I've really enjoyed this game! 🤠👍
Fun game! I really like the art and the gameplay felt smooth. I think it would be great if there was some more feedback when you get hit, but that is pretty minor
This was super fun! I loved the background for the level, it looks really well done. Great spin on the theme and mechanics of the cooldowns were quite challenging. Thanks for sharing!
Just incredible. It's a tough game especially with my mouse but its just very satisfying getting the combos. The animations are great and the whole feel of the game keeps me coming back. I throughly approve.
the enemys moving and shooting faster was kind of a downer, but the game was interesting to play. and falling off the edge was unexpected, but in a funny way.
This is super cool! Love your take on the theme!
It was really funny to play. And the art style is awsome
Combos are incredibly satisfing and the overall seems pretty polished and clear.
Theme is fit and the game is enjoyable and well created.
Work in a post-jam version! I'll play it :)
@corgiram Thanks man. I definitely agree with you that more feedback would have been good. IDK how but it slipped out of my mind when I was working on it.
@jcmonkey Glad you liked it. I'm not too sure what you mean by enemies moving and shooting faster though
@memel06 Thanks man, I was actually making this to see how this sort of combat would fit in a larger game, and it seems decent (although some form of breaks from battle are needed sometimes if the game lasts more than 5 minutes). Anyways, thanks for the feedback
@pokenoufl meaning the character couldnt move fast enough to effectively dodge attacks and the monsters moved faster then the player could move. putting the player at sort of a disadvantage for this particular take of the game. like when ever i tried to run to a spot to use it i had a hard time dodging the mobs and bullets long enough to get it.
Very fun. The graphics are beautiful. Great work!
The game is really fun!
Dodging the incoming bullets felt like a challenge as it should be. Usage of the dash felt rewarding as well.
Never got too far into the game to upgrade multiple times, I found myself too busy in dodging the bullets and shooting at the enemies. Upgrades felt decent though!
Loved the theme and artstyle as well <3
@gcttirth Thanks mate, I'm glad you liked it !
Great game, AI just about right, but I didn't really find the time to do the whole upgrading thing. But that's just a small thing
Pretty good balance. Most jam games often aren't this well adjusted. Gameplay and graphics felt solid as well. Good entry!
@nikipedia Yep, that was my biggest issue with the game, but I didn't have time to implement a dedicated shop that would stop combo from dropping
This is the best game I've played so far, I had to give full score on everything. Good job!
The art is quite unique I would say, but it can also be distracting. I thought that it was a bit unfair that the eyeballs can go across the darkness, while the player can't. I was mainly looking at the counter at the top right, not noticing the UI for the combo's at the bottom. It wasn't clear to me what that counter stood for. I also didn't understand how you can buy the upgrades. I pressed E whilest standing on them, but I didn't see something change. Maybe the colour of the upgrade circle can change temporarly when buying an upgrade.
Really fun game! I'm glad I played it twice. In the first run through I got hit quite a bit and couldn't get past 10 life, and thought it was an issue with the game. However, upon playing it a second time and being more diligent in dodging I believe that the 3% faster decrease is actually cumulative and persistent which is a great balancing mechanic to make the game not seem like an endless wave shoot. Artwork was great and I really enjoyed the animations, in particular the melee swipes. There were only two things I didn't like. The first is that the that the tutorial was on the screen to long without the option to skip. The second was that the enemy shooting sound effects were driving me made after playing for about 10 minutes straight. Otherwise, as I said before. Great game for something created in 48 hours!
Thanks for rating our game!
