Wow, really nice visual style, especially all the pixelated particle systems. Cool concept, funny enough I did a very very simple match 3 platformer for a different theme way back. Yours is much better :P

I would like to try this, but it gives me the following error: "The code execution cannot proceed because OpenAL32.dll was not found."
@Vasco-Freitas Can't believe I forgot that. D: Try now.
OK it worked now, thanks :) Wow, this is really polished for a compo game. Art is great, the "match-3" mechanic is unusual but works well. Puzzles were a pleasure to solve. This is one of the best I've played so far, well done!
Great idea! The game is very well polished.
This was a lot of fun! I loved the simple and bright visuals and the controls were smooth. Puzzle games are always tricky (especially during a game jam!) and this level progression was great. I was playing over my lunch break unfortunately and didn't have time to finish the level with the pink bouncing block but I think I have the technique and I just need to come back to it.
Nicely done! It just needs some atmospheric music!
Pretty impressive for a compo in 48 hours!
This one was great! You have nailed the style and feel of the game. It feels very complete which is really impressive for a compo game. Very nice job!
Not much negative to say about this one at all but there were some minor issues. Just having music for a compo game is always a plus in my book, but it was quite simple and repetitive and got a little annoying after a while. It would probably be a good idea to add an option to turn it off. The game is also quite difficult. I couldn’t get past the turret level which is a shame as it seems like there were a lot of different levels past that one.
This was a very good game and I will give it another go at it later!
@Gurbx Thanks for the feedback! I've just added the mute button.
And actually I admit that the music didn't turn out too good this time.
This was really well done. Great graphics combined with highly polished gameplay with a really interesting mechanic. If I had to complain about something it would be that some of the puzzles are quite tedious to pull off even after you know exactly what to do (diagonal shooting in midair is not fun).
Amazing Metroidvania/puzzle game ! Like this pixel art ! Continue this project ! (And add a support for my gamepad ;) )
a little more better controls and it would be very nice. The theme is well respected, that mix is most unusual :)
Original entry.
Within seconds I knewI *had* to get my hand on a Windows machine to try this (macOS here). I was not disappointed: every bit as awesome as I thought it would be. The art is a delicious mix of throwback to VGA and modern 2D games.
really neat idea but the controls and some rules were unclear if I could time the shoots to stop a moving gem and so on. The artstyle was pretty :hot_pepper:
Awesome puzzles. "Match-3 platformer" was one of the ideas I threw out when I was going to enter this year because my idea would have been deliberately obnoxious and no fun... you found a way to combine those genres and make it really interesting!
V-Sync! Not sure if there's a way to toggle this in whatever engine you're using but it was really disorienting at first - lots of shearing when I moved around.
Gameplay-wise my only complaint is that it's unclear whether gems are solid or not - you can stand on them when they're still, they pass through you when they're not, and if they land where you are, you die! That took me by surprise.
@aaron-nemoyten Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, initially I made gems kill you when they move too, but then decided to remove that to reduce difficulty. Probably should've made them safe on landing too. But, but... the Vsync is enabled by default. Maybe you've disabled it in your driver settings or something? The engine could turn it off automatically only if your PC can't handle 60 FPS, but that's unlikely. This game doesn't use a lot of resources.
