This is a unique, well-done, and quite fun card/farming game once I figured it out. The rules are pretty simple to figure out although I'm still not exactly sure what the spade is for. I also like that the hazards come from the drawing of the cards as is the case with any card game I know. Still, I thought it was neat. Great job!
This is such a cute little game! The gameplay and the graphics are both simple, but in a really good way. However, my fourth playthrough, (I liked it that much) I had a full hand of tools and no seeds in my garden. I was stuck and I didn't see a way to go back to the menu except exit all the way out. Other than that, it was a really fun little game! I would buy it. :)
What a thoughtful game. Thank you.

The art is really nice :) A small suggestion in case you continue to work on this -- maybe add some sort of feedback when the player earns certain amounts of money? I enjoyed playing but I think I might feel more accomplished and motivated if there was more feedback throughout. But I liked it a lot overall, and it feels very different from most other submissions so I'm glad I got to play this :)

Very cool concept. Well done!
I really like the concept but feel I am just searching for a "harvest" tool now I'm stuck with no seeds and lots of tools :(. Again I really like the concept and art though :) If you have a second and would like to check out our game I'd appreciate it :) https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/shipwrecked-on-robot-island
This is neat, I love that you get the choice from seeds to tools. The graphics need a lot of work, but it did not really matter as the game was still fun. Its a bit easy to get stuck - would be nice to have a small walkthrough, I head to reload to read the instructions again. Neat game - And cool genre combination π©βπΎπ
Interesting idea and executed well, and most importantly fun. Well done.
Like the exploration of two different genres and appreciated how accurate the growth cycle of the crops was. Love the art on the cards too! I think music would do well to enforce the "farming mood" and I could see levels of this being build out via different seasons and money goals. Great job!
PS: I did get stuck with a bunch of tools and couldn't get out without exiting, but maybe I just missed how to get out.
I love it, really cute and relaxing, if it was made into a full game I would totally play it. Nice concept and very nice watercolour art. It isn't super easy to play but ah well.

Nice and fun little game you made here ^^
Being no farmer, I have to say I don't know what the spade does... Is it to prepare the ground before planting the seeds? Overall, it looks great, it is fun and simple and works great. It might lack a little bit of music (just a smooth and relaxing track) but overall, it's good. Congrats!

Thanks for all the nice comments and suggestions everyone!
@recursor @Linky439 Yeah the spade is not very obvious sorry, wanted to add small descriptions to cards but ran out of time. It is supposed to be used on an empty plot, before you plant a seed. We're no farmers either, but preparing our ground was our guess too :cucumber:
It's not obvious what many of the tools did. I got stuck for a long time with a hand full of spades, because I didn't know you were supposed to use them on an empty field.
Your graphics are amazing and fit very good into this card game. I enjoyed playing, well done :)

Cute and neat little game. Maybe adding some instructions would help but it's quick to learn how to play in any case.
Made it to 30 coins after a few runs, not sure what the average amount is, but it felt like a good run. You really nailed that satisfaction aspect, it's great to harvest that four-coin plant just a turn before bugs get to it.
I think the only thing I would have wished for was a way to manually discard cards, even at a penalty or something. Then again, not sure if that would water down the strategy part of the game. Either way, I got really into it, so great job!
