Apr 12 21:52:58 Hole Punch ♥ 1 Ah ah! Fun little game with a neat aesthetic. The main idea is clever. I did not expect some kind of games using the keyboard - according to the theme, but why not? However, there is a little problem for those who play with an azerty keyboard (I do). The letters are not the same. I guess that we have to play exclusively using a qwerty keyboard - or you can allow this choice including a menu. Just an idea. Thank you for this good game - and your comment about my own project. I wish you the best ++
Apr 12 21:58:40 5m 42s Walking Simulator ♥ 1 Interesting tech demo. Cool graphics. It works as expected ++
Apr 12 22:06:53 8m 13s A Final Deed ♥ 2 A solid entry. This is not the first game which uses the keyboard as the main mechanic for this 57th LudumDare session, but this one is really impressive. At first, I really loved the blue cat - and its animation. The background story is clever and I have fun playing, helping people. I lost many attempts because of details - texts on screen, music and animations... Captivating and addictive, especially the background music. Well done. Thank you for this entry and your comment about my own project. I wish you the best ++
Apr 12 22:13:33 6m 40s Super Mecha Diggin Dodge Idle ♥ 1 Solid entry - like its background metal music. The main concept is really interesting - and the aesthetic deserves our respect - especially for a game which has been done in less than 72 hours. Maybe (but it's not a reproach), you could integrate a tutorial system. This project has great potential. Well done. Thank you for this noisy experience - and for your comment about my own project. I wish you the best ++
Apr 12 22:21:38 8m 05s Upstream ♥ 0 Well well. An entry that reminds me of a more solid project on which you are working. I know this main gameplay because I played your first releases. You made something good using these main mechanics which are efficient and clever. Everything works well as expected. Ironically, it seems to me that you are developing a DLC for your game Sector Sweep. Neat! Thank you for this entry - and for your comment about my own entry. I wish you the best ++
Apr 12 22:49:35 27m 57s Down Wheel ♥ 1 Interesting game with an unusual character. I guess that this is the first time I play an invalid with a wheelchair (and why not?). Ironically, the movements are smooth and the mechanics work well as expected. It's not always easy - and I die often trying to pass through levels. I have fun playing. Just one negative point - The music is too repetitive, but I know that it is not a big problem. Thank you for this entry - and for your comment about my own project. I wish you the best ++
Apr 12 22:58:34 8m 59s The chronicles of Mr. Marmo ♥ 1 This game is just amazing. It reminds me of my old MasterSystem Sega console - and especially a game on which I wasted my youth : **Alex Kid In The Miracle World**. I guess that it inspired you, no? The way you use the theme is clever. The mechanics work well as expected, and the graphics are gorgeous. This is one of my favorite entries for this 57th LudumDare session. You bring me so many good feelings - I totally forgot Alex Kid. Thank you for this entry, and for your comment about my own project. As usual, I wish you the best. *I am happy to see that @lizz created Mr Marmo with you* ++
Apr 14 16:44:23 41h 45m Submarine Waffles ♥ 0 Strange game. Well done ++
Apr 14 16:49:37 5m 14s Deckfall ♥ 1 Very impressive project. Everything works well as expected. The aesthetic is really neat. However, I would like to see some animations for the character, but in less than 72 hours, you made a solid entry. It reminds me of an old game on which I often played when I was younger - Gauntlet. I guess that you know it - and maybe it inspired you. Thank you for this experience - and feelings. I appreciated your comment about my own game. I wish you the best ++
Apr 16 16:30:27 47h 40m Grimm Syndrome ♥ 2 Impressive game about frustration and deep feelings. I really appreciated this musical experience - and all those minigames which are really well done. The main idea is amazing - and you manage the theme with an unusual expectation. The aesthetic is neat. One of my favorites. Thank you for this project. I wish you the best ++
Apr 18 16:38:12 48h 07m Deep Guild ♥ 1 Really interesting mechanics with an unusual gameplay. I am not a good player when there is a quest schedule, but I have fun playing. The main idea is clever and well done for a game made in less than 48 hours. You should develop this first release. I guess that it could become a full game with more features. Thank you for your comment about my own project. I wish you the best ++
Apr 18 16:48:38 10m 26s Escape The Depths ♥ 1 Solid entry with a clever use of the theme. Many projects for this LudumDare session made something about "deeper progression" in-game. It seems to me that it's not the first thing when I consider the theme "depths", but why not? This project reminds me of an old game which is named "StarFox". There is the same sequence, and the same neat aesthetic. The controls work well as expected. I had fun playing. Thank you for this short travel in the cavern. Thank you for rating my own project. I wish you the best ++
Apr 18 16:55:12 6m 34s Echo-Of-Fallens ♥ 1 Solid entry with an incredible mood which fits with the theme. The gameplay and the narrative line are good. The boss fight is great. Maybe a little bit too dark, but this is your aesthetic choice. Why not? Thank you for your comment about my own entry. I wish you the best ++
Apr 18 17:01:20 6m 08s The Well of Secrets ♥ 1 Solid entry with an incredible mood which fits with the theme. I really like the main aesthetic which reminds me of my old PS1. The controls work well as expected. I had fun walking in the pseudo mazes. Thank you for your comment about my own entry. I wish you the best ++
Apr 19 20:15:28 27h 14m The Cleaner of the depth ♥ 4 Very impressive aesthetic with an unusual mood. I really like the background sounds which give us more feelings that we are sitting near to the river - under the palms. The main gameplay is fun - and hard. However all controls works well as expected. I had fun playing. Thank you for this project. Thank you for your comment about my own entry. Вам удачи ++
