| Oct 4 08:48:05 | Blade To Blade | ♥ 2 | Really nice game! I loved the concept & your take on the theme. The different endings were also really cool. The opponent felt relatively predictable to me after the first dialog - when I went for the affection route, for example, they only attacked once - but maybe I just got lucky. I didn't really get what matching the dialog & action did (I only noticed the box highlighting while replaying for this comment), but other than that, great entry! | |
| Oct 4 09:12:09 | 24m 04s | 10 Seconds Solar | ♥ 3 | Nice game! I loved the solar flare effect, and the idea was really cool. The controls were pretty fun, but very hard to use when trying to reach the shelter: I kept overshooting it by a little, and then having to spend 2-3 seconds just to u-turn back towards it. The jet-pack was even worse, being pretty much a guaranteed lose if you missed by an inch. I tried the game for ~10 times and couldn't beat it - every time I made one small mistake causing me to die :( Nevertheless, I still managed to reach day 5 once, and it was still a fun (albeit a bit too hard for me) game! |
| Oct 4 14:23:40 | 5h 11m | The Goose Bureau | ♥ 2 | Great game! The graphics and audio are amazing, and I loved the Portal vibe. The entire game was surreal in a funny way. However, the lack of checkpoints really hurt it for me. It took me way too long to realize when to dash for maximum distance or the lever trick in level 2. I didn't beat level 3 because having to redo the green maze every time I died was too much for me :( Other than that, excellent entry! |
| Oct 4 14:33:12 | 9m 32s | Cursed to Hop | ♥ 1 | Really nice game! I loved the concept and your take on the theme. It was also pretty cool that each level had a different music. The controls were a bit weird - perhaps it would've worked better with the mouse? - but other than that, great entry! |
| Oct 5 15:52:08 | 25h 18m | Power Surge 51 | ♥ 1 | Amazing game! I loved the visuals, mechanics, audio - basically everything. I really enjoyed the freedom in later levels, and focused more on building optimized cities generating tons of energy & gems(?) than building the gate network I was supposed to build :) I did encounter some bugs besides the aforementioned non-resetting platforms glitch: I had a bug with the numbers where digits sometimes disappeared for no reason, and building stuff during a surge kinda messed some of the SFX for that surge. Other than that, incredible entry! |
| Oct 5 16:08:07 | 15m 59s | We Stole Aliens | ♥ 2 | Nice game! The title and premise are genius. I also really liked the graphics, especially the visual effects! The game was really confusing to me though - I tried it dozens of times and only managed to reach 145m :( I just could never find the road and kept bumping into trees. Maybe a map would help? Other than that, good entry! |
| Oct 5 16:47:45 | 39m 38s | Holospecter | ♥ 2 | Really nice game! I loved the amount of content it had, and the story & gameplay were really cool. All the stealth puzzles were very fun. The cooldown between stealth activations felt a bit too long - it wasn't very fun just standing around for 10 seconds - but it couldn't really be helped with this theme... Other than that, great entry! |
| Oct 10 16:42:52 | 119h 55m | Carton Carrier | ♥ 1 | Awesome game! I loved the gameplay, and the graphics & sounds were amazing too. It was really fun experimenting with different ideas and learning what works and what doesn't. I actually enjoyed the 10 seconds limit: it forced me to focus on quick-to-assemble builds, which was an interesting challenge - although the Tetris UI was instrumental for that. One thing I would've liked is a tutorial which explains what each part does: I still don't understand what the propeller and cone thing do. Other than that, incredible entry! As others have said, I'm waiting for a post-Jam multiplayer version :) |
| Oct 10 17:09:23 | 26m 31s | Curse of the Wereburger | ♥ 1 | Really nice game! The concept is absolutely genius, and the animations & voice acting really helped convey it. Personally, I really liked that you didn't use the "seconds" part of the theme - there aren't many other chill puzzle games in this jam :) One thing that confused me was the rifle enemies: it wasn't very clear that they attacked a turn after you entered their range, and sometimes I got shot when standing one tile below the end of their line of sight. Other than that, awesome game! |
| Oct 16 19:42:41 | 146h 33m | Eleventh Second | ♥ 1 | Amazing game! One of the most fun ones I've played this jam - the hook mechanic was just so well done. The music and graphics - especially all the visual effects - were also absolutely incredible. As others have mentioned though, the platform/battery generation felt a bit too random & unfair: I felt like most of the times I died were because I had a too long sequence of platforms without batteries, or the only platform being too close to the bottom. Also, there were a few rare instances where a platform was directly below/above a battery, and when I tried taking the battery, I ended up hooking to the platform instead, leading to a loss. Lastly, while the intro text implied an ending, it was pretty easy to miss the "thousand feet" line and think it was endless - I only noticed it when I restarted the game after a few tries. Perhaps showing the goal somewhere in the UI, or even counting the feet backwards like your previous game, would help? Other than that, really awesome entry! |
| Oct 16 20:06:16 | 23m 35s | Intomb | ♥ 2 | Amazing game! One of the best ones I've played this jam. Everything just worked so well together - the graphics, the narrative, the music, the gameplay... This was just perfect, as another commenter has said. I also loved the attention to detail - my favorite one was when the narrator instantly stopped you at the end when saying hold. Speaking of which, the narrator was absolutely awesome - reminded me a bit of Inscryption. A really minor nitpick was that the transition between levels could use some work - the music restarting each level felt a bit jarring. Other than that, incredible entry! |
| Oct 21 17:12:26 | 117h 06m | Office, Time loop and The End of the World | ♥ 0 | Nice game! I loved the premise, and memorizing where important stuff was to get them quickly each time was quite fun. The fact that you added a hint system with Death was a nice touch. It took me a while to realize that some stuff (knowledge) carried over between runs, even though it was a bit obvious in hindsight... Other than that, good entry! |
| Oct 21 17:26:52 | 14m 26s | BOMBA LINE | ♥ 0 | Really nice game! It was a pretty cool twist to the classic Snake game. As others have said, making the bomb sprite the same as the "tail" sprite was a bit confusing, but other than that, good entry! My highscore was 24 points. |
| Oct 21 17:36:31 | 9m 39s | Turnip Terrace | ♥ 0 | Really nice game! I liked the idea of using 10 seconds for day & night cycle. The graphics (and especially the animations) were quite good too. I felt like fetching the equipment from the edges of the screen instead of being able to choose which item to use was a bit annoying, but it was also the main challenge of the game. Other than that, good entry! |
