The hit area of the guards was a little unforgiving, and it might have been good to include a visual cue on the objects (like a little wiggle or something) because I wasn't entirely sure what the wallet or phone were by appearance alone, but I liked it! Music was proper heist-y! :musical_note: :spy:

Colliders are way off. I would be in a room near nothing and would get the pop-up of what im assuming was the button i needed to push to steal but it would go away and i couldn't get it to come back up when I wanted it to in the same area.
The game is so cool I don't care that you submitted it to the jam, all that matters is that you had fun, great game
Wouldn't load....? :slight_frown:

This game was amazing! I wish you could have gotten it done in time for the Compo. You would have done great! The Pink Panther style background music was an absolute delight! The only bad thing about this game is the lack of additional levels and ability to play.

I enjoyed this one and found it addicting as it took me a few tries to get everything and get out. I also dig the music, it reminded me a bit of twin peaks :coffee::thumbsup:
I like this, but I would limit the view cones when they cross a wall, it doesn't make much sense for someone to see me through a wall.
Not gonna lie, we made a crazily similar game haha. Love the music, love the little feets up and down for the walking animation :v:
I really liked the music, perfect fit for this game. I think my only complaint is I kept getting stuck on walls. I think some basic pathfinding or just sliding collision around objects would have made this game feel that much better to play. Good work overall though!
Heh, pretty strange to steal a cat. Probably a neighbor stealing multiple things as a cover for the cat theft. Need a follow-up telling the cat's cartoonishly-long escape story.
Pretty alright stuff here. The click-to-move felt a little weird and collision had some issues, ex. walking into the dining room from the kitchen but my head is bumping into the bottom of the wall. Otherwise not much trouble gettin in there and swiping some loot.
Sorry to hear you didn't make compo. Hope it wasn't too much of a disappointment. Maybe it'll work out on the next one.
Cheers. :v:

Haha, nice idea. Execution is a bit poor, but well, it's a jam game! :)
This game was great. I loved the music, sprites and how surprisingly tense it can get when making those tight squeezes between their line of sight. The fact that you could see were their line of sight is was a great call in my opinion too. Awesome work!
really cool idea. the implementation had kinks tho
(1) the robber guy was hard to control because he collided with everything. i dont think his head should collide with the walls, and his feet should not collide with the top of a plant
(2) he moved annoyingly slow but i understand that was for gameplay reasons
(3) the music was really sneaky i loved it
(4) it was really easy to find the items, just getting them all was really hard
(5) the home owners could see you just outside of their range
(6) itd be cool if there were places to hide
(7) the art style made visual communication much easier
overall really cool game just has a few implementation details that could be addressed to make it even more fun

I Couldn't stop playing. This is a pretty addictive, simple and funny game to play. Great job. I love that I move slower as I steal things. GG !
Cool game. I enjoyed playing it. Nice quirky music. The collisions seem to have some bugs and it took me quite a time to realize that I have to right-click (even though it is given in the instructions lol). There should be some outline/visual change to the items that we can steal when we reach near them.

SAME EXACT IDEA AS OUR JAM GAME!
Interesting choices you made for controls, and I love the art! Very impressive for just one person. Well done!

Things I enjoyed: * nice difficulty * the movement speed malus makes getting the last item suprisingly tense * very readable graphics
Some things that I think would make the game more enjoyable: * use path finding on the player character to prevent him from getting stuck on everything (and have him walking around corners with one input etc.) * have some way to indicate which part of the line-of-sight of the pursuers is blocked would be nice to make the route more plannable * collect items with LMB instead of RMB to make it work on mobile
* **more levels please** :wink:
