| Oct 9 15:25:51 | Hottentottententententoonstelling | ♥ 3 | This is probably the most adorable game I've ever played 🥺 really feels like you're a kid again, and you're just slowly remembering the details of whatever you're supposed to be drawing! I hadn't seen this kind of drawing challenge before, it's so creative!! Well done the both of you <3 vivaldi_h4GNhcPHG2.png | |
| Oct 9 15:57:53 | 32m 02s | Snake Cube | ♥ 1 | This is just a simple idea done very well! I'm surprised I hadn't seen 3D snake done like this before. I could keep playing for a long time! One suggestion maybe is to add a buffer so that the player can queue up a couple inputs, getting the controls right on snake can be surprisingly tricky because of the way the snake moves in steps that last multiple frames. But that's just a small thing, I think you did a really good job! |
| Oct 9 23:10:50 | 7h 12m | WYP | ♥ 1 | This is completely looney! Really feels like I'm a tourist in a trippy town that's obsessed with watches. Grappling around was really fun, I wish there was more of that! I even looked underneath the floating island to see if there were secrets there. x3 |
| Oct 9 23:39:56 | 29m 06s | Ryoshi No Shima | ♥ 1 | Very nice! I love incremental games and this one was also beautiful to boot! Did you model this whole island during the jam? I'm seriously impressed! One thing I'd say is missing is being able to upgrade your own fishing! It's nice when an incremental game lets you actively help your number go up while actually making a difference, but since I always only caught 1 fish at a time I just stood around waiting for a while until I got the next mission. Anyhow, this was a very charming cozy lil game! |
| Oct 10 00:39:47 | 59m 51s | The Internet Collector | ♥ 3 | I was very confused for a couple minutes, but after playing around and figuring out the controls this is actually a really really cool game! It felt like a text adventure told entirely through a command prompt, and the music definitely sold that top secret hacker vibe. Gotta say though, that final level was way too stretched out 😅 I felt like I was sitting there for half an hour just waiting for the zero-day to finish executing! That wasn't very fun, but at least the whole rest of the game made up for it by being really clever and funny. The world is run by cats and NONE of them know how to code, it's amazing!! The final reveal of what the nuclear warhead actually was was also the cherry on top |
| Oct 10 00:51:29 | 11m 42s | For the Herd! | ♥ 1 | Beautiful game very cozy visuals, but wow is it stressful! 😅 The most I got is 25, I don't understand how I'm supposed to keep herding them when they keep escaping! Maybe if the controls were normal 8-way movement or mouse based instead of tank controls it would be easier, I get the difficult controls are the point but right now it feels kinda cramped on my hand. Anyhow I think this was very charming, and I could definitely see myself trying it again sometime! |
| Oct 10 01:02:59 | 11m 30s | The Big COLLECTOR! | ♥ 1 | I'd have loved to play this because cute kitties, but unfortunately the web version while it loads, it doesn't fit on my screen (1366x768)... çwç you might wanna look into UI scaling for Unity. I tried the downloadable versions too but they look very unfinished, nothing like the screenshots on itch. I think you uploaded an early build by accident? If you fix these problems tag me so I can play it! |
| Oct 10 01:27:41 | 24m 42s | Please don't touch my collection | ♥ 1 | Beautiful game! I feel like I mostly stumbled through the solutions in my first playthrough but after getting stuck and trying again I could really appreciate what this game is doing! It's a very minimalistic design that you managed to turn into a very creative canvas for puzzles. Loved it! |
| Oct 11 01:00:13 | 23h 32m | Violet's Home | ♥ 3 | Really cute lil game! The art style reminds me of older children's books illustrated with little dioramas, is this relatable? Idk if other people had those as a kid. I really like the graphics, the controls were alright, the collisions felt too big though it's a first game so this is something you'll learn with time! The sounds are cute but the music is not good... it doesn't really have a clear melody, just feels like random notes, and it's too short too which makes it feel repetitive. I'm sorry! But this is something you can improve too in your next games! Overall it was just very cozy and sweet, and I vibe with this kinda thing :3 |
| Oct 11 01:16:58 | 16m 45s | Collect-o-maniac | ♥ 3 | Love me some microgames!! This artstyle was so unhinged, but every minigame meshed together really well. I love how the music is always slightly different between them, and each of them also has a slightly different way to show how much time is left! The difficulty felt just right, didn't struggle but also had to pay attention. Very funny and cohesive entry! |
