took a few minutes to get the idea
An observation game! It took a second play through to realize this (I didn't bother with the help the first time so it was my fault) I loved the music and graphics, they fit with the game theme and the way you used the Jam Theme in the game was interesting. I liked the humor as well, the little beginning of day blurbs gave me a chuckle or two. Overall, I reckon the game could be expanded upon with a few new elements and things to sacrifice. Overall, great game!
Very good feel for what it intends. I have issues figuring the right combinations out, otherwise nice!
Cool Idea, Loved the music and feel of the game. Definitely created a nice mood I liked the art! It was fun to interact with. It would have been nice if there was a way to hone in on the signs. I think having a more guided system of feedback would push the game further!
It was kind of confusing but still fun, I liked the mood, music, and graphics. Big fan of the "What does Ludum even mean" joke
I liked the atmosphere a lot. Nice pixel art and great music! Gameplay is not totally clear for me but I suppose I chose right sacrifices in response to what I see. FIRST TRY! xD
Excellent presentation. Just like real religion: none of it makes any sense and you have to supply your own meaning, then defend it against anyone who would disagree. Please make that disagreement part into the RTS blood-soaked sequel.
Nice game! Especially the music which fits well with the art style.
@madjackmcmad Thank you! Haha sequel idea noted ;)
@shiqichuan Many thanks! :D
The art is really incredible, and so is the music. The core game mechanic is very interesting, and I think if I sat down with the game for I little while, I'd get the hang of it. It's just not quite as easy to jump into as I would like. I feel like learning how to play is more of a few "A-HA" moments, as opposed to a slow but constant gaining of knowledge. My suggestion would be to maybe add more small hints that indicate what indicators might mean a certain sacrifice. I think you have a great game, I just don't think that I am the right kind of player for it.
@jackson-makes-games thanks for the feedback! I agree there needs to be some kind of difficulty ramping, and that will be the first thing I work on if I pick it up again. I appreciate your thoughts!
"No time for stained glass in forty-eight hours" :smile:
The game is both frustrating and imitating very well the effect of religion : - "I have no idea what I'm doing, but it's working !" - "Oh no, the gods are not with me today, what have I done ??"
Kind of a nice experience ! Ahd the graphics and music are great to set you in the mood :smiley:
Great idea! I think it is a bit too hard to understand what sacrifice to do, but it might have been intentionnal? I didn't get what the signs were at my first try, and you hardly have any feedback other than your overall score at the end.
But other than that, the art is top notch, the audio is great, the texts are funny... Great game overall!
Congrats!
Love the music, man! The graphics and music together create incredible atmosphere. I really like the idea you created... I am always completely honest though. The gameplay itself is not very compelling, but the other aspects are cool enough to make it fun :)
Love the ui art, its very interesting take on theme not something I've seen in other games and the music and art all add to the mood. Don't really notice any flaws in this game. Fantastic job.
