I like the Music, but I am not good at these types of games.
I liked the rhythm element to the game but it was a little hard to work out what my goal was as nothing seemed to be changing much. This may be down to the web build though, I tried the game in Firefox and Chrome and it looked different in both. Here's what it looked like in Chrome SneakBeats.png At least in Firefox I could see the scrolling arrows :) I'd love to check out a downloadable build
@gamesplusjames
Those resolution bugs are tricky! I was able to play it fine in Chrome and Microsoft Edge, but it looks like every browser (on every computer) is different. We've uploaded a new version that hopefully fixes resolution problems, but if that doesn't work, I also created a stand-alone Windows build, just because you requested it! Let us know what you think!
am i a sneaky dancing chicken? :chicken: i sure hope so! nice work, ending choices were cool!
oooh this was really cool! it's rare that i see rhythm games made for ludum dare, i really enjoy them. and this is no exception! Music was good and beats were on time. I feel like there could have been a bit more to incorporate the rhythm game portion with the other parts of the game, because it just felt like i was playing ddr. but i really liked the alternate endings!
Great music!
At first I was like "These arrows don't relate at all to the sneaking-around. It'd be much better if up/left meant 'you move up and left, out of the way of some guard or whatever.'"
...and then I found out what the red arrows were actually for, and now I like the game a lot more! :P
Fun little game. I loved the music, and nice idea putting the replay at the end so you can see your spy did while you focused on not getting distracted during play.
I liked this, and I usually hate DDR-style games because I'm so terrible at them. This was much more sedate though, and I really liked the slower pace making you choose which colours to react to rather than just desperately mashing all the buttons.
Didn't realise there were multiple endings at first, wondering if there's supposed to be a way to ask the question about the bracelet that I see pop up, but nothing seems to be working. I definitely appreciate the secret behind the red arrows though.
@been Glad you liked the slower pace! I requested that from the programmer @sheldonzs since I'm terrible at DDR games too. (Meanwhile he used to play DDR until 4 in the morning go figure.)
You can follow a different route and unlock a second ending if you go for only the red arrows. If that doesn't work on your compouter, you can also try the latest version, although when we tested, it was possible to get all three endings in the submission version.
I think the beginning is a little confusing, the tutorial has too much information but I laughed a lot in the end! I love it. photo_2018-05-09_12-15-21.jpg
took a couple of tries to figure out that i just need to pay attention to the blue arrows on the right side and can mostly ignore the left side. cute but i wish the stealth part had some gameplay instead of just being a visual progress bar for the rhythm game. overall it was cute! and you got quite a bit done in a short amount of time!
Wow. Great game. I loved the music and concept. I am not good at these games so I wasn't able to get very far. But congrats on pulling off a very polished work!
