Game felt solid and fun! Only played solo, will try the pvp mode at some point. Really liked how fluid the animation felt for controlled character.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD38 → This Moon is Mine

I tried both modes (but playing alone). Versus looks really fun! The graphics are very nice. I tried playing with a gamepad but in the end switched to keyboard as it seemed easier. anyway cool game
Versus is awesome! learning with another player makes for a slow-paced beginning while figuring out the physics then ends in a fury of "last second come backs."
Solid game, can only play solo but great fun! Keyboard was fine for playing on, only I'd maybe think about switching the G and H keys for E and R, feels more intuitive for a WASD game. Other than that I wouldn't change a thing!
Nice work!
I love the painterly art style. I have actually played it with a second player and it was fun knocking each other about. From the description I had thought that there would be more than one flag point and that it would be more a game of chasing around the moon and replacing the flags all over the place. I think just one flag made it a little too static. But overall I still enjoyed it.
I got my ass kicked but I enjoyed the animations and the art.
Why is ground pound and flag planting not the same button. I kept switching up the two
Nice work!
Really really fun game.
Art and animations are awesome. The physic rox !
Sounds are cool, simple and effective and I love the little music.
The only thing that may be missing is something like a health bar ? At first I thought it was more like a super smash bros where you had to eject the other oponent then I died and was a bit frustrated :)
But really good work !
@gozz Yes I know  the solo mode has been added in the last hour and it has no goal and is too difficult. I wanted to do something better but I missed the time. As it is, it's more a demo than a gamemode :slight_frown:
Really nice concept and graphics. I wish the solo mode could stand on it's own more though.
Played with gamepads - it was really fun! Loved the physics and ground bumping, ahaha
Graphics are very cool, animation is smooth.
Wish there was more two player modes.
Fun game, guys!
Nice work, nice music, great graphics - really enjoyed the Tron trails. I couldn't tell but I am impressed if the music was aligned with the beat of the world changing colors. Nice work in even deciding to do versus mode!
Game mechanics are cool. It's simple but very addicting. IMO it has potential to be an interesting console game. Good job :)
Back here and rated :D
Great! Simple and very addictive :D
Awesome style! I love the changing color, the hand-drawn style, the font choice, and the music. It all gels together really well. I wish the color changed to the beat of the music, but it seemed to be just a little off-beat.
The gameplay is simple but fun. My team-mates and I played several rounds. We had a lot of fun, but it seemed like the first player to plant the flag won almost every time.
Overall, very cool!
P.S. We also made a 2-Player Versus game (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/apocalypse-world-cup). You should check it out!
I play that game with my boyfriend and whas so fun! We play a lot and we have a great time! Thanks for that.
Its a little bit hard to put the flag in the planet but is so fun and the graphics are good too.
Alright, I finally was able to play it with a friend! It was pretty fun as expected though the experience is quite short. Mainly because the strategy is always the same: plant the flag, wait on it and punch the opponent as he's coming back from the sky defenseless. Would have been good if the "hole" of the flag moved randomly between each point: players would have to move and the planet would have been completely used. Here, the planet doesn't really serve the gameplay. It's a cool setting for "gravity punches" though, this particuliar feedback is really well done.
I also played some solo waiting to play the multiplayer, and I thought it was pretty fun too! Maybe more than the multi if I'd dare to say it. The reason is that we're moving around the planet this time, throwing punches at huge enemy waves. It's just really satisfying and reminds me of my guilty pleasure with Dynasty Warriors. With a combo system, it could really be a great addition imo!
The graph and music are pretty solid otherwise, and overall it's a pretty cool entry. Your team rocked once again, well done!
Very good game! I loved the graphics and the sound/music and the way the background was timed with the beat. Was really polished with instructions and all, great job! I wonder if you played with the orbital control of a game pad to control the player. I kept finding myself trying to rotate the stick to walk around the moon instead of just pressing left and right. Anyway amazing entry!
@codechomper Yeah I thought about it but for the people who don't have any gamepad with the keyboard it would be difficult :/ maybe an option in the menu for each player to select the control mode
Maybe in a Post-Jam version :D
Cool game! Well done. Graphics and music are great. The gameplay feels solid.
Really good mechanics, there aren't really any obvious flaws. Well done!
