1

We legit start with NOTHING! and slowly begin to shoot our pieces to crazy penguins! i love it, good fun game ❤️

don-fouts 2019-10-09 00:07 ♥ 1

Nice concept, I like how your ammo and health is literally yourself.

lone-wolf 2019-10-09 18:39 ♥ 1

Nice idea Found a few 'bugs' in the HTML version: * You can 'fly' by shooting pixels down to the ground after jumping * You can get infinite pixels by emptying yourself near a healing square, then using the healing square, and collecting yourself again * I beat the penguin and a grave appeared, but nothing else happened? (May not be a bug, just checking)

Nice work though 👍

Nice ludum dare entry. One slight critique: At some tiles the collision detection seems to have problems, as the character can't move forward without going back again or jump.

ljol3 2019-10-09 18:48 ♥ 1

the movement was a bit sluggish, and I dont think i ever saw the complete sprite of the protagonist.

an otherwise fun little action platformer with pleasant penguin sprites and a fun take on the theme

Wow this was FANTASTIC! Love the interpretation of the concept, I was engaged the whole time. Obviously would have appreciated music and sound, and maybe even a health bar on the final penguin, but great work all around! :)

jakemchugh1 2019-10-09 18:53 ♥ 1

Very cool concept

oune 2019-10-09 18:55 ♥ 1

Cool idea! You really start from nothing. I had a good laugh at the animation of the large penguins when they take damage. I would have liked a health bar for the last boss.

Good job overall!

brtek007 2019-10-10 18:50 ♥ 1

Cool concept, but even simple audio would make a game better. Nice penguins btw...

ogre 2019-10-12 05:50 ♥ 1

Good use of theme, picking up and then shooting your own pixels is cool. They all got trapped under the big boss penguin though!

mindtricks 2019-10-13 15:37 ♥ 1

Really cool idea, once you get a checkpoint you can full yourself tho(???) and jumps are pretty punishing :\

philarmon 2019-10-22 20:45 ♥ 1

A fresh concept that matches the theme pretty good. Well done!
