Hi! Congrats for The game ! very creative and nice art for the theme!
nice work!
First I was like hehe can't touch this, was cheesing them in corner. Then I RIPed in hell :c
The guiding of mobs is a great mechanic. The story at the beginning was captivating. My only critique is that you explain how the game works within the game. Overall, great job and I had a lot of fun playing your game!
Thanks for the feedback. We didn't have much time, we finished the game in less than 48 hours, we were going to put a "how to play" but our time is out.
Nice game, and congrats for the work. I really liked the lore
Great intro story and excellent mood setting soundtrack.
I didn't quite get the gameplay though... I was just kiting around. Sat in a corner for a while because I was safe there. Tried escaping out the gates, but that didn't seem possible. So I never quite figured out why I was trying to get away from the demons. I also felt like the hitboxes for the demons should be smaller. Because of the point of view it felt as if I should be able to sneak behind them, but because the hitbox was their entire sprite I got killed even if it didn't feel like he should be able to touch me.
Did enjoy the whole guiding of the little skeleton dudes though. Great effort.
Good job for the given time.
Cool game. I enjoyed playing it over all. Some walk animations would make the game more polished. Also I suggest you upload it to itch.io its better than google drive, plus you can be featured in the site aswell. There is a ludum dare tag you shuold use :)
It’s cool, of course, but if you get into the corner of the arena, then in the beginning the enemies won’t go through 2 doors at all, only then they will push each other a bit, so you can just stand in the corner and sometimes move if the allies are not standing right. I advise you to think about how it could be fixed, but it was so fun to play, albeit simply
@realitycheck the idea was exactly what you said: hide behind the little skeletons and force them to defend you against the big enemies. Indeed it is possible to "cheese" the demons by hiding besides the gates as @paulsams also noted.
We intended to have the skeletons circle around the player in a sharper, more defined way, but we are still a new team and usually underestimate the effort to implement the things we imagine. Thanks for the feedback, glad you enjoyed!
The hit boxes were a bit harsh. With that projection it would be better if they only covered the bottom half of the sprites as they can hit you when they feel far away. Some kind of score or something to work towards is definitely needed.
Pretty innovative concept with a lot of potential! It was fun in its current state, but by adding more gameplay elements this could become quite amazing. There could be different types of enemies and minions, levels or an open world, there are just so many possibilities. The visuals are also already really solid. In this compo version I would've liked to see a number on the death screen about how long I lasted. Really enjoyed this unique mechanic, good job!
@erkberg, thanks, man. In this time we did not develop to much, but we thinks a lot about this. I trying reconstruct the game in the shape tha I imagined it.
