actually fun game mechanic!
A great concept, but it's hard to master!
The polo game has its own unique learning curve, and once you start getting used to it, the game becomes much more fun!
That said, it still gives me *Getting Over It* vibes, since the mechanics themselves are already quite challenging.
I think the next step would be to make the game more accessible to everyone. For example, you could introduce smoother terrain, such as slopes instead of rectangular obstacles, to make movement feel more natural and less frustrating.
I really think that would help a lot! Great job!
@bentootoo Thanks for playing and your comments! Did you manage to do some salto's? I didn't know Getting Over It, and just tried it. That was fun! :D
It takes a bit of skill to get through, but itβs an enjoyable game, with pleasant graphics and music:)
Simple conceptually, but hard to master, it's great! The comparison others have made to Getting Over It is what I was thinking while playing (before reading the comments).
The music is very nice, and the art style makes the game super pleasant! The charm let me enjoy the game, even as I was fighting the mechanics (in a good way). This might just be a skill issue on my part, but level 4 definitely felt the hardest by far, and it made me want to quit with how hard lining up the jumps were π .
Thank you for this game!
Great game! I like the way the music changes when you hit an obstacle. Some of the challenges are difficult, but the physics feel predictable and very fair. My favorite part was discovering the "wheeeeee" sound effect.
@plumitt Thanks for playing and your comment! I am really happy someone found that, haha! β€οΈ
@hammy275 Thanks for playing and your kind comments! Level 4 is quite challenging indeed... Did you finish all the levels in the end?
I crashed out on level 4 (too hard for me!) but had fun giving it a good try! It's an interesting challenge to balance your height and your rotation and the jumps feel really good. The 1950s theme was super fun too, and I liked the character and her reactions to crashing, doing a loop, etc. Well done!
@papaver I did indeed finish all of them, was very fun! π
