Don't let the graphics or the lack of music* fool you: This is an elegant concept with a goodly ammount of polish when it comes to gameplay. By which I mean a nice and clear tutorial (and actually a tutorial, as in 'interactive') and a relatively gentle ramping of difficulty (aided by the clear indication of which minigame is about to switch 'on' at each stage).

If you could invest some time in music and graphics (or get someone else to do it), maybe you could get some mileage out of a post-compo version.

As an aside: I got 148 on my second try, which already gave me a 'Gold' rank (but I got a bit lucky with the mini-game combinations, I think ).

*) As opposed to SFX, which are basic but work.

I got around 130 points! In my opinion it's confusing when one of the minigames is "paused" - sometimes it has happened mid jump so i feel a little disoriented when the game unpauses. Other than that, it works great :)

- Wow the gameplay is unique very intresting - tutorial is very good - with some background music and graphics your game will be best - i need to download the game as in web only 3/4 path of the game is visible - If you play this game then it is a very good excercie for brain hehe :)

- Like others have said good tutorial. - Gameplay is really good, love how it slowly increases to more frantic speeds. - I got 175

Love it when a tutorial is added and this one is superb. I really liked the gameplay. One issue was the already active screens would indicate that they became active. Got 140 on my first try!

The minimalist artistic design goes well with the game as it compliments the party style game play. The mechanics were easy to get a hold of, due to on screen instructions. Some of the game modes were a bit weird as I did not understand the reasoning behind the concepts.

Maybe a little story explaining the ongoing actions/objectives would help bridge the gap between the mechanics and the player. This would also help increase the players immersion while playing.

The sounds were okay. As for the music, adding even a slight bit of musicality is usually better than having no music because it can drastically change the feel of the game.

Overall well made and hard work you did can be seen in the polishing of the game.

Whew, that gets real tricky once 3-4 of them start popping up at the same time.

I got 'Gold' rank: anthills.PNG

I really enjoyed your game. I think that you did an excellent job of making sure that each game has unique sound effects so that you know when you need to act in each game. I also think that some background music that perhaps got more hectic/sped up as the game went on may have added a lot to the overall feel of the game.

Overall a solid game -- Thanks for making it! :)

Very clever! Seems simple when it's one thing at a time, I like the way you introduce each screen separately before starting to build up the speed. It gets very hard very quick though, I think making it less punishing, having multiple hearts or something so you can take a little damage before having to restart would be good.

Great concept, very original. A bit confusing at first, but eventually you get the hang of it. Very nice tutorial, which is always a plus.

frodewin 2017-05-03 23:09

Awesome game, well done! I first thought that this will just exceed my coordinative abilities from the beginning, but the tutorial was so well done that I actually survived for some time (and then, unavoidingly my coordinative abilities failed me). I love how the different screens have totally different gameplay and how it all adds up to a multitasking game with cute graphics and fitting sound.

brandon-diaz 2017-05-04 02:53

Very cool, the tutorial was really well paced. I enjoyed the frantic pace and overall gameplay, I think it was very well done.

wischutz 2017-05-07 18:41

Well done, mate! Very good entry for the compo. The game dificult progress is well balanced and it haves a good mood.

Cheers!

spelos 2017-05-14 12:53

A great exercise in multitasking. This game demonstrates the limitation of focus and it was actually pretty interesting to see that I even completely black out from some minigames without knowing it.

Great game, rated!

noddingtortoise 2017-05-14 14:02

Great game with a really unique concept! The tutorial is excellent, it gives just the right amount of explanation and time to try out the concepts before it moves on to the next. I also liked the gradual build up to the multi-tasking, which seems very well balanced. With a little bit of polish and work on the graphics, and maybe some background music this could be a really great game! Overall, a very well done game, congrats!

rac-games 2017-05-14 14:48

I really like these kind of multitasking games, although I lost as soon as you had to do three task at a time :D Clever implementation of the theme. Nice balance, you did a great job easying the player into the game by first explaining the minigames one by one and then steadily adding difficulty. On Retry though, maybe you could leave out the explanations, so you don't have to skip through them everytime, and to have a better flow. Getting right back into action, you know ?

Great work, I had a good time playing, good luck and see you next time :-)

silkworm-sweatshop 2017-05-14 16:51

While not the most polished entry in terms of presentation, the concept is excellent. It's amazing how such seemingly easy tasks becomes so difficult when you need to multitask them. I do wish you were allowed a few mistakes before losing though. Anyway, good entry!

marin0104 2017-05-14 17:32

Great game to exercise multitasking skills. Great tutorial and smooth transition from easy to hard mode. Well done! :)

houcine-chelbi 2017-05-14 17:46

Greate concept, I like the simplicity of the art style and the gameplay is really fun! It is a really cool idea and a greate game for only two days!

Well done dude!

ragnta 2017-05-14 21:03

Nice idea, and you have antgame like me :)

wellingtonbecker 2017-05-14 22:18

His game has a very interesting mechanics, good job.

ryte2byte 2017-05-15 18:20

I love this! I'd imagine that an early build of this had the player doing all four games at once, yeah? If you do a post-jam version, you might want to consider throwing that back in as an optional 'Chaos' mode.

Simple and charming with a really neat twist. Great ramp up and tutorial.

A couple little complaints: Once the tutorial is over it is possible to start with the 4th puzzle. On my first play this happened. As I had never seen the ! screen before, I thought I failed at something in the mini-game. Also not sure if a one-miss-fail mechanic is the best idea.

conrad123 2017-05-15 20:49

Nice job. I was really bad. :P I was playing in the web version, so I'm not sure if this is true with the other versions, but it would be nice if the tutorial didn't repeat every time.

buteratosgames 2017-05-16 12:13

I love it, man! 5 stars!!!

alexdonazzan 2017-05-16 13:18

haha really nice game :)

xavier-indie-gamedev 2017-05-16 14:47

Very innovative gameplay, and a lot of fun! And great introduction of gameplay through tutorials! The screen was actually too big for my browser, so definitely consider a fullscreen option in future (I also needed it too haha..) :)

Great job!

holyblackcat 2017-05-16 16:32

Nice job, I really like difficulty curve.

boorik 2017-05-16 17:11

Great job. Nice tutorial and concept

pascalman 2017-05-16 20:16

jungle 2017-05-17 01:33
