Interesting ! I love the art work! It all worked well together.
Cool game, love the art style and music. I got as far as getting the flint, but I couldn't find anything else to do. I assume I was supposed to decipher the language of the hermit in the cave? But after my first attempt didn't come up with anything readable, I gave up.
the art and colors were really cool! The music was kind of bland and i muted it after a while. The quests were clear enough to understand what they wanted but i had trouble finding some of the objects like the tin and copper ore which i passed a half dozen times before eventually finding. i ended up getting the ruby and flint but got stuck after that. i wasnt sure what to do next there was a hint with the alphabet and i assume the etched stone by the tree is a translation but im sorry i dont have the patience to sit down and decode that :) good game though!
Excellent art, the game accomplishes what it thrives to be, the only thing I had trouble with was the last puzzle. I have no idea what the jvxyz thing means. Though i like how there is no need to drag your items or merge them.
I love it. The art/music/dialogue sucked me into the world you created. Although I got stuck after I received the ruby and the flint. I had no idea what to do after that. But thank you for the great entry!
This game looks great. It isnt too complicated and is a cool idea that is very appealing. I enjoyed the uniqueness of this game and how creative it was. Overall it was a very great game. 10/10 would play again.
Very relaxing and nice pixel art. Good adventure game, try it if that is your cup of tea.
Amazing art style and work.
I would improve the arrow positions as it seems inconsistent when moving from one area to another. This would improve for new players learning where they are oriented.
I got stuck on the arrow part way too long.. thought I had to use the flint for the arrowhead and never even considered grinding the rock into shape... damn
Very relaxing game :)
Very detailed art and style, which also meant it needed some more affordance. I had trouble with the arrows (where to go) and things to find. But very nice and relaxing otherwise, until you get to the decoding puzzles and it's not relaxing anymore. :P Great entry!
Not my type of game, but it's definitely well made. The background music fits well with the overall mood that the art provides. You crafted a really interesting world. Didn't play past the part where you make bronze, but it seems like the kind of game where the devs actually stopped to think the game design through.
Great game! Go stuck after getting the ruby, i don't know what to do. The inventory may have been better with the classical drag and drop to use. I may retry later because it was nice to play.
Hi, nice game and congratulations ! Simple mechanics that still offered a decent amount of challenge. We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #36. We made the same thing at the previous jam.
Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description. (you can already find several games from the jam there)
I love the art, background music it seems relaxing to play.
Unfortunately I cannot play your 64 bit executable on my 32 bit system. But I would love to, your graphics look great!
Really nice entry. Digging the art and sound. This was definitely the entry I spent the most time with, decoding it. Having said that, I think there may be some mistakes in the hermit's speech, unless it was intentional. Spoilers following!
According to my notes, her speech says AR RIGHT HS RB BLUS POT. Which I think was meant to say FAR RIGHT HERB PLUS POT. So there's a missing F, the S should be an E (missing a dot), and the B (1 long below) should have been a P (a dash).
Two other notes - was there any use for the tinder? And I and E were ambiguous. They had a dot above and below on the rock, but her speech gave no indication that could tell these apart.
Overall a fun game to tease apart though!
Ah, I see now that it could also be BLUE not PLUS, in which case again the E is missing a dot, making it an S.
This is a great game - the art is really nice and it's fun to explore the village and meet the different people. Nice work!
