Oct 24 04:28:55 Loose Screw ♥ 0 Interesting idea! Maybe the drawers could be a little different to distinguish them from the background? I was confused at first about the red numbers too. I eventually figured out that they were subtracting from the score, but at first I wondered if maybe they were subtracting health and the goal was to "kill" the problem by removing its health, haha. Good atmosphere!
Oct 24 04:46:02 17m 07s ToM ♥ 1 Cool aesthetic! It might have been good to have some indication in the game that you can restart after the battle is over. When it freezes, it looks like a bug (at least until I went back and read the description more closely)
Oct 24 05:07:41 21m 39s Abataz ♥ 0 Cool game and ambitious in scope for a jam! Captured the Gameboy feeling very well. Another commenter mentioned wanting to see the monster health bars—I think for me the issue was that it was confusing at first to figure out the power level of the monsters. The skeletons start off doing a lot more damage than the player, so they seem powerful, but it turns out they don't have a ton of health. A lot of games indicate that you are in the "right" area for your level if the monsters do about the same about of damage as the player can. That said, I got the hang of it after a while, and I do like the old school commitment to forcing players to figure things out through experimentation.
Oct 29 00:24:22 115h 16m Wake Me Up Before You Pogo ♥ 1 Great game! I like the way the music changes when you hit an obstacle. Some of the challenges are difficult, but the physics feel predictable and very fair. My favorite part was discovering the "wheeeeee" sound effect.
Oct 29 00:45:31 21m 09s Rail Mania ♥ 0 Cool puzzle idea! It starts out feeling similar to something that would be in an old puzzle book or that could be a physical tabletop puzzle game but starts to get more complicated. My main note would just be on gamefeel things that other commenters have already mentioned, like increasing the speed to make shifting things around less cumbersome.
Oct 29 00:56:47 11m 16s Feelm ♥ 1 Cool concept! I'm unfortunately pretty bad at mazes, but the sounds were very well done.
Oct 29 01:07:02 10m 15s Rail Switcher ♥ 0 Cool game! As another commenter mentioned, red vs. pink can be hard to tell apart, and I think it might be helpful to have a little bit of advance notice of which train is about to go where (similar to how you can see upcoming blocks in Tetris), since some of the switches are very close to the spawn point. But great concept overall and very good use of the theme!
Oct 29 01:23:16 16m 14s Pager Panic ♥ 0 Looks and sounds great! As another commenter mentioned, might help to make the patients easier to see in their beds because at first I thought their heads were just pillows haha.
Oct 29 01:29:43 6m 27s Granny's Tea & Tats ♥ 0 Cool game! Reminds me of an old Mario Party minigame. It looks like there's some stabilization when you're close to the line (?) which I thought was a nice touch!
Oct 29 01:56:31 26m 48s MyKoolHomePage.com ♥ 0 Cool entry! I liked how many options there were to customize the page! The different text and banner options were all funny and really captured the era.
Oct 29 02:03:16 6m 45s The Postman ♥ 0 Cool game with nice pixel art! Nice sense of exploration. There's a typo at the beginning where it has WSAD instead of WASD, but I mostly just found that funny.
Oct 29 02:14:46 11m 30s Hold the Gate ♥ 0 Cool interpretation of the theme. I like the open-ended nature of the puzzles. As others have pointed out, the art could be more cohesive—the different pixel sizes and the use of non-pixelated art makes it feel like a couple different games have been shoved together.
Oct 29 02:22:33 7m 47s Agressive Tendencies ♥ 1 Cool concept! Really love the idea of the game within the game and how that relates to the theme.
Oct 29 02:33:11 10m 38s After Anthropocene ♥ 0 Really liked the atmosphere and appreciated how the camera and level design made it clear where to go. Also love A. G. Cook but had never seen that particular video before. I was pleasantly surprised that getting spotted isn't an instant fail-state and instead starts a chase. Great execution of the theme!
