Hi, nice game and congratulations ! hahahaha ! the theory of the alines and the pyramid XD nice idea ! funny ! :D Simple mechanics that still offered a decent amount of challenge. We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #36. We made the same thing at the previous jam.

Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description.

Nice game! The mechanisms were cool, didn't manage to get the age influence at first try, but it was really fun to play :)

Pretty cool. I gave it a couple of attempts … It's good for Ludum Dare to make the 'rare' events (like the fireballs, sieges, etc) happen quite often so that people who only spend a short time playing know that they are there. However, I think these should be less frequent on subsequent runs, they seem too destructive too often.

I also wish there was a bit more I could do. Some resource management, options to speak to my advisors / architects / workers, etc … Although I know that would be quite complex :)

And the graphics were pretty, (although, a little pet peeve of mine – pixel-art games where the sprites don't line up with the pixels of other sprites !!!)

Good job!

I really enjoyed the game, very interesting idea and it's working pretty well. As it has already been said, some of the events occur maybe a little too often but that's alright. Nice entry :)

This game was really, really fun. Great sense of humor, great mechanics, and great visuals. Awesome job all around! My only regret is that I ended up with a plaid pyramid.

I found that the score you make is more about RNG than your decisions but i might be wrong on that one I'm not sure.
Also end turn button seemed unnecessary.

Graphics are really good and the game is overall fun.

Congratulations and thank you!

Awesome! Got 16290 on my first try- 1800 on my second. The atmosphere is fantastic- love the soundtrack and the sound effects!

I love your art style. Look likes some 90s games

insality 2016-09-05 17:29

ohshi~
the first game what i rly say that))

Art and music and game feels are perfect! Gameplay is perfectly polished for ludum dare

Really got fun from the game! But there is some bad things: the font is not readable, my eyes is tired read red text :(

foodzilla 2016-09-06 01:37

Fun idea! Need some readability tweaks but otherwise.

this game is awesome! The art is beautiful and the mechanics are fun. The only think I believe I didn't get well is the score bar and wether is possible to achieve a high score.
Nice job, impressive work for just 72hs

tmpxyz 2016-09-07 05:55

That's interesting game, the animation and dialogs are fun to watch.

Wow, I think I like this game.

Although I didn't really know how the selections affect the score (I should have paid more attention), it was fun to see what's coming. When the build process progress bar was visible, I wasn't really sure if the game should advance just by waiting. At first, I feared that the green End button would end the whole building but apparently it ended the turn instead.

The music and the sound effects are really fitting. The artwork is polished with all the particle effects and characters. The flowing river and stuff like the elephants made the game more lively. I guess I didn't manage to avoid the war completely, as some of my workers were killed. :( And at some point I threw all of my workers somewhere else but the game seemed to progress anyhow.

I got 2920 on the first attempt. I didn't really follow any rule and chose just some options. On the second attempt I decided to avoid all kinds of additional buildings even though I had age a lot at times. No tributes or anything. Lost some workers to fireballs a couple of times, though. :( The alien guy also wanted to explain the wheel to us twice in the same game.. Is this reinventing the wheel? On the second round I only got 1641. Perhaps building some additional buildings is a good thing. Or some of the other options, I don't know. Gotta try this later again.
