Mind compiling it into an exe file?
Any Windows/Web player?
Exploration was fun, although, I think that aspect could benefit by zooming the camera out some. I was able to find the sword and find and defeat the giant robed man. I couldn't figure out what to do after that though. I'm also not sure if there was anything I was supposed to be doing about the growing and shrinking darkness. Some polish and sound effects would take this game a long way. Good work, and keep at it!
You should build other versions too, it's easy with Unity. Btw here is the windows version for those who need it: https://www.dropbox.com/s/g00rthg4k090pvr/TheSwordInTheDarkness-Win.zip?dl=0
Also, I share @stephen-coley 's views.
I couldn't get it to build for Windows or Linux, thank you for doing it.
It sounds interesting but not very clear. I can use the sword only while walking ?
I can't find the sword
First I though I am not the one ... could not find the sword. But then I tried giving fate a helping hand and I got it. Unfortunately it seemed I am not the one after all as I was not able to use it properly. Anyhow sad as this looked very promising. Felt a bit like Diablo1, so the mood was right. Looking forward for your next entries. Don't give up.
Ambitious big map :) Which is also a problem, as I got lost during searching for the enemy. I found him and killed him, the darkness retreated but nothing happened then. Is that basically the end?
What you really need to add is some kind of mini map. Once you're out at the edge you have almost no idea where the village is.
I think the text is too dark and too small, also maybe some hints would be a good idea :) The mood is good.
I didn't like the graphics and it is too dark that I can't read.
I was able to find the enemy and kill him, but wasn't able to find the sword.
i actually found the silence, minimal graphics, and claustrophobic camera zoom to be quite effective at creating a mood! i liked how worried and still it felt - the calm before the storm. but i had no idea what i was doing and couldn't find the sword unfortunately
Does this game has only 2 quests to do: find the sword and kill the enemy? I think that's too simple. We need more quests! I didn't understand how darkness affected anything. The map is too big, you easily get lost.
An interesting start to a small rpg game! Needs some extra work to spice it up a bit, sound would help a lot. :) (and perhaps auto-healing when you are within the light)
