Alas, I couldn't get onto the first platform. I'm guessing that maybe the physics is running a bit differently than mine. I will abstain from rating this but here are some thoughts:
- I really like the simple one click mechanic. Some really interesting jumping puzzles could be built on this.
- I guess that's all my thoughts are for now!
I like the idea, the game mechanics and the fact that it's done in JavaScript! Can get a bit too fiddly at times, tho, but good job overall! Also the description is hilarious. :D
Really cool mechanic. Bit difficult at times; you can't fine-tune your position so if you don't plan ahead it can get a bit frustrating.
On FireFox 3.5.9 for me I couldn't get the blue box on to even the first platform. So just wouldn't really work for me. :(
How interesting your game should be one of my 20. hehehe.
Well you basically know my thouhts. fun game, gets a little bit repetative at times though. Also: My strong imagination didnt help me with pretending the blocks were high quality. :(
I tried, really i did!
Hahaha - that's neat. I only got a couple of screens up, but enjoyed it : ) (also technically cool)
Cool mechanic, and I enjoyed the different ideas in the levels. I have a feeling I got stuck by eagerly finishing a level before I'd touched all of the magic squares? Either that or I got to the end. Or I found a puzzle that I couldn't figure out. Not really sure.
I really like this control scheme.
Some of the jumps are a bit too precise, but overall there are some good puzzles here. Lots of potential too.
Nice and interesting idea, a bit tough, but in a good way. Would love to see some graphics on there, and some funky music. Keep going on this :)
Wow, a lot better than I thought it would be. And JAVASCRIPT??? Holy crap.
Very frustrating, but I liked how different the control scheme was for most games. Also, javascript makes it even cooler.
Doesn't really fit the theme well, as it just seems like a platformer.
Neat puzzle game. Like an indirect platformer. I'm not so sure I see the theme here though. I mean, I suppose floating platforms could be islands, but you need to sell it a bit more.
I got up to a level where you start out at the bottom left corner with a yellow block above you, ice platforms at the top and a blue platform in the middle. I got stuck on that. I couldn't see a platform above the screen to get to, and there were no buttons, so I'm not sure what that was about. Does the game end there?
Extra brownie points for making it in Javascript.
Cool idea. I made it pretty far but got stuck.
This doesn't have much to do with islands and it's SUPER SIMPLE, but it was still pretty fun.
Great idea, and excellent execution. Worked flawless in Chrome (XP). Fun and challenging. A lot of potential. I think it could be a great game for Wii/DSware where instead of pointing you could "draw" the line. I have to say that I don't see any "island-related" thing :)
Doesn't work in IE at all. Played in FF. Runs ok, the jump mechanic is quite interesting. But also hard to think ahead.
In the long run it's getting rather boring.
Interesting way to control the character. The game lacks some meat, but it was surprisingly tricky to realize the order you had to move from platform to platform in.
Real good! Clever game mechanic and some good puzzles. In some ways it's better with the minimalist graphics, so I'm glad you polished the gameplay and puzzles first. :) One of my favorites so far.
Worked perfectly for me in Chrome 4.1.249.1064.
Hi score (first play) 18:16.23
Hooray, I win. I thought this was pretty cool. I think the first platform was a bit mean because people don't realize that they're supposed to use that tiny little platform all the way to the right. But this is great fun. Really cool mechanic.
A very interesting mechanic, but horribly unforgiving level design spoils it somewhat.
