very interesting game, just delightful!
very nice game i liked the art style
Really nice! Loved how the music was done (won't spoil that for others). Great little point&click puzzle game.
Cool room escape game)
@shelldragon @christos-avramis @alxertion @xakkar Thank you all for playing our game and for the positive feedback!
Nice game. Really enjoyed it.
However, I got stuck after I unlocked all the colors and picked up the frog. From there I couldn't find anything to do... had to give up, so I didn't see the ending which makes me sad. Is there an order in which things need to be done? Or did I just miss something?
Still a great experience though, and I might come back and see if I can figure out the ending. Clever how you did the music.
@realitycheck First of all thank you for playing our game long enough to get stuck!
It looks like I'm not able to hide spoilers in comments here, so I'm trying to be vague AND helpful. :grimacing:
The order of some things is important but we made it impossible to do them in the wrong order or to give away items that you need later. So you should be all good in that regard. :white_check_mark:
After you unlocked all colors you are able to see all items that you need to finish the game. Maybe there is something that you didn't collect or didn't try to combine in the inventory?
I can try to be more specific but really don't want to ruin the fun for others coming here and reading my comment.
Cool game, I tend to like these click puzzle type games an this was a great one. Loved how things expanded out, adding sound and color through interactions. Great work!
I really love the art in this game ! It is very interesting and unique ! A had a good time, thank you very much !
Cool
@landosystems @goupixm @p-r Thank you for playing our game and leaving such positive feedback here!
"Impressive game, Very cool concepts. I left wishing that there is more. Had a lot of fun "
Adventures are a daunting task for a jam. You managed to keep this simple but polished and well developed! I loved the visual cue on interactable objects and the funny hints well separate from the main visuals. Good job!
A lovely puzzle/adventure game! Most of the combinations actually made sense, so I got very far by just thinking logically :) At first I didn't see the textbox because I didn't have fullscreen enabled. I really appreciated the little details, like the musical instruments and the bonus items
> I left wishing that there is more.
@pixamentory Thank you—there is actually more. Some game content cannot be unlocked because of missing items and we had to reduce the scope because of lack of time. Based on the positive reception here, we may consider a patch release though.
@tommyflower Thank you for playing our game and for the positive feedback!
> I didn’t see the textbox
@simon-parzer Yes, we struggled a bit with the placement of that. We didn't want to make it overlay game content but also scaling down the scene even further looked weird. Maybe we come up with a solution for that should we make a patch release. :chart_with_upwards_trend:
Also thank you for valuing the little details—those were the most fun to work at.
We have just released a post ludum dare version at https://ldjam.gitlab.io/45/next-big-thing/ which
- fixes the tint at the end of the game - allows you to make frog pie - allows you to have a fluffy pet
Enjoy! :tada:
@realitycheck Just want to double check: Were you eventually able to finish the game?
I like the classic escape-the-room style. The piano starting/stopping the music was a nice touch.
Absolutely love this game, I love the music, the art, and the overall gameplay. Easy to pickup and had to finish this one. Good job y'all!
Very nicely done! Difficulty was just right. The little notes everywhere make it a more pleasant place to be. The music loops were dope, but did have some syncing issues that I'm sure you're aware of. Kinda wish I didn't give that egg away though.
I've played quite a few clicking puzzle/adventure games and this is my favorite thus far! The dynamically building music was a really nice touch, the art and writing were charming, and the zebra was indeed cuddly
This is overall a fun little point-and-click game.
A well made game, good humor, very enjoyable. Some items pop up and you are unable to interact with them, like fire trucks and cuddly chickens. But I made it out in the end :-)
Thank you all for playing our game and for the nice comments!
@zymphe I hope you saw that there are more instruments than just the piano.
@madbarron I feared that we would run into synchronization issues but wasn't able to reproduce them myself. :grimacing: Also the post ludum dare version has an additional egg for you.
@pfeyffer Yeah, we ran out of time, so unfortunately we couldn't make all objects interactive even though we had some more ideas. :disappointed:
