Mouse movement is inversed, which was awkward. Couldn't figure out any controls other than moving and running.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD43 → Sacrifice

I'll wait for a test version
@mtanton sorry I Should've mentioned, I'll edit the post right away.
@hayart if you were looking for a mac/linux build. I just uploaded the mac build and I'm doing a compile for linux right now.
Nice graphics!!!!
@budark Thanks!
The controls are a little awkward maybe using mouse click to swing the sword instead of z might help a lot, and not been able to move the camera with your sword out is confusing. Also... I didn't see the point of not having your sword out already, since there's no reason to unequip it. It would be nice if the enemies had a feedback to your attacks, like sound or an animation (even healthbar), at first i wasn't sure I was hitting them. The graphics are awesome though! Good Job!
@amigopadilha A quick tip. If possible, delete the save file. it would be called, "Player.egg". if you can find it.
And there is a point for putting the unequip mechanics there. Try this- Delete the save file and try not hitting anything in the first level for about 2 minutes or so- you'll understand
Also there are about 5 levels and the enemies lessen each level, so try to play it till the very end- it's not that long.
Good work with graphics!
Good graphics, Nice job artists!
The graphics and FX of this game were really well done and helped create an atmosphere for the game, in terms of the gameplay itself I liked how it started with some mysterious voice talking to you and encountering some strange visual effects as you move close, however the main gameplay could of been better, you had to slay 30 characters in a square room but it could be better as they don't attack, you just run around and attack until all are dead. However the author states this is a demo and its a good start of something. The player model is particularly impressive. The enemies could be made into something else I think. The sound FX were minimal but effective. The controls were ok but I had to refer to the starting guide to understand how to swing my sword. This could be made more simple - I think a simple right mouse click would suffice for this. But good effort and great graphics!
nice graphics at first map, camera and character control feels inverse for me. I miss some sound effects for the attacks. However i liked the text, each time i played it was a bit different, and that was nice.
Walking just wasn't possible for me in this game. Even if it had worked the controls are so unintuitive the art is amazing though, need to give props for that one. But it's useless to have amazing art without any gameplay tbh. Next time try focussing on gameplay a bit more than the art.
@wayen-k @hakansoyozen Thanks!
@drnoir I can't ask people to play it till the end, but if you do play it till the end, you will understand why the NPCs are not attacking, and the NPC number goes down every room. Try playing it, it's only like 4 levels or so and each next level is smaller than the first one.
@juan-hust-novella I am working on a controller mapper so you can configure the controls as per your specifications.
@darkanice You are unable to walk-? that's strange hhh- Anyways, I am already working on a control mapper, so you can use your custom controls for movement and everything.
I love your main character! But camera is pretty hard to control. Moreover it is difficult to kill enemy - why? I dunno. Maybe you have problems with colliders? I had to chase them and hit maaaaany times to kill them :P
@kirke I worked on a character controller without realizing that I should've gone for root motion for my player's positions. Which result in that behavior. However, I do plan on doing a full character controller again with multiple camera angles that you can switch between, under any pose, Also some proper feedback to your attacks and other animations, I also have minor cutscenes on my ToDo list for this game.
@earnso when I completed the first level I was booted back to the main menu I think? Unless I did that by accident I was just sent to the main menu after killing the first 30.
@drnoir Ouch! I'll take a look into that right away ;-;
I built some sort of continuity, so there's actual narrrative in the game. Provided that the I might have messed up with the build index of a level. I'll take a look into it right away and update that.
Thanks for letting me know, I greatly appreciate that-!
Finished it!
Well done. I like the atmosphere and that you included both a menu/intro and a fighting scene. Great move to show of the model in the main menu by the way, looks cool with that pose so it caught my eye.
@0x01f0 I'm actually updating the game, and there is a bit more to the story ;-; I somehow managed to mess up a 0 with a 1 somewhere (literally).
@earnso I will try and play later again, I'm not sure what happened, still this is a good effort and the graphics are pretty immense tbf! Let me know if it is a bug, I am worried about ones I haven't caught in mine too haaha
@drnoir I absolutely will. I Wanted to Try nanoMaze as well, but I'm on a mac right now. I'll get home and play it over my desktop.
@earnso Oh alright! Let me know when you want me to try it again :) Hehe, we have all been there :)
I would recommend that you specify in your description which assets were created during the jam and which were bought/imported. External assets are obviously fine for a jam entry, but knowing what was created and what was added makes judging more fair. (Especially the graphics category)
Other than that, nice work!
@earnso NanoMaze was from ludumdare 42 but yeah please do, that is more a conventional game than this time which is more a narrative / interactive fiction thing...
Movement controls do not work for me also. If I press arrows, character just turns to that direction but never moves. Basically I could not do anything, because I could not move.
@0x01f0 @drnoir I just patched the windows version, so you guys can give it a try.
Also @mortus I'm a bit confused about that, since it's working for some and not for others. However, thanks for letting me know I will take a look into it.
Somehow I wasn't able to get the character to walk forward, looks like game does not recognize W or up arrow for some reason :/
@jantaaa those are actually the controls I've set up. it's just unity messing up. Lemme attach a screenshot for what to do-

Make sure these are mapped correctly. @mortus @darkanice take note.
The graphics look pretty impressive here. I expected to be able to attack with the mouse button, but that didn't work for me. Having to switch to attacking with Z was very jarring. The part where you're killing the crash test dummies could use some work too, as they don't really do anything.
Like, you could have less of them and have them standing to be executed or something like that, a different approach to cause impact. Just throwing an idea here.
@kloscunha I am working on a control mapper. I simply didn't had time during this jam. Anyways, I know about the combat and I wanted to do it in third person view itself, not a top down view, but the animations weren't adding up. Anyways, I do have a mode where the dummies don't attack you, however- I thought most people will take it as a bug- so I didn't do it, otherwise, the mode is still there, I just have to enable it.
Very nice graphics, impressive for a jam. Your choice for input is not exactly comfortable (at least for qwerty users), I would've kept the over the shoulder camera also for combat (maybe inverting the y axis) with LMB for attacks. Also the collisions were a little weird, I had to hit them multiple times to kill them.
Anyway, good job!
Even with the contols in the image you posted above, I'm not able to move my character. (though he does point int he direction that i press WASD). GREAT sword though
