Really hard! :D

whilefun 2016-04-18 12:20

This seemed impossibly hard for me. The mouse dragging was really slow, and I could only manage to get an elbow in the air before being hilariously smushed by the moving shape wall. Funny take on the theme :)

smilingcat 2016-04-18 13:19

I was able to succeed at most of the shapes at least once, except for the LD35 shape. Very pretty environment for a compo game. Well done.

If I were to take this further, one of the first things I would do is make the ragdoll's body parts break away and fly off when they are hit.

No Linux version, can't judge.

Great job on an implementation of hole in the wall.

mordokay 2016-04-18 20:22

Very hard game just because the ragdoll doesn't lift that much from the ground. Still when you get past the obstacle its a great feeling of accomplishment :)

hbocao 2016-04-19 02:55

We had the same idea lol
Pretty hard, indeed! The controls feels weird.

mementogames 2016-04-19 03:00

Ok, now commenting with the right account (I'm the hbocao).
Good luck to us! :)

@MementoGames: Japanese Game shows are soo much fun :DDD

edocentrique 2016-04-19 23:34

That must have been very hard to do in such a short time, and it's also very hard for me to beat this game !

gurkenlabs 2016-04-19 23:45

Is this game even beatable? :D
Very challenging, I liked it!

jefepapaya 2016-04-19 23:51

I think maybe less gravity and faster shaping response would be more balanced for the 10 seconds you give the player.

kostasvs 2016-04-19 23:55

Other than the really numb controls (i stuck to the compo version), seems like a fun idea, especially if you evolved it into a party game with gamepads. Keep it up!

zaywolfe 2016-04-20 00:06

Really fun but I don't see the shapeshifting aspect

ken-ichi 2016-04-20 01:33

@zaywolfe thx :)
I try to use the shapeshift theme in another way: posing the ragdoll "shaping" it to pass through the wall.

I'll add an Troll mode where the wall are randomly assumes another shape after launch ;p

ployer 2016-04-20 02:38

wow that was hard. think i got the square only lol. great take on hole in the wall.

jk5000 2016-04-20 10:20

The idea is really great, but it too difficult to control the ragdoll.

blob 2016-04-20 10:22

Successfully got zero points!

dsmeathers 2016-04-21 12:00

Good take on the theme, shame about the controls. I'm guessing you didn't make that ragdoll model in the 48 hours!

ken-ichi 2016-04-22 00:57

@dsmeathers: thx :) the controls is weird because I used the standard rigidbodydragger script from unity's standart assets (beucause I'm not really a programmer).
And yes... The 3d models (environment + character) was made in 48 hrs. The character model is a simple collection of deformed spheres and cylinders linked to the bones :)

pixelaborate 2016-04-23 13:05

Cute idea, but the only one I could do was the square and it was by pure luck :p good job!

louspirit 2016-04-23 13:38

Hi, good work for the character animation. It is a beautiful and unusual game.

pietro-ferrantelli 2016-04-23 16:31

Solid 48 hours solo work, it looks like a big amount of work so I'm pretty impressed. I really enjoyed playing it, it's challenging but in a good way, I think. The setting is pretty funny and it features a great take of theme in a very unique and unexepcted way.

davor10105 2016-04-27 12:47

Great fun, love it!

imperialunit 2016-04-27 13:03

I liked the concept and the nice variety of shapes included. I struggled fruitlessly as I tried to get the poor ragdoll into the '3'. The controls were a bit difficult, especially when I was trying to curl the ragdoll into a ball. With a bit of a control touch up, I could see this being a pretty fun couch/party game to play with a few mates.
