| Apr 8 22:08:38 | Call from the depths | ♥ 2 | Awesome game. I love the cool cult-y aesthetic and style of the world. The corpse platforming is also executed really well! Some neat interactions with the level / enemy design. I made it all the way to this point before I got stumped: callfromdepths.png Any hints? :p | |
| Apr 8 22:20:08 | 11m 30s | CONFESSION | ♥ 1 | Genuinely so impressive, I love the artwork and style. It feels kind of like I'm reading an interactive comic book! The only downside is the ending, haha. I want to know what happens after he hits 100% |
| Apr 8 22:33:27 | 13m 19s | Sammich Snatcher | ♥ 1 | Such a great game! I especially love the artwork; it's so charming and makes the whole experience feel super cohesive :D I think it could use some design tweaks difficulty-wise, but otherwise very fun and enjoyable. 10/10 would eat sammich again. |
| Apr 8 22:41:52 | 8m 25s | Forgotten Files | ♥ 2 | Great game and story! I like your writing / storytelling style. I'm impressed by how many little things there were to 'explore' around the room (i.e. all the different photos / possible PIN combos). Had a nice "aha" moment when I got the computer finally unlocked :D |
| Apr 8 22:57:04 | 15m 12s | Pogo-Lift | ♥ 2 | I loved this. The freeze-frame when you successfully kick an enemy is what does it for me, gives me serious ULTRAKILL parry vibes; so satisfying and fun. (also audibly laughed when I saw how the enemies frown when you knock them out, lol). The art feels goofy but cohesive, which I really like. Kind of reminds me of the old madness combat games. Also good use of SFX / audio in general :D The only thing I felt was off is the timing for kicking enemies. I think the window is a bit too small? Felt kind of inconsistent. Overall really fun game! The kick-jump mechanic is just so cool and very well executed. |
| Apr 8 23:06:58 | 9m 54s | Sub-Silence | ♥ 2 | Wow, super impressed by how incredibly polished this game feels. The artwork and sfx are super cohesive and satisfying! Gameplay-wise, I think the enemies are a bit too fast (or maybe I'm just too slow, lol). It's hard to tell where you're aiming because the radar pings so slowly. However, I started surviving a lot longer once I started spamming the movement more to get away :P Overall really fun game! |
| Apr 8 23:18:00 | 11m 02s | Cricetus Crevice | ♥ 1 | This is such a cool concept that's honestly executed really really well. The audio 'juice' really sold me; I love how there's a subtle dial/ticking noise whenever you're using the charge mechanic. Makes it even more satisfying to use and smash into crystals. The amount of polish and well executed level design is awesome. I would believe this was a Steam game if I didn't know better, haha. Also really like the concept; watching the hamster run up against its "hamster ball" while the rest of the game has this serious atmosphere made me smile |
| Apr 8 23:23:28 | 5m 28s | OnlyDown | ♥ 1 | Really cute game! I like how the potato you're playing as goes ':o' whenever he falls, lmao. It seems like some things are missing gameplay-wise (I pretty much just held down 's', might've missed a better strategy though) but it's still fun! |
| Apr 8 23:28:49 | 5m 21s | Kika's Eggsplosive Descent | ♥ 4 | Incredible game! The concept is super simple but executed really well; really satisfying blowing through obstacles at once :P The aesthetic is also awesome; love the watercolor style artwork. |
| Apr 9 20:18:53 | 20h 50m | Fia Fuel | ♥ 1 | Cool game! I love the atmosphere, it reminds me of old atari games. The exploration is quite fun, I just wish the character moved and fell faster. |
| Apr 9 20:29:58 | 11m 05s | What Happened to Pinewell? | ♥ 1 | Wow, that was awesome. A really tight and enjoyable experience; great job on replicating the old Windows look! Had a lot of fun clicking around and interacting with the emails, lol. My favorite part was how the music ramped up during the "uploading" part, it really added a lot to the tension and atmosphere. The ending was also a really nice touch, bravo :) For anyone who is confused about how to get past the first password - Look at the files visible on the desktop, and the password 'hint'. |
| Apr 9 20:40:02 | 10m 04s | Debt Miner | ♥ 1 | Really great game. Feels like I'm playing minesweeper but 1000x more satisfying, hahaha. I really like how creating upgrades shows a visible "tool" in the mineshaft; it's a really nice touch imo. Maybe now that I've paid Dheetz he'll finally get off his ass and help me down here... |
| Apr 9 20:52:09 | 12m 07s | Maps of The Darkness | ♥ 1 | Wow, this is really impressive. It took me a second to understand the gist, but once it clicked it was a lot of fun. Having to draw your own map of the floors adds a lot; I really like that it makes you stop and think while exploring, which is the opposite of what I normally do in roguelike games like this (which is just explore blindly and rely on an auto-map of some kind to save my progress :p) Combat is also fun despite being a bit janky. The only issues I had were when enemies would insta-knock me back into previous rooms, but this didn't detract from it too much. Really fun game! |
