Apr 10 20:09:39 MindDive ♥ 3 Finally, Cruelty Squad but EPIC!!
Apr 10 20:20:44 11m 05s SKYLINE EXCAVATOR ♥ 1 The digging section is insanely satisfying, great game!!
Apr 12 19:19:23 46h 58m The Depths Below the Tower ♥ 1 The puzzles were a bit hit or miss - the itch embed kept lagging which made me me fail one of the puzzles multiple times.. The art was stellar though, thanks for the game!
Apr 12 19:22:47 3m 24s Light - Ludum Dare 57 ♥ 1 This game has mood for DAYS - the quiet voice reading out the poem felt SO GOOD, I got SHIVERS at first. Good stuff!! The gameplay felt a bit unresponsive at times - the experience would greatly benefit by giving the player more feedback on their actions, aaand maybe a bit more wiggle room when encountering enemies? Overall, one of the highlights of the jam for me. Thanks for the game!
Apr 12 19:27:22 4m 35s DEPTH FIRST ♥ 2 It took me a couple deaths, but I got the hang of the mechanics. In hindsight, I shoulda read the darn description, buuuut maybe consider adding a little tutorial? If you plan on expanding this game further, that is. The puzzles themselves were super engaging and scratched my brain just right. The story, however, was a bit forgettable - but the character designs stuck with me, so you're doing something right! Thanks for the game!
Apr 12 19:30:17 2m 55s Sammich Snatcher ♥ 2 It took a rage quit and coming back to this game the next day, but something clicked overnight, I came back and I reached level 2 first try - turns out, when you're not rushing to catch the raccoon, the game is actually very beatable! The platforming feels a bit unforgiving at times (I don't want to be yet another proponent of coyote time and less punishing fall damage, but I can't help myself), but I loved the art and the general vibes. Solid entry, thanks for the game!!
Apr 13 10:10:22 14h 40m Doom Scroll Hell ♥ 1 This game just oozes style!! You did a great job on the music and the art, and the flame particle effects and filters just tied it all together It would be nice if the controls were a bit less fiddly - swiping with the mouse felt a bit unwieldy, and was the main thing keeping me from truly getting into the flow of things. Adding keyboard controls or on-screen buttons would make it way better IMO. Bet it would work great with touch controls, though Lovely entry, thanks for the game!!
Apr 13 12:44:11 2h 33m . ♥ 12 @protzz no need to post the scripts on git, you can just zip up your game's files (uncompiled) and post them on itch, same page as your game. Let the people learn how you did things, so they can hone their craft too, y'know? After all, it's quite impressive what you accomplished in a mere 48 hours - it would be invaluable to the community to know how exactly you did it! Also, reconsider this stonewalling of requests. They don't come from a place of malice - it's just that as it is now, your game doesn't comply with the Compo rules, and that might get you disqualified from the jam altogether.
Apr 13 12:47:07 2m 56s Pogo-Lift ♥ 2 This is a highlight of this LD for me. The main character and the game's general energy remind me of RunMan and the gameplay is OH so satisfying!! You may consider giving the player a bit more of a "grace" window and easing off on the difficulty, if you plan to expand on this project in the future. Thanks for the game, keep on making stuff <3
Apr 13 12:49:40 2m 33s Cavedude ♥ 2 The core mechanic of the game (touching stone walls to regain your mid-air jumps) kinda feels like it's a bug that got turned into a feature. Which is in no way a bad thing. The platforming felt challenging, but rewarding. The game definitely needs a bit more feedback and maaaybe less button mashing? It really depends on what you want to have in the end, though. Overall - a memorable entry that left a very good impression on me. Thanks for the game!!
Apr 13 14:27:53 1h 38m From The Depths ♥ 2 I can tell this game is a product of passion just from the description alone. That is not to say I didn't have a fair share of issues with the gameplay, but I see you included most of them in the description too! How's that for self-awareness? lol One thing I didn't see mentioned is how a lack of player feedback and an abysmally small melee range make for combat that feels... floaty and unresponsive at best. Another thing that was missing for me was a minimap or some other way to tell where you are in relation to other rooms - it's really easy to get lost in the maze of identical halls. Either way, good job and thanks for the game, keep on making things <3
Apr 13 14:57:06 29m 13s Deep Dish Pizzagram ♥ 2 I really like your take on the theme, using "depths" to mean *layers of chicago pizza* is really creative. As for the game - I can't really say much, maybe except for the fact that I wished the functions were a bit more explained and not.. vibes-based, I guess? Being able to go through layers easier would be a big plus as well. But I'm really glad there's an actual pizzagram and you can look through others' creations. Shoutouts to whoever made the 144 layer deep dish! Overall - great idea, but feels a bit.. UNDERBAKED! Ha haha.. Ha.. Come on now, it wasn't that bad of a joke. Thanks for the game, keep on making stuff <3
Apr 20 20:21:26 173h 24m Cheese is the Reason ♥ 2 This is the one, this is **the** LD57 game I usually look for things to nitpick, but other than one super minor bug (the dialogue portrait being wrong in one of the cheese fried rice guy interactions) I actually can't seem find anything negative to say about this, it's a **MASTERPIECE** My compliments to the rats, shoutouts to Jerma985
Apr 20 22:09:19 1h 47m Stolen Heart ♥ 1 You put a really solid spin on the Slay the Spire formula; the main thing I felt was missing was more variety in the way the cards worked - there's only so many times I can get excited for cards that plainly deal damage or grant shielding The game could also use some more feedback for the player - some animations and the like, y'know? Really hoping you keep expanding on this idea in the future, your project looks very promising - thanks so much for the game!