| Oct 13 15:26:50 | 62h 09m | Opa is de Koning | ♥ 0 | What an adorable little game!! I loved the concept of seeing the world as a little kid and having to do quests as a knight for your grandpa. I adore how the knight comes back excited holding a new thing every time you come back! You absolutely nailed the mood. I do wish the pixel art filter wasn't so heavy handed, since it makes things look messy, like the board with the things you need to collect, and doesn't particularly look that good. But I quickly got over that and the game won me over! |
| Oct 13 16:13:14 | 46m 24s | Globby the Glutton | ♥ 3 | This game is fuckin hilarious! It took a while for me to stop dying, but after that it was extremely satisfying to just get more and more buff to the point where I was exterminating everyone in one hit. I got to wave 100 before getting bored and leaving lol. I don't think there needs to be a cap necessarily, but I think this could work wonderfully as a rogue-lite where the scrolls have a more rink/reward element to them, instead of them all being just rewards! |
| Oct 24 00:33:41 | 248h 20m | Bibli-otter-phy | ♥ 1 | It's a very cute game, I love the otter! You managed to pack a surprising amount of content in there, I'm actually amazed at the size of this map! I player for an hour and a half and didn't even get close to collecting everything, lucky you don't actually need to collect everything to finish it. Two notes: First, I wish going into the house was optional, especially since I had to go all the way to the end of the menu every time to go back into the water, and I didn't really care for the customization aspect. It's not that it's bad, it's just that I had much more fun just getting upgrades and moving quicker and collecting more things! Second, I think having to hold down confirm to pick up instead of pressing once and waiting, would feel more natural. Holding a button to pick something up with a wait time is a common mechanic in many games, so that might help clear up confusion! |
| Oct 24 00:48:28 | 14m 47s | Color Collector | ♥ 1 | The art is definitely highlight of this game, so cute and pretty! There were a couple bugs, on my first play through the color picker wasn't working. I also didn't realize you needed to select an empty spot before picking, I thought it got added to my inventory automatically, so after I picked the blue color and I couldn't pick up the red, I was confused for a while. The mechanic itself sounds like a fun idea but the game was too short to properly show its potential! Both puzzles just consisted of swapping two colors around. If you have more ideas, you should try to expand this one when you have more time! BTW since you said you just started learning, I wanna give you props for being one of the few Unity games I've played in this jam that actually had correct UI scaling!! Most games don't bother to do that and thus don't work on my tiny laptop. So thank you for that! x3 |
| Oct 24 01:10:53 | 22m 25s | Fruit Flyer | ♥ 0 | I actually found it pretty fun to control the drone! I think the default camera zoom is way too close and would have rather you hold shift to zoom instead of the other way around, but that's fine. You just need to be careful and slow, and you can collect as many fruits as you want. Although I think you tried to do too many ideas at once and they didn't really work together. Losing 100 moneys after dying is WAY too brutal, especially since the player is expected to die a bunch of times before they get a hold of the mechanics. At that point, you're better off just closing the game and starting again. I think controlling the drone is difficult and fun enough that this game could have easily been a simple game jam-friendly score attack game, where you try to collect as many fruits as you can before your drone blows up, and maybe the higher you fly the more valuable they get. Having to manage your power, and brokenness, and debt, makes the game feels like a longer term commitment, not as fun as just flying around collecting fruit and blowing up. Also, I don't understand why, but every time I put a fruit in the basket and it hits another fruit/the bottom of the basket, a negative number appears. What does that one mean? Am I not supposed to drop them there? I still get money regardless. Anyway, the art is beautiful and the controls are fun! Def just scope out something smaller next time. |
| Oct 24 01:24:55 | 14m 02s | Mom sent me Grocery Shopping | ♥ 0 | Pretty funny simple idea! I think you should have made the control scheme use the mouse instead of the keyboard, since when you press a key your cart immediately snaps to that direction and you lose all your items, which doesn't feel fair. I got a funny ending when I collected a bunch of bread, but I wish my mom also had something to say to me when I came home with 3 brand new TVs. x3 |
