There isn't enoguh petscii love in this world! Awesome shmup, I was acually laughing at te ridiculous powerups. My only criticism is that there isn't a lot of variation in the enemies.

The penultimate power fantasy. Loved the meta approach. Cool sound and petscii is the new shizz. I hoped that at some point my ship would fire so many projectiles it would crash my computer, but it didn't. What a disappointment. Just kidding. It's great. Peace out.
Simple and beautiful game. Personally it is not my favorite style, but it was good to play! Congratulations for the game.
Jogo simples e bonito. Pessoalmente não é meu estilo favorito, mas foi bom jogar! Parabéns pelo jogo. :flag_br:
Nice entry! I would have liked to see a bit more depth, but this is pretty solid as-is.
A few criticisms: - The zombie ship bug definitely detracted from it, but kinda hard to hold a couple bugs against an LD entry, haha! - The difficulty seems to cap out pretty quickly; my guess is this was done for performance reasons (just tossing more bullets and ships on the screen has its limits) but it only took a couple minutes for it to feel like I was just cruising through. - Being able to instantly move your ship anywhere with the mouse felt a bit over-powered - Just losing your buddies instead of having a "death" felt a bit lack-luster
Really dug the art style on this one!
Loving how powerful the weapons were. There were like a zillion missiles!
I did struggle a little bit with spotting the enemy bullets when I had so many of my own on the screen.
The momentum was too slow at first, and I was itching for more enemies with more hp.
Then a whole legion of enemies came outta nowhere, and it was a fun blast to play.
Love the style!
This is a really neat entry, but it definitely falls off after five minutes. I guess that's what happens when you RACE TO THE MAX. Love it, really! The bullets eventually drone out the shooting, and you basically become invincible; what would be nice is some sort of end condition.
Great graphics, great music! Great job!
Needs end of level bosses!
Actually there was a boss fight that I had to cut because I ran out of time! I might do a post-LD version sometime.
Thank you for your kind words, everyone. I've added desktop builds to the itch page.
Love the ASCII art vibe & ridiculous bullet hell powerups. This could definitely be expanded out into a longer game.
This plays great! The presentation is fantastic too, the visuals almost remind me of a lo-fi Osamu Sato... If only there was more content! Would love to play a fully developed version of this.
My eyes have never been treated to such a delicious graphical delight! Beautiful! Fun gameplay and great use of projectiles but could use some unique bosses to spice things up a little bit!
This is so cool! Audiovisual style is rad, gameplay's awesome up to a point. When upgrades stop appearing, by that point the sound of one million bullets per second gets a bit grating and also the game doesn't really go anywhere. I guess that's the end of the game. Also some enemies appear to be randomly invincible? No matter though because they don't really offer much difficulty. One thing that's cool is that because all the bullets are flying out of the player radially it's super obvious where the player is at all times just glancing at where all the bullets converge.
Really like the art and fx. Music gets repetitive very fast though. Gameplay is very solid and I think this can become a very nice game if you spend more time on it. Great job! (sadly couldn't find any secret endings :( )
Very addictive ! Beautiful game :)
Just a couple notes (just my opinions): - Great visual style. I would like it even more if it was a bit "washed-out" (higher brightness) like in the screenshot. The colours would feel "softer" and the feel would be more "retro". - Controls could be slightly less sensitive. - Invulnerable enemies (as unintended as they are) are a great idea. They could just be visually differentiated from "normies". - I like that player can choose the firepower by (not) collecting powerups. - Interesting scoring system. Is the secret ending triggered by a high score (overflow?). (btw. I reached 350M points) - There could be a losing/winning condition (at least I didn't find it)
Looks great and controls well, although difficulty kind of drops off when you have all the gun upgrades.
Could be an awesome game, but it needs all those missing features. I still played it a lot more than the content allowed me to xD
Wow, great game! Presentation is the best I've seen yet. Love the art style. One minor gripe is that the game is way too easy. I stopped playing after 250,000,000 points.
