Hahaha, it's fun! Really nice idea :-)
I miss some music or sound effects. Also, you could add some score board, so the assassin or the sniper know how many times they have won.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD28 → El Presidente

This is a pretty fun concept, strange there aren't more comments. Go rate a couple of games!
Very good idea! I love political/innovative games. Pity you didn't manage a 1 pl mode. Beides of that good execution - haha, get it get it!!??
Love the concept of the sniper game, I like these shooter games, made my first game somewhat of a shooter with our tool.
Really thanks for the comments, you gave some good ideas, and the game will be developed further.
Too bad we had such few time and so many issues with svn.
Good luck :D
Ninja Convention was awesome. I love the polaroid mechanic in this it works really really well. A 1 player mode would be a great addition as my wife is a much better gamer than me and a bad winner and rubbed it in everytime she beat me.
This is a great idea. Nice Artwork. smooth gameplay. I enjoyed it a lot. But for a better feeling you should have a soundtrack or some sound fx's...
Overall I liked it. Sound Effects would have enhanced the mood and drawn you more in. I do hope you continue to work on this post compo as you really have something cool here. I'd also add the ability to play it solo.
Thanks for all the nice comments folks!
1. For people who missed it, the score is on opposite sides of the window frame from each other. If I keep development going I'll make a custom graphic with the writing scratched in with lines e.g. IIII kills
2. I was going to make a 1 player mode but I much prefer games which encourage social interaction in the same environment. Also, there's that little thing of programming an AI...
3. There wasn't a sound designer handy unfortunately, but getting audio for the game is an absolute priority since it adds so much to the game.
4. There was a plan to add a speech that the president reads out giving the assassin a limited time to eliminate him. This would be displayed as a graphic similar to a karaoke screen, slowly passing through the words.
5. One thing I noticed from testing with my brother was that he spammed the mouse to try and find me in the crowd. Though the technique of his failed miserably, I'll add making a mouse click fire your bullet regardless of if you're on target. The crowd would run off, leaving the assassin exposed but since sniper's bullet has been fired, nothing to stop the assassin from killing the president. This would give a certain gratification to the assassin, as they could run around all they liked and taunt the sniper before killing the president.
6. May add in blood but might just make body limbs pop apart similar to lego instead to keep the game out of the mature section.
Great game! I love the concept. Since you didn't list it within your inspirations, you definitely have to check out "Spy Party"
I love that you generate characters!
PLayed with my little brother...
He loved it. I agree.
Your game is good !
Good idea, but I didn't like that is 2-player. I think it would be better if you first played as an assassin and then as a sniper.
I like this. The sniper mechanic was cool and the concept was fun! Keep it up!
The concept was really cool. I think it could be more fun if you made 1 player mode for this game. Not really need to work on the AI, just let the crowd move randomly and you have to kill anyone who reach near the resident.
Wow, interesting idea! I have to pretend that I'm splited personality though -- I didn't have friend to play with but I really like the idea behind this :-)
