Nice game overall and good concept. However i think the game would strongly benefit from some sounds and animation, just to make the character a little more lively

It's unfortunate that you weren't able to put more time into this game. In its current state it feels pretty broken, I was confused as to what was happening most of the time and quit because of it. The screen just kept jumping randomly.

Cool mechanic, I'd like to see that explained more and taken further. Shame you only had 12 hours :)

Very nice concept! I'm not surprised the art is super, haha, and I loved the mixture of danger/reward! Very polished and I'm sure if there were more time it would be great!

Impressive for 12 hours time of development. Concept on constantly dying is interesting, with every death you get more knowledge about map layout so next time you can navigate faster. Neat graphics, in overall pretty nice game.

Nice little game for 12 hours of development ! The graphics was pretty, it was a liitle bit hard to collect all of the energy sources. It would be better if you added some sounds ! Otherwise, good entry !

Dying to create new sources of energy is a very interesting feature ! I hope you'll continue working on the game :)

Really good game mechanic, and a very good take on the theme!

Graphics were good, but animations would have made it way better. Especially the jumping felt weird without animations.

The design of the level is good. It's hard to find all 5 power sources, but it's possible.

It took me some time to understand where I could see my power level. I first thought it was the numbers in the top right. I also found it strange that I had to recharge my battery after I respawned.

Overall really cool game idea.

First, making a game in 12hrs is no joke especially if you had if this was a solo project so great job on making a "complete" project and submitting it. I was not able to get jump to work so I could not play much of it :(

turkey 2017-08-18 15:43

The game felt really unpolished as jumping didn't even seem to work correctly. For 12 hours though I understand, been there done that and it's not fun or easy, so definitely good work for such little time.

I wasn't able to jump either. don't know why. Too bad because your description made me want to play your game. Hope that you got more time next jam :)

dino-jr 2017-08-18 17:57

for the time you worked in the game I think it's good, but need a lot of finishing

sumgamstudio 2017-08-18 20:05

Difficult controls. I think it's work worng on my machine - don't jump, lags.

gamechoy 2017-08-19 01:42

Jumping still doesn't seem to work, which rendered some sections unplayable unfortunately. It was hard to see the battery on the player's back and understand what was happening. I understand this was done in 12 hours, but it would be great to have a post-jam version to play so you could flesh out your vision.

It's not so fun to play, but it's working as intended, with a concept and a goal, and finally that's the first thing expected with an LD entry. For a 12h work, I think it's even not bad, at least it's playable (and winable!). Hope you'll not be annoyed for the next LD, I know how it can be frustrating not being able to have some time to make all what one could have in mind on start.
