I don't know what you mean.

Hey there. Your Windows builds don't currently work. You need to zip it with the *_Data folder as well as the UnityPlayer.dll. Hopefully you can re-upload and update the link so that others can play!
I'll fix the windows. I also provided a link that has all the build files so windows users could get whatever files they need. I don't have windows so I wasn't sure.
Great artwork, the movement + camera work could be smoothed out a bit. Your first level imo could've been a bit more clear, but then again it's late and I'm tired from playing this LDJAM so maybe I'm a little slow tonight. I say keep working on this and polishing it and release it. My biggest feedback would probably be I dislike your attack buttons. If we're already using wasd, mouse click seems like a proper way to handle attacking personally.
The Mac version works like a charm, good job yall!
Not bad. interesting choice of music. i would say all good music genres. yah at first i thought game genres. but theme was not specific. could be movie genres music genres. good catch there in picking something other then game genres.
maybe country/rap/heavy metal mix would be incompatible. Although maybe you had it i did not check all rooms. did like the run from fire level!
I think that there was some interesting design in this, it just really rubs me the wrong way that the only thing you guys did for this was create the level. There's nothing wrong with using the game kit Unity provides but using copy righted music just doesn't sit right with me and I would be careful with that. Again you guys had some interesting design, just work more on having original work. Good luck!
@Gavin Camlin yeah, we did our own programmer art at first. But we had a lot of issues because we've never used unity before and had to focus on completing something in time.
Nice job getting this game together! I know these are just some default Unity assets, but you still did a good job putting them together. I only tried a couple of levels but the controls seemed pretty good. I'd prioritize a UI in the future so I can tell how many lives I've got. The level where I could sort of break through the wall felt extremely monotonous. I knew I wouldn't die, but I know it was still going to take a chunk of time, not the most exciting level design. Eleanor Rigby was a much better showing of level design.
In the future be brave with your programmer art. Keep pixel counts low and backgrounds.
Good work!
The game was interesting, but the timings were really tight in some stages. If you were going for difficult, you got it! For your first time into unity it was really good. I didn't really notice the theme as something unique or weird about the game though, it was just kinda there and I thought the songs were just whatever you felt fit the level the best (TNT sure did).
TNT and Run or Die were fantastic levels, however, I did not enjoyed the level with the song that says "those lovely people" as I was getting the game over screen for no apparent reason whatsoever.
The controls should be changed to WASD instead of ASD and switch the "go down" mechanic to S-S instead of S+SPACE BAR, and change the attack buttons to something more comfortable to the player, like J and L.
Please be sure to check and rate my game Dance Dance Road Rage Revolutions: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/dance-dance-road-rage-revolutions
Nice game , 5/5 !!! Good luck!!!
I liked the approach of having a warp zone to choose levels. Not bad for coming from no Unity experience.
The controls felt a little loose to me; getting that right is a key part of a good platform experience. To an extent, that's a challenge with Unity in general: the physics engine is really solid, but it can take a lot of work to whip it into something that really feels good.
I'm really happy to see another game that used music genres of the interpretation of the theme!
Well, I can see what you had in mind with this and I think that's an interesting idea. The warp zone approach was cool, although the timings were a bit too tight. I don't really have much to say, I feel like most of this was in a Unity asset, if I recall correctly.
The idea is okay, but it needs a lot of polishing in the game design. I also got the Game Over screen a couple of times for no apparent reason. Keep going and good luck, tho!!
The idea is alright but the game needs to get polished. You should try to fix levels so they feel more intuitive and guide the player where you want him to go. I see that it was your first time using Unity so it is normal to see this kind of mistakes. I encourage you to keep practising and developing new ideas. Keep it up guys!
The idea is fine, but it needs a little more polishing. Anyway, for being your first project, it's very well done.
This game needs polish and it would end up being a good game, I found quite a few bugs and got stuck behind a door, having to restart the game. But it's alright for your first time! Keep up the hard work and you'll craft a good piece
Like the concept and idea behind the game. There was some bugs visually and in hitboxes on specific levels like other people have mention before. The music was in the theme of the jam so that's good but its a bit weird (in a good way) hopefully we get to see more of the game in the future
