Graphics are great!

The music was sweet. Controls were smooth, good graphics. Gameplay was a bit slow but I can dig it.

Thx guys!

Artsicle: we put a lot of effort there ;) one person working on the sprites and another hand-drawing the portrais starting minutes after the theme was voted!

MrEvilGuy: Our sound designer is a miracle maker heh! We wanted to give the narrator a full voice-over but there was no time left...

Incredibly intense and calm

moonlightbomber 2016-12-13 00:33

I've given high scores for the mere reason of "imprisonment in a room full of regrets".

grilogordo 2016-12-13 17:28

Very intense. :D

Interesting, but not quite interesting enough to make me aim for the second ending after completing it once.

Good balance of different gameplay styles (puzzle, moody "visual novel like" parts, and combat). The aesthetic and writing are both good too. I think the description of LISA on Steam also describes this game quite nicely (at least the ending I got): "The miserable journey of a broken man..."

i was a bit lost at first but then i understood what i was supposed to do! (sorry i'm slow). interesting litte story. The drawings are a nice touch! Gameplay a bit slow indeed, but it's normal for that sort of games i guess!

Very good game, a lot of work when into this. Fun to play. Slow gameplay, but it does work with this. I hope you continue on with it. 5/5

Ooh, someone else who used RPGMaker this LD! :D

Really liked the visual representation of "holes" in one's memory as holes in the world. In fact, the representation of memory as a whole, with certain things being more prominent and peoples' appearances missing, was very well done!

Great job! :)

Parabéns pelo ótimo trabalho de vocês! Adorei a ambientação, a sonorização, os gráficos de ótima qualidade! Controles bem balanceados. Enfim, um grande jogo! Belo trabalho!

Nice and gloomy atmosphere with decent writing, good job! I played until after the first fight and would have probably continued if the character had moved a bit faster, which was a bit of a turn-off.

The problem with RPG Maker games is that they tend to look quite similar to each other so I always have a feeling of deja vu when playing one. I guess it's pretty hard to make a game that looks truly unique with this tool.

Also, did you do all the sprites yourselves? If so, that's very impressive! If not then it's hard to judge the art side of the game because it's impossible to tell which part you added and which was taken from an asset pack.

Anyway it's obvious that you put a lot of effort into the story, and I think that part is what really stands out in this game.

This is an incredible use of the theme and of the RPG format. Music was awesome, and graphics were pretty good - although I think the pencil sketches did not necessarily fit with the rest of the game (although I'm honestly not sure where I stand on this point).

The game ended rather abruptly without really a clear description of what happened - maybe some of the other endings are different, but whichever one I got was rather underwhelming.

Overall a very interesting game.

Very nice mood game. The graphical way to focus on a particular thing or a lack of something (i don't want to spoil) is good and relevant. Music and sounds are well integrated in the story. And the story, illustrated by drawings, is touching. Really good work.

Good graphics, sweet music, good job :)

For a collaborative piece, the story is fantastic. Bonus points for a good moral. Smoking is one of the things which make me not understand why humans are called an inteligent species.

Visuals and audio were very good, although I missed diagonal movement (but that's not a big issue). The memory mechanic is quite fun and inspiring.

I like the story, with memories

dollarone 2017-01-02 22:06

Awesomely moody game with a heavy theme. I liked the use of a the traditional JRPG overworld gameplay with the memory holes. The game kept going on when I thought I'd completed it!

Very nice graphics. I assumed the tiles were the "basic assets" you mentioned, if not that is super impressive. Really enjoyed the mix of JRPG tiles and handdrawn art.

I'm pretty sure I got the sad ending. I might be convinced to try again, but it feels like it's a bit too much to replay.

Overall great effort!

Amazing atmosphere, and very clever game ! Well done !
