Apr 5 19:24:14 Schmetris ♥ 1 You have not used one of the big engines, that's cool. I am impressed by the low line count. A keybindings menu is always appreciated. I would have liked sounds, line clear animations and some wall kicks. Being able to move the tetromino when it touches the ground before it locks is nice too. You have made it in a way that it needs to "fall" an extra line to be locked, some Tetrises have a distinct delay for that as well as non-locking drops.
Apr 5 19:37:38 13m 24s Delay The Inevitable ♥ 0 Kudos for not using an engine. It's also nice to see a tate shmup. My main complaint is the screenshake, it hurts readability. It's better to keep that for big explosions.
Apr 5 20:01:10 23m 32s Death Is Real. ♥ 1 I had trouble placing items fast enough. I wish I could pause the level at least before it begins so I have time to think about how to solve it. Otherwise nice puzzle game !
Apr 5 21:14:29 1h 13m Match 3 Tetris ♥ 0 Good idea. I could totally top level players throwing mega combos at each other in a VS. mode. Also you have made permissive wallkicks that's good. Things to improve: - CW and CCW buttons - a non locking drop. At least I can wait for a tetromino to fall and place it under a overhang before it locks.
Apr 7 07:08:02 33h 53m Escape Grades ♥ 2 I wish there was a way to remap the controls. WASD is awkward on AZERTY keyoards. I don't know how destructing stuff would make mom less mad. I love the posters!
Apr 7 17:33:38 10h 25m The Inevitable ♥ 1 353.47s. I could delay it forever, but I stopped moving the obstacles around after 5 minutes. It took that AI extra time to decide to go through that iceberg blockade. I love the idea of impeding an AI.
Apr 7 18:37:41 1h 04m Holding On ♥ 1 I think Godot tried to create a full screen window using the wrong screen's resolution, which also stretched the image: 1.png It works when I unplug the portrait monitor. I don't know if something is supposed to happen when you lose all your lives, however "nothing" matched prerry well with the goal of letting it go. That's a clever fit for the theme! It's not a fun game but a good narrative one. Nice graphics and moodiest game so far!
Apr 7 20:37:29 1h 59m Run for Your Life ♥ 1 Awesome arcade game! The only caveat I see is that you are not visible when you are pushed by the green beams.
Apr 9 11:45:58 39h 08m ENDURACE - Drift Or Die ♥ 1 Good idea, but the car is too tail happy to enjoy it.
Apr 9 16:26:12 4h 40m Light-Fingered ♥ 2 Great job. Such a large area with such detailed graphics is impressive. I managed to exit the place but not to loot a lot of stuff. I would have played more if the FPS controls didn't make me sick.
Apr 9 21:00:55 4h 34m RIITA ♥ 7 Yeah a cat! Even better, two cats!! I love it! The songs could be longer through, so the Rhythm Game gameplay is interrupted less often. But short songs also means more opportunities to play a song for the cat. I would also have liked harder songs. Did I mention that I love cats?
Apr 10 21:03:11 24h 02m Neon Meltdown ♥ 2 Looks like a bad shmup at first sight, the main culprit is the inertia. It's quite hard to start. But after some time I learned which power-ups make the game playable and this becomes fun. Then there are new enemies and the right power-ups are not the same, and I have to balance them so I can survive now but I also have what I need to survive later. You did a great balancing job! But some power-ups still look mostly useless: accuracy, ghost ship, faster shots, fire rate is not what I expect but there is something else that does what I expect fire rate to do. I did not get past the purple rectangles. I like how the music evolves. The bloom could look nicer. I think you could use dithering to avoid banding. Even after getting better movements and movements speed power-ups, I still think inertia is a bad idea. It usually bad in shmups, with few exceptions like Asteroids. High score: 313.
Apr 13 19:07:13 70h 04m Escaping Precedent ♥ 1 Thank you for using physical scancodes instead of virtual keys. Wow this is hard! Maybe that's because I suck at mouse aiming. I don't know how to get the third ring, it looks like you can do some kind of wall jump but I have not managed to pull it off. The collisions can be improved, it looks like it's exactly the sprite so you can get stuck. Good job for the neon graphics!
Apr 14 21:01:28 25h 54m Super Crusher Fighters ♥ 1 This is the second time I play one of your NES LD entries. It's always amazing to see games made for older platforms and what you have done under the compo rules is impressive. It makes me wish I had a NES linker to play it on the real hardware on a CRT. I had a hard time learning how to place/remove/switch crate type. The controls are a bit awkward. It took me a lot of tries to clear some of the levels the first time. Some of them requires tight timings right from the beginning, knowing what to do beforehand and to not mess up crate placements. Continues are nice for that first phase of die and retry. Some of the latter levels which don't look like intended breathers are unexpectedly easy compared to how hard are some of the earlier levels. After some time, after knowing the solution to every level and what level comes next, I managed to 1CC it with a score of 43840. I think it should at least show the level for some time before you can move, or have a way to pause it. You don't have the time to think about how to solve it. Also an instant die button would have been nice. Well that's a lot of stuff for a NES controller but maybe with B=instant place/remove, up=switch type and select=die it would play more fluidly.
Apr 16 17:54:02 44h 52m Shotgun King: the Final Checkmate ♥ 1 Very fun and polished game, congratulations ! I am too focused on shooting pieces down that I forget this is chess and I should avoid getting checkmated.
Apr 17 20:04:23 26h 10m Seed Of Time ♥ 0 Great art! The level design is a bit twisted, I managed to finish it through I just rushed the final arena. The controls could be improved: - there is no remapping feature. I tried two different controllers before resorting to an Xbox controller. On a positive note thank you for the d-pad support (only on the Xbox controller for some reason). Given the binary move controls this is more accurate. - the keyboard controls uses virtual keys this causes issues on non-QWERTY keyboards.
