this seems like a nice web project but i don't really see the connection to the theme.

kevinworkman 2015-08-25 22:24

@iossif: Thanks. I purposely left that up to the "player" to decide for themselves. I'm not making a political statement or anything, but I will say that walking through Arlington in real life leaves me with a feeling of... complicity... that I can't quite explain in words, and this "game" was my attempt at capturing that emotion.

oxyoxspring 2015-08-25 22:24

Interesting... I don't really see the connection to the theme - but I do love data visualizations!

lukbebalduke 2015-08-25 22:24

Oh, this was creepy! Interesting work, but just like iossif I did not see a connection to the theme.

tablesmithgamesgmial-com 2015-08-25 22:24

I love the idea it seems very usefull for cemeteries. However I fail to see the connection to theme, could be just me though. Keep on doing great things ;D

crucknuk 2015-08-25 22:28

Does not really look like a game at all! (like you said...) Put aside, it is a nice project

defacid 2015-08-26 21:08

This is awesome. Doesn't fit the theme at ALL, but overall this is such a good idea... very depressing, yet sobering to life and it's brevity.

quij 2015-08-26 21:31

This is great. Chilling and pointed interpretation of the theme.

I like it as a proof of concept, and I think there's lots to explore here. I hope you continue with this project.

bouletmarc 2015-08-26 21:56

good web google overview, but it's not very reffering to the jam, the theme or any other else

kevinworkman 2015-08-26 22:11

Thanks Quij! I think you're the first person to really understand what I was going for with the theme!

(That's my fault, maybe I should have made it more obvious, but I wanted to leave it up to the "player" to decide for themselves.)

twoscoopgames 2015-08-26 23:27

Really interesting idea, it made me feel creepy.

gigaraptor 2015-08-26 23:45

This is really powerful. I can't say I enjoy it, but it really nailed the theme.

pantoufle 2015-08-27 12:28

An interesting and original idea.
I'm not so much into data visualization but I think bringing this to the jam is amazing and surprising.
5* for innovation :-)
I wonder if it would be possible to add a background music or some other stuff to spice things up.

mintarcade 2015-08-27 21:23

King a interesting experience.
P.S. If you go North and then follow the road East you will see smile.

merrak 2015-08-28 04:21

Leaving the theme up to the "player" was the right thing to do.

There's a lot to take from this if you give yourself some time to think it over. I'd expect anyone who did so would likely find something different than the next person.

ndebruyn 2015-08-28 06:19

Interesting

bodsey 2015-09-01 17:24

It's interesting. It's a good starting point, but as it's a Game Jam, I wish this was just a bit more game-ish and not just a dataviz app...

mubox 2015-09-04 20:43

It's not a game. But that idea of using a data visualization could be used for a game.
