| Apr 16 01:42:31 | ManaFest | ♥ 4 | Hey! It looks nice! Though I can't get past the level with the white cat platform. I can spawn the first one fine, but not the second one. Is there something I am doing wrong? | |
| Apr 16 01:44:59 | 2m 28s | Horrors from Beyond - The Bayou | ♥ 1 | It's stuck at 95% loading for me too |
| Apr 16 01:51:09 | 6m 10s | Spring Summoner | ♥ 4 | Pretty nice; a complete, fun, and challenging game with a cool concept :) |
| Apr 16 02:03:59 | 12m 50s | Split-Decision | ♥ 4 | Very slick art and neat mechanic. Took me a few minutes to figure it out but was fun after that :) |
| Apr 16 02:11:33 | 7m 34s | Castle Romantik | ♥ 1 | Love the little rock hexes, didn't see those in Dorfromantik but they look really nice here. My score was 2790 |
| Apr 16 11:57:24 | 9h 45m | Monster Food Truck | ♥ 2 | Probably the best game I've seen in the jam so far! The art is fantastic, concept of the monster food truck is terrific, I love how everything revolves around the summoning theme, and it's all executed very well (excuse the pun). Plus it's just awesome to see another great pixel art game :D The only feedback I'd have is like the other comments mention, some kind of helpful tutorial / advice. I was stuck on how I even summon something for a good while (maybe I'm just stupid though). PS: Who would have thought I'd see a duck in hell? |
| Apr 16 12:09:25 | 12m 01s | Necrunmancer | ♥ 3 | Great game which shines with it's completeness. It has a lot of content, decent number of mechanics, a great difficulty ramp-up! My only feedback would be to make the art a little bit more consistent, for example, some entities have a white outline, whilst others have none. (also I believe the hellhound is floating) Great work overall though! |
| Apr 16 12:49:51 | 40m 26s | Deathless Sentinel | ♥ 2 | Amazing and unique art style, hard to believe it was made in Unity, the fidelity looks Unreal :) Also a really original and interesting take on the summoning theme. First game that actually took me a good chunk of time to complete thanks to the good puzzle design and story. Also, love the look and feel of the chain. My only feedback would be to make the intro a little bit more user-friendly. I thought the game was at a broken resolution or something because of the empty white box. Maybe showing the first dialogue phrase and a button hint to progress. |
| Apr 16 21:16:07 | 8h 26m | Decades And Dragons | ♥ 3 | This game actually made me cry a little - the story was all too real and it's especially sad to see that the bar gets smaller every time. Everything here is fantastic - the art, writing, and polish are especially incredible (I love the little scattered items, it fits the vibe so well). I found myself more interested in the story rather than the gameplay as time went on, and just enjoyed reading the different activities the old friends get up to and how their life is panning out (oh the irony). There's also probably enough content here to already warrant a small paid game, I spent at least 30 mins trying to figure out all the sessions and not let my friends down! I usually try to find some improvement suggestion at the end, but this game is literally perfect - there's nothing I would change about it :) |
| Apr 17 22:27:22 | 25h 11m | Hyper Hydra | ♥ 1 | Wow, this is a really good fully-fledged game, definitely in the top few of all of the games I've seen so far! The pixel art is for sure the best I've seen. The menu is so satisfying. Loove the text, colours, and stylisation overall! The gameplay idea is fantastic as well - original and well kept to the summoning theme. The card drawing and adding to the deck fully completes the game's loop which is awesome to see so cleanly developed. Some suggestions: - Balancing the damage cards a little bit at the start, I died on level one twice (maybe I am just stupid though) - Maybe it could be more fun to make the card placement based on the lane hitboxes (they can then move to their usual position). It took me some time to get used to the placement. |
| Apr 17 22:38:11 | 10m 49s | Library Fighter II Turbo | ♥ 1 | This is definitely the most hilarious game I've played. And actually has really fun and interesting gameplay! |
| Apr 17 22:55:42 | 17m 31s | Soul Dungeon | ♥ 1 | It's nice to a see a different but clean art style from the other submissions! Also really polished game with some nice effects and ideas. Also a decent amount of content and cool puzzles :) My only feedback would be as the others also mention, the controls are a bit awkward (mainly the z to jump, and maybe a space to cast spells?) |
| Apr 19 21:31:05 | 46h 35m | Danger Zone! | ♥ 1 | Fun little game with a good and interestingtake on the theme. I like the sound effects and music! The art style is also really nice and simple, awesome work for one developer! :D Some feedback would be to balance out the player attacks / power-ups with more enemy variety. I think it would double the fun if there was a yellow monster that was twice as fast for example :) |
| Apr 19 21:51:00 | 19m 55s | Blood From a Tome | ♥ 3 | Damn bro I am so stupid, I swear I don't know how to play half of these jam games 😠I spent like 5 minutes figuring out you had to click on the card, then click on the slot. Thought it would automatically go when you click on the card or drag and drop. Though playing the game a bit more, I think it could do with a few small hints in places (like showing you have to pass the token to continue). Apart from that, this seems like a very ambitious game with the amount of gameplay there is - I am impressed! This is probably one of the most sophisticated pieces of work I've seen this jam. It also has a really really great mood: the writing, the music, creature designs, and overall art style are perfectly in symphony - great work guys! |
| Apr 19 22:12:56 | 21m 56s | Midnight Cheese Quest | ♥ 1 | Woah, this is one of the coolest and most under-rated games I've seen! I absolutely love the vibe; to me it feels like a chill game that's not trying to do too much, yet what it does it does perfectly. The mechanics are super interesting where you have to both do physics based puzzle solving AND resource management. The puzzle are well though through (and somewhat challenging). Plus the little torch sprites are cute. This is a great game I had a lot of fun playing! :) My only feedback would to add some satisfying sound effects for castling spells :) |
| May 2 22:11:19 | 311h 58m | Delightfully Devilish | ♥ 3 | Fun game with some really nice art and an interesting theme! The style of the AI generated images fits into your chosen art style too. The only thing was that I found clicking the cancel button a bit challenging sometimes. |
| May 2 22:20:23 | 9m 04s | Faust | ♥ 3 | I love the art and music in this game! You've even got some environmental story telling with the background pieces, nice! The concept is really neat, and the game feels very much complete. Probably one of the only games with a decent tutorial too! |
| May 2 22:26:45 | 6m 22s | Slaymore | ♥ 2 | Very nice and stylised art style, I love the little sound effects! The jump especially made me jump, but then smile :) My only feedback would be maybe polishing the movement and hitboxes a little bit. |
| May 2 22:33:41 | 6m 56s | No one makes the Grand Warlock wait! | ♥ 1 | Haha this game has my favourite backstory from the whole jam :D Very nice and clean shader work too! |
| May 2 22:40:43 | 7m 02s | Tremblewood | ♥ 2 | Lovely well-rounded game! This was probably one of the most fun to play games, it felt very satisfying to destroy the whole town with your minions in the end :D The core loop and mechanic is really solid! |
| May 2 22:50:17 | 9m 34s | Tower Of Madness | ♥ 3 | I love the upbeat music and the art style. The main mechanic is really fun too! It's not too hard (but I still died instantly the first time) but provides a good degree of challenge with the occasional hints and combo memorisation. The monsters have so much character too :) |
| May 2 23:00:59 | 10m 42s | Final Chants | ♥ 0 | Phenomenal mood. I was pretty horrified the whole time. The art style is super super nice, love the combo of pixel art dungeon crawler, but creepy and mysterious. Maybe the only thing is that it felt a bit challenging at times. Also +1 because Godot :D |
