Oct 5 04:54:16 Unsteady Bounce ♥ 1 Cute game! I love the sketch-y art style and the gameplay concept is fun! I feel like I never fully got the point of rotation speed though, it seemed like the two important meters were the jump force and direction. It also seemed like it would've been more intuitive to make the jump force up and down since it's controlling up and down movement. Additionally those controls could be clearer if the meter that's controlled by the up and down keys was vertical. I also feel like the reset time when you die might be a little too long. For a game like this, when I die, I usually want to get back into it as quick as possible so the reset time can become an unnecessary frustration. But overall, this game is a unique mix of a platformer and a catapult game that looks gorgeous. Nice work!
Oct 5 05:22:20 28m 04s Last Breath ♥ 3 Love the concept! It's an interesting spin on turn-based strategy game, and the mix of 2D/3D art styles looks really unique. The audio and VFX definitely add that extra bit of polish that make it feel complete. My only complaint would be the enemy heals often for what feels like too much health so it ends up dragging on the battle to feel too long. Also, the UI menus are all really tiny, I think this might be any issue of the UI not scaling with screen size. Overall, it's a neat concept with a lot of polish for a game jam game. Nice work!
Oct 5 05:34:36 12m 16s Horsey Bash ♥ 1 Cool concept! I like the aesthetic and the music. It could maybe use a bit of retuning, it feels like it's pretty equally difficult throughout. I think it's too chaotic right out of the gate, it might feel a little better if it starts out pretty easy then the timer gets faster and there are more enemies as you last longer. In any case, there's a lot of polish on this for a 48 hour game. Nice work!
Oct 5 05:45:09 10m 33s Portal Rescue ♥ 0 I love the gameplay! The mechanics feel like a unique mix of brick, pong, and angry birds, and the main menu music is a BOP!
Oct 5 05:58:21 13m 12s Volatile Defender ♥ 2 Cool concept! The gameplay is unique and the leaderboard is a nice feature; although, unfortunately I think it caused my game to freeze a couple times. The tutorial was really helpful. I ran into a bug occasionally where the bullets would just pass through the enemies but it didn't detract from the game. Overall the game felt like a well rounded experience, nice work!
Oct 5 06:03:42 5m 21s Human Resources ♥ 1 Very funny concept. Love the renaissance art style! Only thing that would be nice to have would be an alternative to scroll wheel (A and D maybe?) to be able to play on laptop.
Oct 5 06:18:33 14m 51s Puzzled Love ♥ 2 Cute way to tell a story! I love the art style.
Oct 5 06:38:50 20m 17s Dear Ghost ♥ 0 Very cute game! I love the art style and I appreciate that you got a lot of story content in here, that's not easy to do for a game jam. There did seem to be a decent amount of bugs, I wasn't able to give any items to characters or use them where it felt like I needed to. It also felt like I was getting wrong slices of dialogue for where I was in the game. The main character kept saying things like that she'd talked to the ghost or talked to the husband when I hadn't done those things. Nevertheless, it's a really charming game that I'd love to play more of.
Oct 5 06:55:50 17m 00s Hammer Keep ♥ 1 Fun game! The combat design is well done and it was cool that you had time to even get in a boss fight. That made it feel like a really fleshed out experience. Nice work!
Oct 6 04:23:52 21h 28m Grabanakki ♥ 1 Love it! Very polished, great art, music, sfx, and gameplay mechanics. Only complaint would be that the tuning is pretty difficult right out of the gate. I probably would've eased into it a little more (e.g. in the second level, making the bouncing enemies only take one hit perhaps) but no one has time for tuning in a game jam haha Nice work!
Oct 6 04:39:10 15m 18s Solar Colonies ♥ 1 Really fun game! It took me a little bit to figure out what exactly I was meant to be doing but once I did it was a pretty fun and balanced mechanic. My only complaint would be that it was a little bit difficult to collect people. I kept misclicking and deleted my buildings/trees. It'd be nice if there was a way to quickly collect them all or if you didn't have to collect them and just having them spawned in was enough. In any case, really fun polished game, I'd love to see this concept fleshed out into a longer game.
Oct 6 04:46:59 7m 49s The Blue Bedroom ♥ 1 Very pretty game, love the concept!
Oct 6 07:30:07 2h 43m Don't drop it! ♥ 1 Fun concept! This was one of the game mechanics I've enjoyed most so far! I think at times it was a little too hard, level 7 was a particularly finnicky one for so early on. I might just make that initial fall a little wider to be more forgiving. Also it would definitely help to have more detailed art instead of just blocks. Of course, you have to save time somewhere during a game jam but if you're going to flesh this out a bit more, I think making the blocks more distinguishable would definitely help. Overall, really fun game though!
Oct 8 03:12:16 43h 42m Should I Buy It ? ♥ 2 Enjoyable classic clicker game. These are always satisfying. There are some improvements that could be nice if you wanted to expand this post-jam though. It'd be nice if the scrollable zone showing your assets expanded as you added new assets instead of containing all the empty slots from the get-go. This also made it kind of hard to scroll through on laptop, I suspect scroll wheel is less sensitive than track pad. It'd also be nice to get a more clear indicator of the effect the news was having on the market. I did notice eventually that some things seemed to change prices and other things might be affecting how much money you're making but it's not super clear at the moment which made me feel inclined to just ignore the news section. As a minor UX thing, I feel like being able to just double click on something to buy it instead of clicking it and then clicking buy each time would make it feel better. Overall, it felt like a pretty polished clicker and I like the artwork. Nice work!
Oct 8 05:15:39 2h 03m A Long Way Home ♥ 1 Very cool game! I love the art style and the music, and the mechanics are pretty unique. My only feedback would be that at times it seemed like the physics of the ship was behaving unintuitively. I would be standing on the one end of the ship but it'd lean the other direction. In any case, it's a really interesting game that I'd love to play more of. Great work!
Oct 8 05:25:44 10m 05s Hexworld ♥ 0 Really interesting game! The mechanics are really unique and it's satisfying to build up a big chunk of land. Nice work!
