| Apr 7 00:35:02 | 1 Man 6 Bullets | ♥ 4 | I was sold as soon as I read the bizarre concept. And the gameplay delivers too! Feels slick and professional. At first I couldn't figure out what triggered bullet time / normal time, but I was certainly having a good time. | |
| Apr 7 03:04:01 | 2h 28m | Tamaghost Jump! | ♥ 1 | Great music and aesthetic! The calm piano music was unnerving in this context. Gameplay was smooth but occasionally unforgiving; I found it frustrating at times... those moving platforms destroyed me. I like the shift into weirdness, but wanted it to get a little weirder a little sooner. |
| Apr 7 03:19:44 | 15m 43s | Rage Against The Cocoon | ♥ 1 | I love the atmosphere and the absurdity of the premise. Controlling the caterpillar and camera could be quite difficult; my caterpillar head got stuck in the air for much of the game, and he wouldn't eat some of the food no matter how many times I went over it. But I still had fun crawling around; I could see this being a fun and relaxing game with some polish. |
| Apr 7 03:34:02 | 14m 18s | Vomit Mage | ♥ 1 | I like the concept-- a mage vomiting on spooky monsters is great. But it was too dark to see anything. I couldn't reliably aim my vomit. The enemies didn't kill me, but they pushed me into a wall where I couldn't do anything but restart. |
| Apr 7 04:01:15 | 27m 13s | ONCOMING | ♥ 2 | This is fun! I like the music and the shouting man sound. Getting a car to swerve into another was satisfying. I don't understand how much damage my vehicle can take, though. Sometimes I'd ram into a bunch of cars just fine; other times I would blow up from a side-swipe. It seemed like ramming into cars to get items wasn't worth the damage to your own vehicle. |
| Apr 7 15:03:09 | 11h 01m | I Hope You Die The Best Death | ♥ 1 | Interesting concept. I like the creepy music. The conversation options didn't really seem to fit with each other-- I once said "stones are my passion" and one of the following dialog options was about being a plumber. The end results always felt random, instead of the clear result of my choices. I like the laughing death skull and the flying poop though. |
| Apr 9 17:13:21 | 50h 10m | Delaying Death | ♥ 0 | I had fun with this one! Controls felt smooth, and it got pretty stressful when I was surrounded by skeletons, debating whether I should try to shoot them all or rush past them and board up a window to slow them down. The waves moved a bit too slowly; there were a lot of times when I was basically standing around waiting for something to happen. I chose not to board up windows on some waves, just so things would move faster. It took so long to get to wave 8 that when I died there, I didn't feel like spending all that time again just to see the boss. Maybe I'll try again later. Still, I enjoyed the time I spent on it, and would definitely play it again with some minor tweaks to speed things up. Great work! |
| Apr 9 17:31:37 | 18m 16s | Swerve City | ♥ 1 | This is a fun and original game. The music fits the aesthetic well. The missiles frustrated me at first, but once I realized that they are preceded by a sound effect and a visual cue, they were a welcome challenge. There were a few buildings I could just circle around forever without the cops ever chasing me. I would have liked more aggressive cops. But overall I enjoyed it! |
| Apr 9 21:34:22 | 4h 02m | SensenCemetery | ♥ 1 | This is a really cool idea-- I like the notion of seeing all the graves of previous players. However, there were so many tombstones that I couldn't really see anything-- I never found any rocks to throw. The mouse look was so fast that I often tried to turn down a corridor, but instead turned a full circle and ran right into Death. Ultimately I just kept dying right away without feeling like I had a chance. I would have preferred less repetitive music, or maybe just ambience instead. Still, I like the aesthetic, fast pace, and the generally spooky vibe. |
| Apr 18 18:07:55 | 212h 33m | Paper Boy Flyin' High | ♥ 1 | I love the chill vibe of this game-- until level 3, of course. The music fits the game very well. Unfortunately, the difficult was very uneven. Strangely, level 3 was by far the easiest for me since there were a lot of boosts. I couldn't even get half a kilometer in the first level. There were no boosts available, and I couldn't figure out how to gain momentum... until on one particular run, there happened to be an early boost, and I made it over 30 km easily. The player's success seems far more dependent on the random level generation than on the player's skill. The perspective makes it extremely difficult to hit the boosts-- more often than not, I would fly right over them. It didn't help that many of them were so low that I would hit the ground before hitting them. I also hit a lot of bridges that were above the screen. But when the levels generate favorably, this game is super chill and fun. I love the sudden transition to a hellish landscape after playing in relaxed environments, and the accompanying metal music. |
| Apr 18 18:26:51 | 18m 56s | Crumbling World | ♥ 1 | This is a fun game! Between the crumbling ground, waves of enemies, and laser machines, death definitely seemed inevitable. I was constantly on my toes, making sure I didn't every stop moving, trying to jump over those lasers while battling enemies... it was a good time. Ammo drops falling into the lava added to the sense of danger. The enemies stopped spawning after I killed 30 of them, though... so I guess death wasn't inevitable in that instance. The bubbling lava sounds add to the atmosphere, but I would have liked some music. Also, I didn't realize I was losing health at first, so maybe a more pronounced sound effect and a visual cue would help when the player takes damage. Well done! |
| Apr 18 18:43:57 | 17m 06s | ThatsLife | ♥ 1 | I had fun-- made it to the last round, but didn't quite beat it. I felt like I was often fighting my car-- it wanted to go its own way. But that, combined with the creepy repetitive music, made the game feel like a bizarre sort of nightmare. Not sure if that was intentional. The "weapons" looked like the boosts, which was confusing. I'm glad you let the player restart at the last wave. |
