Hi, nice game and congratulations ! Simple mechanics that still offered a decent amount of challenge. We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #36. We made the same thing at the previous jam.
Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description.
Fun little game with nice use of the theme. I really enjoyer dialing the phone!! The music in the menu was a bit "strong" for me, but otherwise great game.
Love the graphics style too.

Oh nice game. I had some flashbacks about this pile of floppy discs you needed for a game. Nice interpretation of the topic.
Functionally different and unique to most other LD36 entries. I think that using the dial phone created the right balance of fun and frustration, and I was curious to look around it.
The description and in-game dialogue implied that there would be walkmans in the game, but I was unable to get there, it may have been my ineptitude, but I thought I checked every option.

damn it these old techs, they are so frustrating to use and why the instruction was not correct (flip table)...haha I love your game it was funny and the atmosphere was great. It did cause me annoyance i guess that was the point of the game :p Love the ending, more table flip. Well done! The graphics was great and the puzzles was interesting. There were issues with the 'continue' feature though. For example when I was on the phone, if i exit and continue, the phone state was wrong I think.
Nice experience, albeit a little buggy with the telephone. Is the game music available on audio cassette? :D

Is there anything else beyond dialing and listening to all options? I wasn't able to get anywhere, and got quite nervous waiting for numbers to dial after a while...

I do have a free afternoon. Menu music was indeed way too loud compared to the rest of the game. I had a good time as long as it lasted, but minor gripe: I'm almost certain that this kind of attendant system doesn't work with rotary phones.

I Liked the game. But the old phone part was just too much boring and slow, and I think this is the purpose of the game, to show how was the technology back then, and we were all used to it. Nice man!

thank you all for your comments!
@blueLama and @kuro to advance after the phone part you need to hand up the receiver after you learn the solution to your installation problem. I have added a hint in the game for this part because it probably wasn't clear.
I have also turned down the volume of main song.
@sorceress the game soundtrack is available on a cassette in-game. but I still have an old casette recorder I could record it for real! ;)
@kyyninen yes you are certainly right, it wouldn't work! but then there would be no game :D

sorry @BlueLlama I misspelled your name in my previous comment:

Nice game ! I really liked the interactions with every screen. Good balance between frustration and humor :)
It's an interesting sequence of mini-games =) Good execution of the theme, I remember all these technologies, and it made me smile to do all this stuff again. Good job! )

Great interpretation of the theme. I cant really say that the game was fun (that probably wasnt your goal) but it certainly lets me appreciate the convenience provided by todays tech. It was a really nice gimmick to include the soundtrack and it would have been really awesome if the game you try to play is actually a low-fi version of the game itself. or maybe this would have been a bad idea but I found the current ending to be quite anticlimatic. Still a really nice game

I really can't say too much about this game :D Not because is bad, but because i thought it will be about pc and floppy disk but there was pretty funny plot twist so, enjoy it yourself!
summary:
My english is not that great but still. I enjoyed this game. But i did not played it for too long because i did not have free afternoon :D

Love the music! I like how this is different from a lot of the other games that take the retro-computing approach to the theme, by showing how things were often a pain in the butt back in the day rather than being a pure nostalgia trip.
More an experience than a game, but I think you made the good choice. Showing how frustratring were all these "new" technologies back then with a simple screen of each device and realistic interactions.
Really not that simple to do cause of all the graphics and sounds that this type of project implies! But you manage it really well, and the music adds even more to the frustration. A pretty nice take on the theme, well done!

This is fun little adventure game. The story is great, and the music fits the game very well, but the puzzles is a bit too easy. Overall a great game. Well done.
Did people really call those support lines? Somehow I never did, and I don't remember anybody calling them either, but maybe that was the perk of living in area getting them games with slight delay (walkthroughs were already in magazines before you could get the game).

The ending is pretty realistic xD.

Nice use of theme, was hoping for a retro game at the end (unless I failed?) But I guess that would've been pushing it for time ;P
Good graphics too, nice and consistent (:
