I had problems to find the keys for controlling the force of the pushers/suckers on my (german) keyboard (it's the two keys next to backspace and they don't have a "+" or "-" on them. The idea is not too innovative, but the game seems to be well laid out. Sound and Particles (BLOOOD!) would raise the fun factor enormously. I'll definitely try to master all the levels.
This one was amazing to me! Technically very impressive, and a really unique and interesting game. It's frigging impossible for me, maybe I just don't get it... I'd have had more fun if I had a lot more money available on each level, so I could experiment with the suckers more.
I'm very impressed and liked it a lot, even though it was too hard for my meager brain cells.
I liked this alot. Really difficult on the later levels.
this is really neat. hard. flying sheep amidst swirling colors, it's a software equivelent of lsd. I think the -/+ should have moved a bit faster.
I really like your use of color in gameplay. It's really one of the most interesting games in this competition.
Nice idea, but you really should not say Ha! when someone lose. This way you won't get many fans, believe me. You can ofcouse get them in other ways...
i guess more examples of how to get the sheep to do what you want, very unique and good though
Pretty cool... too hard for me, definitely. It was a frustrating game, and I was disappointed that I never got to use any of the more interesting building options (and that I never got to really fight back against those green freaks). Never could figure out level 3!
Fun, i played several rounds and got into it. couldn't pass the cactus level. felt like fighting against a simple pathfinding algorithm. great little logic puzzles, but overall it was a little tough for me.
Great concept and wonderfull execution... The only problem is the sometimes obstrusive control interface...
Didn't work on either of my two Win2k machines. One had a Voodoo 5500, the other a Matrox G450.
Fantastic levels. Big and varied. The enemies are cool looking, too.
A bit too hard, and there should be something to do while waiting for you credits to increase..
Maybe I'm missing something, but I couldn't build anything where the road was in front of the hut so they could always get to it that way.
I like it. I can't get past level 3, they keep killing me with about 10 seconds to go.
The player should get more possibilities to act, perhaps self-moving "anti-monsters" that are really expensive but powerful and eat the monsters ;-)
It was like a very simple RTS-- and it inspired the same clicking frenzy as any other RTS (I'm not sure if this is a good thing!) The graphics were very simple too, but I liked them anyway, they were clear and they showed what was going on. Fun game, too.
Extremely addictive. Maybe you should add a high score list and some different sounds. Other than that great game.
pretty good concept. if i kept the shields spinning, it seemed like nothing could get through. i think only have 3 shields would have made it a good challenge. it also probably needs an added twist or two to keep things interesting.
Good concept, though the story was a bit wacky. Missiles sometimes
looked like they were pointing the wrong direction. I got to level 7 just
by holding down the right arrow key and letting the shields constantly
rotate around the planet. Good game overall, though.
A bit too easy -- missiles almost always hit the moons -- and thus slightly boring. But I like the way the multiple explosion sound effects combine to make one very loud one (probably not intentional, but it's still nice)
I build some hardware which played the game for me. Actually, it locked my right cursor key and walked through to level 7. I would recommend a non-symmetrical shield to keep me from doing this.
Nice explosion animation by the way!
I think I ended up just holding the spin button down and hoping that the missiles would be hit- it's a bit hard to react to all the missle at once at the point where spinning doesn't work to get all of them. Maybe if the amount of ships was cut down and you only got 2 shield barriers instead of 4, or something like that.
neat concept. but way too difficult for me to really play and enjoy. i think what could make this a very exciting game would be larger playfields. it would give more time see and reacto to what is going on.
Overall - Not bad, the gameplay could use a little refinement.
Gameplay - Neat idea, I haven't really seen anything exactly like it.
Fun - I gave up on the second level after a few tries; sometimes clicking didn't work on my machine. The challenge is clearly in moving the most fast enough to click all the trees you want, which is not exactly that much fun.
Graphics - Quite consistent and clean looking. I liked it.
Sound - The music was a nice touch.
Technical - Works quite well for a Java applet.
Completeness - For what it is, it feels pretty polished.
Very good... the first Java Applet game I liked! :) Nice gameplay, better graphics would have made a better game, and the background music can REALLY get on your nerves... But the gameplay is GREAT!
Didn't quite know how the game worked. Went way too fast.
Maybe I'm missing something - can you only chop down trees? After the first round it seems very difficult to chop down anything fast enough.
The game is too difficult to play, perhaps you could change it so that there are more trees but the fire is spreading slower, so the player must have a strategy where to fell a tree.
I found it difficult to cut down the trees. Perhaps I was clicking in the wrong place?
I give this one some credit because I like the idea of setting up defenses and then seeing what happens... but what actually happens is a little hard to understand (what are the rules and why or why not would I want a certain defense in a certain place? One time a catapult drove straight through my walls to the treasure without stopping!). I also like the way destroyed enemies burn their images into the ground (not sure why that happens, but it looks cool!). I don't know if I always failed or not, but I got game over every time, whether or not the guys reached my treasure. Weird. The readme really could've benefited from some actual explanation of the game.
I like it. Never got to 'completed' or anything. A little more work and it could have been really cool!
Gameplay- Not it wasn't exactly fun to try and figure out what each defense did, so instructions might have been a better idea.
Graphics- Were actually kinda neat looking, maybe a little more animation would have been nice.
Technical- Memory leaks are bad- even coding fast you can avoid them if you're careful and use good data structures.
Neat idea. good graphics, too.
Looks like a good idea, not quite finished though.
No matter how tricky I distributed the barriers, I
always got a "Game Over"..
Oh, and, next time, you should give it a better name than "final.rar" .. I almost voted for the entry called "siege" because i thought it's this one. (and if possible, use zip instead of rar)
