Awesome Super meat boy style game! Really loved it! Ill keep playing.

naufr4g0 2014-12-09 16:15

The game is virtually very fun, but I think the player is a bit too hard to control, he moves too fast!

leondryaso 2014-12-09 16:24

It's really good. The difficulty is just right, I like the floaty movement that makes the platforming a bit harder. The music was also great.

YEah after 92 deaths i passed the game. Nice work, but i think controlling is too sensetive.

spartanicecream 2014-12-09 20:13

Pretty sweet.

virtuallycompetent 2014-12-09 20:48

With tighter player movement, this could be fun! As is, it's kind of frustrating. With such a loose grip on what the character does, it's hard for me to feel like I could (or would want to) practice enough to gain a lot of skill competency in the game.

I want to echo the loose controls comments. I got frustrated trying to jump up one of the tubes with blades on both sides. I would tap the button and shoot all the way over to the other side and die. I felt I mostly died because of the loose controls.

Also, your hitboxes for obstacles might be a tad too large. A pit can kill you before you fall in it. A set of blades on the platform above you can kill you from below them.

I'm not trying to sound overly critical. I actually thought this game was great. I could have seen myself finishing if not for those two things. Graphic style was very cool and the music fit the feel of the game perfectly. Good job!

74 Deaths but I beat it! Nice levels! but a bit hard to control... But it makes it twitchy-hard! Good job!

hwinwuzhere 2014-12-11 21:14

Really cool. I like the various gameplay elements. They remind me of Super Meatboy and Portal 2 with the propulsion and repulsion gels. Also the beams etc. Very cool :) Controls could use a bit work I guess.

ragtagradical 2014-12-11 21:14

Hmm the game is freezing for me when I click Start with the mouse.

kacperski1 2014-12-11 22:22

@ragtagradical
I'm really sorry to hear that! Are you sure you've unpacked all files properly? If yes, could you post your PC specs, please?

intersectiongames 2014-12-12 02:13

I agree that this is a good run at a Super Meat Boy style game but the difficulty curve could be a bit smoother. The character is too floaty even if he is supposed to be hard to control. It was very fun to play for the first first runs though!

pfitzner 2014-12-12 20:58

I liked it; the controls were very loose though (some more control over jumping would be wonderful.)

Also, I sometimes clipped into platforms and couldn't move; I could jump out of them, though, so there's that.

kacperski1 2014-12-13 00:04

@pfitzner
Oh, we thought we've fully fixed it, but I guess that it still happens time to time. Will look into it :)

madmaw 2014-12-13 12:37

My reactions are so bad for these kinds of game, solid implementation though

skulioskarsson 2014-12-13 13:18

Fun game :D

freaknarf 2014-12-15 10:10

Hey cool!SMB style! Physics inertia makes it a bit hard... I stoped at 45 death :)great!

geckojsc 2014-12-15 16:00

Pretty neat game with a nice variety of mechanics (the fields that push up/down felt particularly well-tuned as you could fly through them without losing control or falling). I like the neon pixel style. Nice to see a home-made engine too :)

I found the corners of the bouncy tiles to be a little unresponsive at times, which would cause me to fall when I was expecting to jump.

tifu 2014-12-15 17:40

Died 40 times but I made it! Very difficult to control, so I gave up on any hope of getting all the score dots after about level three :P

holyblackcat 2014-12-19 17:02

Ok, I finished it! 106 deaths. :D
Nice and hard.

kain-oborin 2014-12-20 02:44

I really like this kind of game. It's a bit slidey for me. But if I really sat down and played it I'm sure I could get into the proper stance. I hope to see you make a longer post compo version of this.

empyrealhell 2014-12-20 03:08

The controls for that were inexcusably bad. If your controls are that twitchy, then your need to design your game around that, and you didn't do that. Platforms were incredibly small, and once you land on them, even a tap of either direction would send you flying off, so there really was no way to engage with the game other than luck at a lot of points. It also seemed like the jump command was unresponsive around edges, and a jump pressed right at the edge would almost always result in a fall to your death. It seems like it might be a decent, if simple, platformer, but either the levels need to be redesigned around the floaty controls, or the controls need to be tightened up.

phocker 2014-12-26 17:25

tighten those controls and you have an awesome game there

maxmetallica 2014-12-28 02:45

nice games
