@mariobarone thank you for playing it! the upgrades do """work""" (or at least they should) it can take a while to see the affect of the upgrades so it can seem a little slow at first. then quickly you become over powered and the game ends (at 20,000 points)
There are bugs related to upgrades, and not a whole lot of features I'm afraid. For what it's worth, we are re writing it in Godot, using 3d graphics:

For this being our first ludum dare, we really just wanted to "finish" something.
I'm on MAC OSX using Safari.
I get "something went wrong messages" I think it happens when I enter characters using upper case (BOOST does not work, but boost does)
and it also seems I have to spam the Enter key a few times, which makes it impossible for the very quick timing windows.
These bugs make it unplayable, BUT I really like the concept! even with the bugs I think it's really fun, and a great idea. I would love to play it again after the bugs got worked out.
For what it's worth i have a few ad blocker extensions, so idk if that affects things.
I'll come back and vote if the bugs get worked on, I don't want to give it bad votes because I think it has a lot of potential.
@SalamiChild i think that actually spamming it did nothing now that I think about it. Anyways thanks =)

@Memel06 thank you! I did notice that bug. I had planned on fixing it but something came up and I wasn't able to work on it at all today. Maybe I can push in a quick fix tomorrow before the jam ends
how do you actually walk? haha is there like a rhythm to it?
Idk what "But there is a second “game” hidden in plain sight but it is only for block haters evil people." means yet. but I really like this game so far. I keep playing it.
I played it on mac. it seems it would eat jump inputs at the worst times, which made me die :(
I think the controls could be more intuitive.
I like the idea though, it was a fun game! one of the better ones I've played so far.
i made the same mistake, make sure your game is set to "unfinished"

This was awesome! There is a trick to winning. I won't give it a way here though.
5 stars all around. My wife and I were laughing at the messages / dialogue.
"You feel a sense of shame knowing you're the slowest walker in town"
I even feel like it embodied the low key competition when walking with someone and you can't seem to match speeds, and the path is too narrow. So you need to speed up to pass them and an obstacle. Idk it's weird. And you're trying to talk too. haha
This is amazing. I love how quick it poops. wait that sounded weird.
I did get some weird open gl stuff too. like the view resetting. and it took me one game to figure out what the icons were for and stuff. but overall it was very intuitive. I hope this one does well!
