It looks nice, and the sound design is bloody lovely. It's a shame the controls aren't as responsive, but its pretty fun :D

@Wispeh I like to think that "not-the-best" controls are part of the experience :P
Why no keyboard support :/
Fun arcadey game!
Nice game! I think that you should give the option to the player if he wants to play using the hardcore control scheme or perhaps another one (such as keyboard)
I never even seen a controller like that, love it :) A good tip, is to turn the tutorial less text, graphical tutorials is alot better :)
@sgt3v 1. It would be too easy to play with keyboard. 2. I wanted to make this game touchscreen friendly and even though I just forgot to make an Android port (no iOS, sorry), HTML version is playable on smartphones (tested it and it works better than I expected). But I'll probably add keyboard controls in the future anyway.
@rafael-souza My bad, I was just too lazy to do it the other way :P Fun fact, that's my first LD game with actual tutorial in it, not just in the description on LD page. That's called progress, I guess?
Thank you for all the feedback! :)
Interesting experience with the controls.
Like you said, meant for touch. But still and enjoyable experience using just the mouse. Cool arcade game Music was cool, artstyle was cool. The game window was bit too small but that might just be me (expanding it on the HTML version does nothing). The theme of the game was there but I didnt get what was the point of the power, It just made the lights go out but you could still move the ship and shoot missiles. Overall an Okay game
I was so confused at first - trying to figure out how to shoot. Then I realized I just need to grab hold of the... uh, joystick, and dodge things. I liked the first-person spaceship view, but wish it would go fullscreen rather than the screen staying so tiny.
Why can't I control this game with the keyboard using the web version?
The graphics are nice, the sound is good but the gameplay is tedious and gets frustrating very quickly.
This game is awesome! Super polished for a compo entry - love the transitions between screens, and music + sound effects. Graphics and text are lo-fi, but everything fits together very nicely. I also didn't realize that you needed to grab the joystick to move (until reading the comments here), you may want to make that more clear. The "ejection bonus" was a nice touch - haven't seen anything like that before, and it gives the player an interesting decision to make. I played the HTML5 version because Mac, but I imagine the .exe is even better. Again, very nicely done for 48 hours - I had a blast playing!
@gonutz It was meant to be hard to control, but, like you and the others said, this idea didn't go well. Because of that, I'm gonna add keyboard controls in the Post-Jam version, but this won't happen soon (I'm going on vacation tomorrow).
Thanks for the feedback!
Nice game concept. A radar showing arriving asteroids/ power up would have improved it.
The idea was pretty good, but you could have expanded on it more. Also, using the mouse to control the joystick was fairly difficult.
Good luck with the post-jam version!
Love the style of the game, especially the closing door transition. Touches like that are awesome and really bring a game together for me.
The biggest flaw for me was the seemingly arbitrary boundaries at the edge of the screen. Without an indicator of where they where it is very easy to try to dodge right into them, leaving you unable to escape and oncoming rock. It might be better if the world looped, to avoid these kinds of situations.
The music was good, but the music during gameplay got a little bit repetitive.
Great work overall!
I liked the game :D For more immersion using the joystick and pushing the buttons with the mouse, you could have put the game in a virtual arcade machine :D
Really fun old-style game. Needs a little bit polishing, but its very fun. Great entry for Ludum Dare :)
Really nice game with lots of nice polish touches! Love the menus, multiple music tracks, and especially the eject button. Liked the gameplay, which was just about the right amount of hectic, if a bit difficult. Agree with @terracottafrog about the difficulty of the invisible left/right boundaries. Well done!