Apr 19 20:19:21 3m 53s Job: Elevator! ♥ 0 A strange entry with an interesting gameplay. It reminds me of another game with some similar mechanics - **Mini Metro**. The way you fit with the theme is unusual. I had fun playing. Thank you for this project - and for your comment about my own game. I wish you the best ++
Apr 19 20:29:03 9m 42s DEEPLINE ♥ 1 Amazing game with an unusual gameplay. Immediately, playing your entry, I said to myself, "*this guy has a solid experience as a games developer*". After my test, I took a look at your work - very impressive. The aesthetic is very good and the mood too. The controls work well as expected. The core reminds me of mine which I used for my own entry, but yours is better... Of course, you are not using ripples in order to see surfaces, but the core is more or less similar. Neat. I thank you for your kind words testing my project. I really appreciated them. I wish you the best ++
Apr 19 20:42:19 13m 16s GRAFFITI TOWER ♥ 1 Really good game - addictive and well done. The aesthetic is gorgeous - simple, but I like it. The background music is tryptic - *yoh yoh brothers! Com' on in the streets...* - a pure nineties rap song. Good enough. One of my favorite entries for this 57th LudumDare session. Add a leaderboard on-line for the best scores, and you have a hit. Thank you for this casual game - and for your comment about my own project. I wish you the best ++
Apr 20 06:40:32 9h 58m BTW: Beneath the Waves ♥ 1 One of the last entries which I am rating - but not the least. The main aesthetic is gorgeous - some pixel art, but really neat. It reminds me of games from the old eighties on Commodore 64. The little animations are smooth and well done so as to give a vibe - a perpetual movement. I am very surprised by the large number of features in-game, according to the crew occupying a particular place in the ship or another one. It's a really good idea because the gameplay is usual for a casual game. Addictive with a solid narrative background story. Maybe the music is a little bit too repetitive, but this is not a big problem... I had fun playing for a while. This project has serious potential. Thank you for this experience - and for your comment about my own entry. I really appreciated your huge review. I wish you the best ++
Apr 20 06:50:57 10m 25s THE CAVE MAN ♥ 1 You made a game with a solid background. The Zelda mechanics are well done - controls are smooth. Weird ++
Apr 20 07:03:28 12m 31s Core Breach ♥ 1 I really like this casual game with a really good use of the theme. The minimalist aesthetic is pleasant - some color palettes are gorgeous. Just a few black lines and this tiny satelite... Addictive gameplay. There is only one big problem, but I guess that you could fix it easily. Playing the main character, the movement is flicking or jerking. If it happens using Unity, you have to check your code inside the Update() or FixedUpdate() section. There is something wrong in your code. I will take a look at the source today. Fixing this annoying bug, your game could become a serious project on mobile devices - even on computers. Honestly I could pay one or two bucks for a game like yours which reminds me of another good game - **Trip To Vinelands** (do you know it? Another gameplay, but it has a more or less similar aesthetic). One of my favorite entries for this 57th LudumDare session. I want 100 levels. You deserve more more more ratings. I wish you the best ++ ------------------------------------------------ A few hours after my first post 🐱 I found the bug 🐛 In the CameraFollow script, don't use **LateUpdate()**, but **FixedUpdate()** for a really better execution. Change the RigidBody Collision Detection for *Discrete* and Interpolate for *none*. Now the movement is really better - smoother. I guess that the *FollowRotation* script could be improved too with a SmoothDamp computation using a little latency or a slerp transition... I wish you the best for the next releases. Bye ++ PS : for a first update, this code seems better : code.png
Apr 20 19:14:13 12h 10m Depth of Mind ♥ 0 **102460** Interesting console project - not a game. I like the sound effect when I am writing something during the meditative while. I took a look at the code in order to understand that there is nothing to do, but I am surprised that I write something on my keyboard - just for me, an introspective time. Strange - and I like it ++
Apr 20 19:38:54 24m 41s DeepDive Quest (18+) ♥ 0 It's not a pornographic game too harsh, but I would like to know what the hell you thought reading the theme **Depths**. Some pictures are really well done using a neat pixel-art aesthetic - and I guess that it is not easy to draw some sexual content using Pixels. Thank God, no sounds in the game. Thank you for this strange experience. At least, you made something for this 57th LudumDare session. I wish you the best ++ And no! You cannot go at the movie theater with my daughter tonight ❌️
Apr 20 19:44:26 5m 32s Depths of brain ♥ 1 Really interesting idea. Meditative - and well done ++
Apr 20 19:53:21 8m 55s Echo ♥ 1 Interesting implementation of the theme - and solid mechanics. I like tha main idea - and the core is well done. The aesthetic is sober without too many details. I like the torch. I had fun playing. I guess that you used a procedural generation to generate platforms. Thank you for this experience. I wish you best ++
Apr 23 13:20:55 65h 27m Brainwash ♥ 3 Strange concept, but really well done. The main idea is clever - and all controls work well as expected. I laughed when I heard the intro - working at the brainwash is fun (sure). A brain as a map is not usual, and it's a good idea which reminds me of some old movies like **Innerspace** or **Fantastic Voyage**. I guess that they inspired you - consciously or not. As others mentioned, the music is top notch. Maybe you should add some features in-game, giving more depths to this first release. A solid entry for this 57 LudumDare session. Thank you for this inner experience - and for your review of my own entry. I wish you the best ++
