@nakami no, it's my fault actually. I just completely forgot to add the pack files to the project... I guess that's what happens when you publish it at 4 in the morning!
Now it's fixed, if you want to check it out!
I understand I published mine at 3 am. It's a bit hard to aim on enemies, the only efficient way I found is to jump on there head and then shot. I like the graphics and the self medication mechanic :)
Some art parts looks sloppy, it's bad for presentation, unfortunately. Also, WebGL it's good way to distribute games on jams, many people don't play anything which they can't play in browser (e.g. me). Godot have WebGL support (I don't try it, but it exists) - https://docs.godotengine.org/en/3.1/getting_started/workflow/export/exporting_for_web.html
Interesting movement :D Good ol' rocket jump. Movement is a bit cluncky at times but overall a nice little platformer. Good job!
I have no idea how this actually fits into the theme though? :)
@konh I've added the WebGL version. Give it a try if you want!
If you're talking about the graphical artifacts that appear in the screenshots, those were caused by importing the sprites with the wrong filter, I removed it and they don't appear anymore. If you're talking about the style itself... Well, I've tried my best...
Great game with a great feel! But for some reason incredibly hard to aim...
@fullmontis cool! It's interesting that I don't see graphic issues in this version, but see it in MacOS one.
"Doki doki boOOom" spend few times on it pal great job. Also love the way you fly with a f**** BAZOOKA. Not good with plateformer but seems need to have speed skill to enjoy it a lot. Also great graphics pal keep it up :) !
Cute art style, and the music is great, too! I like the bazooka movement a lot. The fact that you can't hit the enemies while standing on the ground adds a lot of challenge, but it's quite rewarding when you finally grasp the controls. I find the enemies' sound effects a bit loud compared to the music, but otherwise a pretty enjoyable experience.
Cool music and cute characters ! But it's really hard to aim precisely ...
Interesting concept. In first I was a bit confused about health system, but to be honest it has sense in your interpretation. I like the art, it's simple but pleasing to the eye. Although I don't like movement system, it seems to be kinda irresponsible. Anyway, really cool entry. Good job!
I like the art style, but it is somewhat difficult to use the controls.
I LOVE THE ART!!
Short, simple, and just enough challenge to keep it interesting. Plus the movement system was unique, and not super hard to pick up. Really fun entry!
I always try to give a little constructive criticism, so I'll mention that aiming felt a little bit clunky. I found I kinda had to get directly above/below foes to hit them. (If I could've hit the slimes aiming straight I probably wouldn't have had this complaint) I also somehow got stuck in the bottom left of the map once. (had to restart) I didn't think to get a screenshot >_<
This was a great entry; well done!
Graphics and audio are nice, but it took a while to get used to the controls.
Main hero is so cute ^__^
This was a nice game, but a bit too easy since you can always jump arround using the backfire. Notheless, it was fun to play !
The art is cute, I feel like the game could have done without the backfire mechanic though and have just relied on shooting at the ground to jump around.
I think the aiming will be better on mouse on gamepad stick. But overall is good. Good luck!
I liked the controls, flying around with the backfire is really satisfying! I would have liked to be able to use my mouse or gamepad stick to aim though. I felt this made it a bit hard to target the enemy since they we're to small to hit when aiming directly horizontally.
Interesting take on the theme. Loved the idea of the game and cute main character. It was a little bit inconvenient to aim with arrow keys though. I think if the game had a mouse for aim or gamepad support it would have been way more fun to play. Nevertheless, you have made an interesting game. Good job.
This was awesome! If only it had more levels
I can definitely agree that this was pretty fun to play, and that with mouse aim or a controller support I think it would be even more fun. Very cute art style too! Love the new-and-old mix of flash-style vector cartoons and the limited color palette.
Controls are a little bit confusing. But I like the color palette and character. Very nice job, keep it up!
So how is this related lorewise to DDLC? Fan side stories are always creepy and awkward, don't disappoint me ;)
