Tried to run your game, but my AV blocked it as a threat (Avast). Then I got a windows pop-up saying windows cannot access the specified device, path or file, you may not have appropriate permissions to access the item :(
There are something to be fixed in this game for example the controls, because I tried to play with wasd and the game didn't work as I expected, but with the arrows work perfect.
By the way I think you missed a debug key, because if I press space bar, the energy lost goes crazy.
Good job!

@quemagalletas Thanks for the feedback everything should be working now.
Great game. The sound is too loud but otherwise creative and simple.

Thank You.
The game is simple and well built around the theme. However I would like to suggest the idea that whenever you spawn a collectible, its height should be in respect to the previously spawned collectible so that the player will always have a chance of collecting. Currently sometimes the consecutive collectibles spawn at the extremes of the screen which are not possible to collect and if that happens twice, the player losses which makes the game more based on luck then skills. Overall it's a decent game :) Good job.

Cool simple game! Nice retro style with good colours. The power can be a challenge to obtain at times though especially on the top and bottom of the screen. Aside from that a lovely game! Well done! :D

@maniacashul @f-dawg I know I was supposed to fix that but I didn't have enough time. :slight_frown:
Music was great. Very simplistic. Controls could use some work since holding left, then down works but holding down, then left doesn't.

@anttiviljami That was a bug I couldn't fix but hopefully it didn't have a large impact on the game. The music was Cyborg Ninja from https://incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/music.html
Nice little time-kill game. Though, I found that the power pickups blended in with the world a tiny bit. I feel like if you spiced it up a bit with maybe some power ups, I could see it being a good mobile game. Overall, nice work!
Nice little game.
In case you plan to keep building up on this concept, or for a future project, I think it would be interesting to improve how your character controller feels. Right now it's a little bit stiff (in my opinion). Maybe adding some inertia and some controls to accelerate and slow down would help.

@tinfoilboy Should I change the colour of the powerups? @pouleyketchoupp You can press the left arrow to slow down.
Huh... A little lackluster, but the game works~ From what I understand, you're just supposed to collect the energy and not let the power lost reach 100% and survive the timer... It gets kinda unfair at times when the energy appears in a place you have no way of reaching in time, but otherwise, there wasn't much else to it. Could use some extra things to spice it up, I'd imagine, but for now, you have a functional game~
A simple and nice game!
This game is pretty simple, but well put together. The pixel art is very crisp and I really like the background. Definitely makes for some good atmosphere. The music is also really good and fits the game well. The gameplay is simple, but competent. I like the idea of being able to slow yourself down manually, but not being able to strafe while doing so makes it pretty much useless. Also, it's quite difficult to actually run out of power because of how easy it is to get the batteries and how short the timer is. Maybe some obstacles which could take away more power would add some much needed tension to the game. Despite these issues, the game doesn't overstay it's welcome and is very competently put together. Good job!

@justinooncx I don't want to work on the game after the jam but if there are any bugs I'll fix it. @thecodefactory Thanks. @superpokeunicorn Some of the obstacles are the power ups spawn at the top or bottom of the screen and you can strafe but very very slowly, I do agree with you I should speed up the strafe.

Not overly complex, but nice music and I really liked the lights going out and back in the background. Really nice and unobtrusive indicator of a progress.

Pretty simple gameplay-wise, but the graphics look nice and the soundtrack is pretty cool. Good entry.

Nice game! Is "Out of Time" a win screen? Out of time feels like I've lost, even though I didn't let my power run out.

@sixteen Out of time was the win screen but I should have made it more clear.

Simple but nice. I included it in my Ludum Dare 39 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqYPjUYhuXo

It was cool to see how skyscrapers react to my loss of energy. The one thing I did not understand is the time limit. Should I get to the exit point as fast as I can?
Thanks for the game!

@jupiter-hadley Thank you! @Coauctor You're supposed to get to the exit point with losing the least amount of power.