| Apr 9 21:02:06 | 9m 57s | Deep Forest | ♥ 1 | I figured out pretty quickly that you can hold spacebar to fly infinitely LOL |
| Apr 9 21:08:46 | 6m 40s | Fishing Therapy | ♥ 2 | The artwork is really great. I love the way you used different objects for each patient to kind of tell a story about what their trauma is, lol. I just barely managed to beat the first boss after getting down to one heart. I can tell you put a lot of work into this, great job! |
| Apr 9 21:39:38 | 30m 52s | The 4BY55 | ♥ 2 | Lmao, this game is incredibly jank and unpolished but I kind of love it (being a fellow boba addict also helps). It doesn't play very well, but I respect the ambition and thought/care that went into a lot of stuff here. Wish I could give you a rating on this one, but it looks like it's disabled? I'm honestly just beyond impressed at the sheer amount of mechanics there are (also a lot of surprisingly funny dialogue and flavor text-- I can only imagine how long it must've taken to write all this, so serious props). The mechanics are pretty jank and confusing LOL; it took me a couple minutes to figure out how to navigate the cluttered UI (having the list of controls on-screen helped a lot with this). However, after figuring it all out I could tell that a lot of work went into fleshing out the different drink ingredients and orders. The drink ingredient names/descriptions are also clever and tickle the boba-addled part of my brain. Can't believe how complex this crafting system is with the different ingredient effects and whatnot, but you madlads managed to pull this off in one weekend, so props again. Also the fact that you get your ingredients from literal Hell (which is pretty much its own separate game in and of itself... with a DRINK THROWING mechanic? wtf hahaha) is crazy and also hilarious. A couple humble quick-fix suggestions: - It looks like the textures have some blurriness issues? I would check to see if you have Godot's texture filtering set to "nearest" - The game has a ton of text and control nodes, so I would add a new font and also tweak the Theme a bit; I think that alone would make the entire game seem more polished and playable, since right now it's pretty hard to read the text in some areas as the commenter above me mentioned. - Damn trench wtf trenchwtf.png Overall, really enjoyed playing this despite the jank. Nice entry! |
| Apr 9 21:44:27 | 4m 49s | Stars In The Deep | ♥ 1 | Really cool game! It's a simple idea but executed really well I think. I really like your choice of audio, it adds a lot to the underwater atmosphere / ambiance. That constant "sonar" sound is also super relaxing :P |
| Apr 9 21:57:31 | 13m 04s | Esca - Ludum Dare 57 | ♥ 1 | Love the graphics and design. The way the anglerfish just smiles while devouring all these fish, lol. Really fun game! |
| Apr 10 18:49:05 | 20h 51m | Descendant | ♥ 1 | This is incredible. Feels really polished and tight; I can't believe how many good puzzles you managed to fit in during this short timespan (I think I had fun with all of them except one of the "crush your enemies" rooms near the end, which felt a bit tedious xD) Also really enjoyed the music; that moment where you use the candle and the BGM speeds up is awesome. Loved the game! |
| Apr 10 19:04:38 | 15m 33s | Dante's Mini-Golf | ♥ 1 | Fun game! Love the crunchy pixel art and audio. I wish there was some sort of mechanic to help line up shots / gauge how far the ball is going to go - I think this would help a lot with how frustrating some of the later levels can get haha. The layered soundtrack is also a really nice touch - was pleasantly surprised when I got to level 4 and could hear a noticeable change in the music. Made me want to keep playing -- until I fell all the way back down to level 1 in one go, lmao |
| Apr 10 19:12:00 | 7m 22s | Excapade | ♥ 4 | Really impressive and fun game! I love the artstyle and overall design - I think the pottergeist is my favorite enemy lol. Super cool idea and honestly executed really well; the battle system reminds me of undertale the way you have to time your defense. |
| Apr 10 19:20:59 | 8m 59s | Dantes Descendants | ♥ 1 | I loved this lol, the way the characters pose and hurl insults at each other while fighting will never not be funny to me. My character 'godpng' made it to Wrath before we got wiped out by zoot. Looks like the healing builds are the way to go! Really fun game and genuinely so impressive. |
| Apr 10 19:25:30 | 4m 31s | Stealing the Captain's Family Jewels | ♥ 3 | Cool game, loved the voiceover cutscene at the beginning lol |
| Apr 10 19:33:32 | 8m 02s | Scares on Schedule | ♥ 2 | Love this game, the audio and visuals are incredibly well done. I was only able to get about 4 scares before being done in lmao. I like the wario-ware style of minigames, but it feels like things move a bit too fast - I think it could use some more downtime / visual feedback so it's easier to understand what's happening, especially when just starting out. Overall a really solid and fun entry! |
| Apr 10 20:15:31 | 41m 59s | HOLE | ♥ 1 | Fun simple game that's executed really well! I really liked the choice of music, very catchy haha. |
